Thanks for the practical tips, any suggestions on what DI type to use best? I havent been able to determine use differences with the two active basses I have been using?
I’ve honestly found that when going ampless, using one of the built in amps, the solid state DI’s in my opinion sounded best. But using and IR for an amp, the tube DI’s sound best. When I run the B6 with my amp, I use neither as to not color the sound of my amp, and use the amps DI. The best way to hear the difference in them though is to plug into a mixer and hear it that way. Straight headphones doesn’t do it justice.
I appreciate this video. I'm thinking of getting a B6 and matching it with Phil Jones C2 for practicing at home. Does the B6 have a power amp stage that will allow me to connect it directly to the C2 cab?
Nice. I’ve heard so many people say their tone sounds great at home in their headphones, but when they get on stage it sucks. Your speaker gives it its true sound. Do you play live with it? And if so, are you micing the cab or using an output to the PA?
You can, but you might want to be prepared for a little fine tuning during your soundcheck. A bass amp will color your sound a bit different than a PA system.
I am just using the factory power supply. I use the MX5 by itself as of now. I do know for some reason the MX5 requires a good amount of power. 12v 3.0amp center positive. Many pedal power supplies cannot power it.
is there also a way to make the b6 sound good when plugged directly into the input of an amplifier? I don't really get a very nice result and sometimes thats your only option...
When I use it with an amp, I only use the B6 as a effect board and do not use any preamps. I feel using a preamp or amp, then into an amps preamp make the sound too muddy. This video shows how I run it when I use my amp with the B6.ua-cam.com/video/9LBgU_sDr_o/v-deo.htmlsi=L8zSl57GXcPWcGU-
You can override the amp "influence" by plugging into the Return of the stereo effects loop usually located behind some amps. This will override the amp EQ and give your B6 full EQ control.
I appreciate your videos so much!! I have a B6 and I’m learning so much through your videos. Thank you!
Thank you. I try to keep it simple, Atleased in my mind!!!!
Thanks for sharing this with us Terry. Best wishes 😎😎🎶🎶🎶🎶
Thank you!!!
Great advice. Thanks!
Thank you for watching
Nice video. I will also add to utilize your di modeler to fit the room that you are playing in.
For sure. No two stages are the same.
If I could like your video a 2nd time for "know is half the battle", I would. The battle is 25% red lasers, 25% blue lasers, and 50% knowing.
Thanks so much for watching and the kind words

No, the B6 will require a power amp between itself and the speaker.
I play thru my 2k watt 112. Gonna get another 112 actually to run in stereo.

Sir how is the zoom b2 four for first time buyer ?
I am confused between ms 60b, b1 x four, b2 four please suggest me .
Without playing through them, I would have to say the B2 four would be the best bet because it seems to have more control over the features.
Can you get dialed in using a bass amp, but then just using the B6 at the gig ampless?
You can, but you might want to be prepared for a little fine tuning during your soundcheck. A bass amp will color your sound a bit different than a PA system.
How you power up your mx5? Are you using different power supply?
I am just using the factory power supply. I use the MX5 by itself as of now. I do know for some reason the MX5 requires a good amount of power. 12v 3.0amp center positive. Many pedal power supplies cannot power it.
Are you using B6 for 6 string guitar? Thought it was for Bass guitar only
I use it for bass guitar, live, and in the studio. I primarily purchased the MX5 to use for guitar but I do use it on bass from time to time.

Also, consider turning off the cab sim if you are already running through one.
