This man is a god. Lost would not be the same without its music. Imagine Locke banging on the hatch or O6 stepping off the plane while its silent in the background
His music applies so much pressure to scenes. It's awesome the power this music has over a scene and sometimes it's hardly any music at all, like the harp for example, just one note but makes a scene so tense.
Michael Giacchino is one of the most tallented people ever, as a composer he is equal to anyone I have ever heard, as far as a movie/tv composer he is easly as good as John WIlliams or Mark Snow (who was the composer for the X-files).
HEY! That "flapumba" or however it is spelled @ 6:50 sounds EXACTLY like the sound at the beginning of Steely Dan's "Ricky Don't Lose That Number"! I always thought it was a synth (and maybe it actually was) but dang that really sounds like it.
I love this man, "There's No Place Like Home" = automatic tears! And he was robbed of an Emmy this year, he lost to whoever the hell does the score for "24" and it makes me RAGE...
Well, 24s score is not bad at all. I'm surprised it won against lost, I didn't know that. I've watched Lost, 24 and Prison Break too. They are all my favorites
i wish they had sumthin like this for heroes. I always liked both soundtracks, but Heroes sounds like the same music from the first (only good) season looped over and over again
This guy is one of the best composers ever imo
I love the Lost soundtracks. Whenever I do a rewatch I also listen to all the soundtracks.
Michael Giacchino and John Williams are amazing
Michael thank you for amazing music in movie Lost. I wish you all the best.
I want to thank him for the music from Inside Out!
Michael Giacchino is a genius!! His music is EPIC!
Whenever I listen to a michael giacchino song for the first time. I get chills during the whole song.

Increidble. The ending was awesome how he creates the ending music.
I'm going to miss LOST... and its amazing music.
Locke'd Out Again, Life and Death, Hollywood and Vines, and Credit Where Credit is due. Best songs ever
What this guy does is nothing short of brilliant.
Damn right. Everything he's scored has been amazingly great!

miachael giacchino in cod 1 in medal of honor in lost in so many more musics freaking aesome did even knew he did do mutch themes O__O
Michael Giacchino is a genius !
That's so cool. He's looks just as unassuming as any music student - but it so happens that he's an Oscar-winning genius.
He better get the Oscar this year.
That harp string was another character
I would love to work for him when I get older! I'm jealous.
I love "remembering Jenny" by Christoph Beck!
I found on google, there's a PETITION for a Lost The Final Season 4CD Soundtrack Release ! Amazing !!!!
The music at 4:44 is gorgeous
genious
Giacchino is just great, but it really astounds me of how much of a regular guy he is. He's just like you or me, yet he composes great music.
They mention Star Trek Into Darkness even though this video was uploaded in 2007????
I know I am 6 years late on this comment, but this is about the 2009 Star Trek film
Haha the harp bit!
Whose going to Dublin?
LOST: I LOVE IT
Wow nice
what's the technique he uses at 5:15 called? on the cello
He composed the Score for Secret Weapons Over Normandy. Do you know what that is?
that black guy is officially my hero. LOOK AT HIS EYES.
wow
I would compare him to Joe Hisaishi, the composer for Studio Ghibli films (Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, etc.).
Michael is good. What do you all think of Christophe Beck?
8:08 is the best
@Illumatrix2 I agree.
i wish they had sumthin like this for heroes. I always liked both soundtracks, but Heroes sounds like the same music from the first (only good) season looped over and over again
@electric947 Now the series is done...
@McDrummerSLR Digital Performer :)
@Giannantonio83 why cant you understand that? perhaps they are a genius musically
@gariadara
Not sure it's in my powers to hook you up. You could always post a video and hope for the best.
Brad Bird/Michael Giacchino/J. J. Abrams is the new George Lucas/John Williams/Steven Spielberg.
2:15, he said C, but she played E ((((((
Fedor Voronov Eb
That's Michael Giacchino?...
Why...WHY DID YOU CANCEL IT!!! WHYYYYYY
@electric947 Um, yes it was >.>
i hate how the voice and actions are out of sync..:( but good video anyways..
naw I'm sayin'...Hillarious
Or you could just subscribe to the Official LOST podcast.
@PurushaDesa I think he's cute.
Super 8... well nevermind this comment was a year old.
he's right about the harp... so creepy.
Sul ponticello.
