lo-fi music explained

what is lo-fi?
a lot of people get genres mixed up so im here to state the facts
something to note - im aware of pre 1980s lofi music but ive never gotten into it as i have with indie rock bands
this was made because of the absurd abundance of lofi explanation videos that revolve around the 24/7 chillwave stream, which i thought was pretty funny
