與其他校園戀愛番不同的是，這部番不僅是講戀愛，而是講高中，講高中生，學習，玩耍，打工，參加社團活動，無一不映射鮮活的高中生形象，作者真的很厲害，對每一個角色的刻畫都是如此真實，細緻，我記得有宇被校暴然後永夢去保護那段，那三個校霸一拳拳打在永夢身上，是真的讓人看得心疼，但是儘管永夢打不過，他依然要張開手臂，保護朋友，讓朋友逃走，平常總開有宇玩笑的那個永夢，如今在保護他，在校園戀愛番中還能讓友情閃閃發光，而又不致偏題，我實在是很欽佩。
男女主感情發展的曲折也是寫得很厲害，女主因為學習而跟男主提出分手我當時是沒有想到的，當時第七集才剛發完福利，然後馬上就來一刀，但是從第八集開始，可以看出是男主的一個態度大轉折點，從之前對什麼事都漠不關心的樣子，到開始奮筆疾書，開始積極處理人際關係，為了完成追回女主的計劃而到處打工，到更後來天橋跪求女主那段，真的是將男主這個角色形象寫得淋漓盡致，這不僅是突出了一個純情少年的形象，更是突出了一位奮鬥青年的形象。
整部番不仅讲的是校园恋爱，更讲的是高中生的故事，讲的是奋斗的故事，讲的是奋斗青年为了青春挥洒汗水的故事，讲的是青年为了更好的未来拼尽全力的故事，短短十二集，浓缩的是高中生三年的平凡日常。所以我本身作为高中生，虽然不是日本高中生，但是我都看几遍哭几遍。所以，ED《あきらめないで》这个歌名，更是突出了主题：“永不言弃”，这说的是男主与女主的恋情，也说的是高中生为自己的人生拼搏的故事，整体的曲调突出的也是青春，热血，奋斗，拼搏。小说我也看了好多遍，对比动画，真的，改的部分，还有还原的部分，都很强，所以原作者，强，动画组，也十分强，再加上豪华的声优阵容，成为当年的四月霸权，实属名副其实，我甚至有些怀疑是否能成新国家队？
另外有消息說作者六月要發新書，好像是這個的續，四百多塊，我已經攢好打算買了。
