Pier 62 (Chelsea Piers) is definitely awesome, especially for vert’ skaters. My one big complaint, is because of the light colored concrete surface, it turns into a solar oven during the hot sunny months.

The worst skatepark in NY is a closed tennis court in bedstuy that's set up with concrete slabs and plywood, you come in through a hole in the gate and immediately get tetanus
Hey what do you guys think about 53mm or 54mm 92a ricta clouds wheels with a baker 8.0 board with indy stage 11 hollow trucks 139, for all around cruising and also doing tricks? Is that a good all-around board setup, or is there any other suggestions for a cruise and trick board.
globe thing in flushing= the unisphere! its get used in alot of music videos and scenes in movies. im surprised i didnt see london skatepark out on atlantic ave in Queens on this list it has a little bit of everything and the people that go there are all great. Also Jackson Heights \ Corona has dope Spanish \ indian food real cheap as well. if you are taking the 7 train from times Square the 7 train with the Diamond logo is the express line as well.

I have just started skateboarding and I have a very bad fear of dropping in! Anyone have any suggestions. I have dropped in before but for some reason I just can't do it again... Thanks of anyone would like to help!
Please dont focus on dropping in yet, you just started. Get the feel of bigger ramps. But, lean forward (not too much) on the coping and ramp, but when you hit flat just level out so you dont fall on your face. Ride on!

I visit astoria skate park just to watch because it’s right under a bridge and it’s very relaxing 100% recommend
