I work in an office (not as an attorney), and I am an introvert. However since the beginning of covid, I work from home more. I love the lack of a commute, but it's odd for me to admit I miss people. But only in small doses. Prior to covid, my job definitely taught me how to "flex" a bit so that I could do more extroverted things as part of my job, and I think being home alone and not having a dog or spouse to interact with all feed into my missing the office environment and people sometimes.
Totally relatable. As an introvert, I jumped at a remote job opportunity a year ago and now realized I kinda missed going back to the office and interacted with people in person.
Thanks so much Em for this video!! I wonder if you could also do an episode on working together with your husband and what that's like, in particular how it has affected your relationship?
A community and a strong support network are important when you're.doing you own thing. I hope that you'd find more fellow content creators and plug into their circles. They may be online too.
I work in a office, Its just me and my boss but sometimes boss goes to travel overseas, I kind relate to you because it feel excited when he goes...but if he goes for long time... I feel need of some human interaction everyday, just as you said just little more than I think I need.
One of the reasons i'm moving back to Hong kong (2006-2013) after 10 years away (i'm living in a nice town on the sea here in Italy with my house super close to the beach) is because i work alone at computer all day. So in my free time i need to live in a vibrant city alive 24h like hong kong. I just need to go downstair to see full of life.
Hey Em! Interesting video as per usual. Might be obvious but I did not realize that you were working using two langages. Is English your second and Cantonese your first? Thanks!

That's interesting to hear, I can totally relate to the "in small doses" bit! Thanks for sharing 🙂

Totally relate to that - I really enjoy being in a lively city, even if I'm not necessarily being very social when I'm out and about!
@@EmandLloyd exactly!!! Can't wait to be back this year!
