Veneer - Painting Over an Abandoned Painting(Time-Lapse)

I painted over an abandoned painting with oils. Normally, I'd wipe it out, but I let it go too long and it dried, so I used the foundation for a non-referenced exploration.

Hi. No, it's wet when I'm painting into it. The only dry part is the starting painting. It's why I can wipe away to reveal some parts of the old painting.

I heard on a podcast about how J.C. Leyendecker put blue and green on his characters' faces yet still made it look like skin. I see you doing exactly that. Most of those colors, people wouldn't associate with skin. Yet, it looks natural in your paintings.
