As a bassist just trying to get a feel for Headrush stuff I have to say your video has been one the best I've seen. You actually go through and give some meaningful bass sounds and set ups. So many of these videos just have the bass doing weird pitch and modulation stuff with nothing useful. Thank you!
I was just looking at this one for my Les Paul, but I also play bass, and I wanted to see if it was able to handle that too. You just sold me on getting this 😁 That Ampeg SVT tone was NASTY. 😖 Thanks for the video!
Refuse and reject dirty fuzz tones but your walkthrough was very helpful, thanks. My bass baseline used to be the legendary Gallien Krueger MB 150, years ago, seems harder to find used nowadays. Only time I ever increased budget 80-100% upon first listen, it easily slayed every other midrange Ashdown, Peavey and so on. With the MX5 onboard instead these days and these kind of options I'll be looking into some sort of PA system or an active FRFR 12" with sub out option if such a thing exists.
@@supercrossfire20 I actually took it back to Guitar center, before my 45 days were up, and got the Headrush Prime. Which happened to be the last one in stock, in NJ. 😂
Thanks I'm glad you enjoyed it! I'm sorry, brother. I don't have those available publicly but it doesn't mean I won't some day. I'll see what I can't do.
what if your using this direct to a bass head and cab do you need cabs at then end of the chain? would this go to the bass head effects loop? How could you get to signal chains with this so you have a wet dry chains to not loose bottom end with pedals?
If you're plugging this into a bass and cab make sure the cabinets/IR blocks are deleted or at least turned off. If you're going wet/dry you'll need to make sure your signal path splits to L and R with one of them with a cab at the end of the signal chain going direct and then the other output to your amp has no cab/IR
I sold mine shortly after posting my MX5 videos. I eventually landed on the Ampero II Stomp and I'm loving it. It's funny you mentioned hum and then said you switched to a Boss product. After I sold the MX5 I bought a Boss GT1000CORE. That Boss pedal was the worst piece of gear I ever owned. One of the reasons was it had introduced hum into everything and even with both Noise Suppresors on. I hope you're enjoying your Boss pedal though. Not sure if I got a lemon but I'll never buy a multi-effects Boss product again.

Good question 😊

This thing also has 20 minutes of loop time, which I think is AWSOME. Great Video!
Yeah if you value the looper feature THIS is the pedal you want for sure! Thanks!
Which fuzz pedal are you using
@Kyle LaManna the JHS 3 Series Fuzz. Highly recommended BTW :)

@@supercrossfire20 I haven't spent much time with this one yet.
Awesome tones! Btw, where did you get the Gailen Krueger amp modeler from? I'm an Mx5 user and I've been looking for it like forever
Hey thanks! There is a newer version now but you find the vst here: audified.com/products/gk-amplification-3-pro/. It's from Audified.
Great video, thank you. I really love the BASS GK W CABS patch. Do you happen to have it avilable for purchase/download?

The horrible hum that kept on appearing has totally put me off getting this effects processor. Will stick to my boss gt1b.

@priorwitness my GT-1B works flawlessly I have had it about 2 years and never had a problem.
Gi-hugey size 😀
can you share the patches?
I mean the rig files
I would also love to get those files
yes please :)
Why is the sound in majority of bass mx5 video so bad, bassy...?
So the clean Octaver sounds really average. Damn
Yeah it gets the job done but it isn't anything special. You could use it live and nobody would care I'm sure.
