“Nobody needs this platform” is what’s quoted. As I said in the video the reasoning to not launch or port their games isn’t unheard of but the fact it’s an anonymous source and no one else has cited the same source makes it questionable.

“Disavowed” very specific word to use in this case. They did deny support of the person in question but did not deny it happening. There also have been concerns with mistranslations but this interaction was never said to not have happened. I also think that as far as my assessment goes I was very fair and did voice concerns with the legitimacy as this was one source citing this interaction.
Given how large the Chinese PC market is, I would imagine that the developer's projections would have seen performance of Phantom Blade 0 on Xbox be less than 10% of its lifetime sales. Playstation sales may be projected for no greater than 25% but the key benefit of making the game unofficially exclusive is the international marketing that they are receiveing. China's gaming scene is predominantly centered around internet cafés with less than half of all Chinese gamers owning their own consoles or PCs.
PS5 will be the majority of its sales as it is with most games.

Nintendo, PC and Playstation, ask any dev and they'll tell you this. Platforms where you can actually sell units.
Honestly the only reason I stay on Xbox is because I don’t wanna lose all my game progress, and the LFG, but if ps5 gets an LFG I might have to cut my losses.
Launching two hardwares this gen is a honestly a weird decision when devs are struggling with developing games. If the PS5 pro launches, the pro version itself could even outsell the combined X+S making it even less attractive for devs to develop on the Xbox.
