It makes you wonder if Verne had of made Hogan his number one star would WWE be the monster it is now or even still be around today considering it was built around Hogan ?
Hulk Hogan was essentially Babe Ruth of wrestling who transcended the sport into global phenomenan. And I always say Ric Flair was the Hank Aaron of wrestling who was consistent and had amazing long career. But Hogan in my book had a greater impact to the casual fans.

I honestly don’t get why ppl hate on Hulk, the Hulkster, and Hulkamania. He was THE reason that we were HOOKED on the WWF as youngsters. I still remember suplexing and pile driving, and camel clutching, headlocking each other like crazy during lunch recess in the 80s.....my classmates watched the other promotions too, but it was strictly WWF for me. I remember being in the corner stores and reading up on the Pro Wrestling magazines and being absolutely turned off by the lower quality aesthetics of the NWA(Ric Flair, champ) & AWA(Rick Martel, champ). Those other two promotions weren’t up to par with he WWF. The WWF had a more complete presentation quality, while the other two looked cheap, like they were conducted in dark, dank, stinky, pool halls💩🤮 It’s no surprise the WWF looked more alluring to other promotions’ star wrestlers because as time passed you started seeing other promotions’ CHAMPIONS come to the WWF just to be mainly MIDCARDERS!! The Hulkster (with Vince behind the scenes) led the WWF to insane heights, as corny as he may have been to others💯 And I still say WWF!!!
Its because of the jealousy within Hogan's wrestling circle. He was the top dog in a dog eat dog business. He created his own lane. Fans just look for controversial and embellished stories from old bitter wrestlers to regurgitate from and it creates instant hatred.

Excellent video it captures the concept Hulk hogan to Hollywood hogan
Love the content & videos keep dropping these🔥🔥 videos nothing but respect
Well ya know something dude!? It's not every day that Wrestling Bios tackles the power of Hulkamania, brother. Here at the Pontiac Superdome!
Who could hit the thumbs down button on this? This is very well done.
Shawn Michael
People will hit the thumbs down button seconds (and I mean seconds) after it is uploaded. Lots of assholes on UA-cam, plain and simple.
Andre the giant makes me laugh just listening to stories about him hahah
hogan was friggin AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is absolutely fantastic 💪👍
Perfect timing💯
Great video about Hulk Hogan.
Thank you brother!
It makes you wonder if Verne had of made Hogan his number one star would WWE be the monster it is now or even still be around today considering it was built around Hogan ?
Vince was primed for a run with or without Hogan. He was too aggressive a businessman to allow not having Hogan to stop him.
Hulk Hogan was essentially Babe Ruth of wrestling who transcended the sport into global phenomenan. And I always say Ric Flair was the Hank Aaron of wrestling who was consistent and had amazing long career. But Hogan in my book had a greater impact to the casual fans.
Zeus come on man my grandmama bought me that chain!😞
Oh he gonna cry in the car...
Whether they like it or not hulk hogan is the reason why wwe become popular back then
Very well said. Well explain I actually enjoy all your insights.! Extremely, to a good job you’re extremely detailed.! I was a huge fan in the late 70’s to early 90’s. That’s after the fact.! The legends. I really agree with Randy Savage could of made it strictly on his own. I do believe that.!
Your right about the stars that where the Mega Powers with TV screens not being able to handle it. Watching those couple of still frames with the 2 and Miss Elizabeth even our modern devices feel like they should just Crack in half seeing the sheer magnitude of the MEGA POWERS!! Looking back they were the 2 man power trip (STONE COLD & HHH) of their era.
As a child Warrior was my hero and while I liked Hulk I was so excited to see my hero win this match. I was a young kid and this match is likely what made me a wwf mark
AWA could have been huge if Gange knew what he had in Hogan
I'm gonna have to say - as a kid, Hogan vs Andre was the greatest thing ever. As an adult, the match itself is terrible. The -4 rating for the quality of the match is accurate, but the buildup, storytelling, and emotions for the match are a 5/5
Exactly, the rating is based on actual in ring wrestling which was horrific, as a event 10/10
Really good information
excellent as always.... should cover matt borne career many do not release he preformed in wm1 with steamboat
Man I use to have hulkster and Macho man pillows shape like them and use yo watch black and white hulkster wrestling videos having tag team.maches with the pillows man those were the days hulk hogan got me into wrestling I loves that guy
I love your history on nitro vs raw keep up the good content awesome I love the history and dark side of the ring story's I don't watch wrestling much but I love the history I loved wrestling in the 90$ shawn Michaels was my favorite wrestlers
thx 4 this really well done documentary. Hogan had an incredible run with Andre the Giant, Macho Man and the ultimate warrior. Than I lost some interest in the WWE until Stonecold came along.
Another great video mate! Keep them coming.
Can i ask are you of Irish or British heritage?
Your hogan comment made curiosity get the better of me
Excellent job on this doc
Another great video thank you.
Please consider doing a video on the "Macho Man" Randy Savage.
Awesome video brother
32.25 ahh the big blue cage. There is nothing more nostalgic then that.
Hogan's constant balding and attempt to keep long hair always entertained me almost as his actual wrestling lmao
....no areial shots, godammit! Keep it low, I want to see those blonde locks flow, not a goddam skullcap!!! - Vince, probably
True. Me too. As a 6-7 year old in the 80s, i always thought anyone who was bald was automatically really really old so i was drawn into trying to figure out how old Hulk was and how the F he could still wrestle and be so big at 55+
Look at you hate
@@jimodirakallumkal5351 Ironically enough Hogan’s bald head has kept him relevant even today. His old ass balding look has put him in the ageless wonder category for his whole career.
@@jimodirakallumkal5351 he’s actually not that old surprisingly enough right now he’s in his late 60s
Love the consistency!! Finish the invasion and the rock before Hollywood rock period ! Love your channel
These are great- good work!
Really great videos, man.
Oh! You're in Belfast too? Nice!!!

The Hulkster (with Vince behind the scenes) led the WWF to insane heights, as corny as he may have been to others💯
And I still say WWF!!!
Its because of the jealousy within Hogan's wrestling circle. He was the top dog in a dog eat dog business. He created his own lane. Fans just look for controversial and embellished stories from old bitter wrestlers to regurgitate from and it creates instant hatred.
@@Sean_78 sounds about right
Well presented and insightful
