The Blotter Books at 9:13...a price please???? Be still my heart over those 2 tone navy shoes, fabulous! Also the Toy Town smalls made me practically squeal! But I love those books.
I grew up on a farm in KS. And we had a rural route address into the 1980s. I didn't realize that convention had been phased out by many places by the '60s. Now I really do feel like I grew up in the sticks. 😆
@@TheAntiqueNomad You had a box number - talk about fancy!!! We had name, closest town and RR 1. Gotta run - the timer for our Christmas night oppossum stew just rang. Just to error on the side of caution for all readers that last bit was a joke. 😂
Thanks for sharing and letting me see some new "old" things. So much fun going shopping with you. I learn all kinds of new stuff every time. Have a great day and safe travels. Happy Holidays to you and yours
What a awesome Christmas Surprize!! Thanks for the special video&thanks to Dave too!! Everyone needs to watch this!!! So interesting &variety of collectibles!!
Merry Christmas and a happy new year. Great video. Dave has an amazing collection antiques. Suffolk is a lovely place about 2 hours away from London and adnams is really well known here in the UK
Merry Christmas, George! Those old banks were really cool. I have one of the Wolverine subs, and it's in really good condition. Back in the '70s, I had some black shoes like the disco ones. I really liked the brass telescope. That Alaska ice box really interested me. I liked that. The fishing lures, in the original tins, would go well on my shelves with the vintage fish planters. That memory jug was fascinating. I'd like to have the gyrocopter aeroplane. That was cool. The B. B. B. humidor interested me. I liked the in-your-face jab a prohibition. Geez! There was so much stuff that was super-cool and interesting there! It was more like a museum, and everything captured the eye. Thanks for taking us along!
Ooh neat! That sub is one of the cooler things I've seen in awhile. I had one pair of platform shoes but I have to admit I bought it years after they were in style to use as part of a Halloween costume. The Alaska ice box is a good one, and that Memory Jug was really neat! I would own that gyrocopter too. The B.B.B. humidor is so funny, I'd own that piece! I knew you'd enjoy this one, glad you had fun seeing it.
Sorry I missed the live. Cory and I decided to have date night dinner and a movie at home. He made cheesy potato chowder and biscuits! We watched 'Slumberland'. See you next Monday! ❤️🌹😊
Hi George, great informative video!! Love olde advertising, the graphics are amazing. Saw so many I have in my collection, was all excited to see them in this video. You didn't mention the chalkware Mutt & Jeff, I found d the same pair at an estate sale years ago. I could really relate with all this, thanks for the entertainment tour. Hope your have a wonderful new start of the year, more treasures waiting to be found, many thanks!!
Have been watching you for a long time now but just subscribed. Sorry for lagging on that. In today's video with Dave at the 10:22 time mark was that a jar of marbles you lifted off the small Alaska ice box? If so is that for sell? Thank you George for you informative videos and I promise to be a better subscriber. Happy holidays.
correct me if i'm wrong, but, i thought those 'banks of the parties' were for used blades from shaving, however, there were those that also used them as coin banks, jes' sayin' ....

Ours lasted until 1982, we were RR 3 Box 380, even though we lived just 5 miles from rather sizable towns

Fantastic stuff!
Bunker hill pickle bottles are before 1910..
I should’ve recognized that from the seams
Great advertising collection. The Times Square tobacco pocket tin at 23:20. Price on it??

The listerine banks were largely used for razor blades. Generally if you can’t open to get coins out, they were for used razors
Nomad, is your cousin Tom Askgem?
I follow him too, as he digs old outhouse pits for Hutchinson bottles
No, my cousin is Curbdigger Carl out of Denver and FLorida
Thumbs up 👍
@antique nomad: It's 28 above now. The last few days have been the mid 30s.
Please explain “transfer wear”. TY
Transfer wear is a transfer decal of a design sealed under a glaze, as opposed to being painted by hand. Most dinnerware nowadays is transferware
How much for the Alaska ice box at 10:20?
Danish Ballhead…? Kale ? 😁
29:26 the Cape Cod Tobacco tin?
I'm sorry, that isn't a good time stamp--please resend
