Daniel Smith has been an amazing project manager throughout this journey. His attention to detail is second to none! Once the team finishes reconstructing Jerusalem, we hope to digitally reconstruct the rest of the Biblical world as accurately as possible, beginning with Galilee and then out into the major ares of the Jewish Diaspora mentioned in Paul's journeys (Turkey, Greece, Italy). From there we want to go further back in time and rebuild the world of the Old Testament region by region. Great scripture adventures await as we are able to create accurate replicas of these significant places in history.
Did you guys realize that you didn’t actually show the temple in this video? You showed how you made it. But you didn’t actually give us a walk-through at any point. Just snippets and close-ups of tiles. Can we see the actual model with a narration of what everything is, and where everything is? I thought that was coming at the end, but it never did. This is a “how we did it” video.

I just love seeing models and depictions of the temple- you have to visualize it because it was written about in so much depth in scripture. It was a big deal. And seeing these images help imagine what it was like approaching the temple in those days! A symbol of Gods precense among them- living among them- on earth!. I can never really get my arms around it but this site clearly out of love, aims to help us imagine. I also just love to think about the priests garb- the stones, breast plate, shoulder stones w names of tribes symbols of carrying the weight of the tribes, the tassles, the fabric, bells - something so special. Who could have designed this stuff? back then? Blows my mind. Thanks Guys.
My grandfather made a wooden replica of the Temple based on the miniature that used to be displayed in that hotel yard. It seems I'll have to follow his footsteps and build another one

I'm always happy when people recreate scenes from the scriptures, as it makes it so much easier to connect with the scriptures when I know how these scenes would have looked. Wow truly amazing. While doing my daily reading and studying of the Holy Bible, I came across this video. I was reading Ezra and Nehemiah and the rebuilding of Jerusalem's first destruction. I would love that you would take it to the next level and recreate this in the technology of today, in virtual reality by someone who is well learned with the unreal engine. This video is amazing. What is more amazing is all the care that was taken in the rendering, all the research and talent. Is there any chance that there will be more on this model. It seems ashame fir all that work to result in only a series of fly through shorts. How wonderful it would be to be taken on a long form virtual walking tour with a guide explaining and elaborating on the temporal and spiritual elements that were considered in both the modeling and in the original architecture... What I am trying to say this video was so tantalizing that I am made soooooo hungry for more. God bless you
I was expecting a walk-through of the entire temple complex and temple and was disappointed not to have it. However, the work they put into this was exceptional and I'm grateful for what was presented. I'd just love to see more.

Thank you! Ezekiel’s temple probably will be a few years as we first want to finish Jerusalem at the the time of Jesus and at the time of Solomon. The Temple Institute has not contacted us, but really this is the first major video we have done on the temple. Their research was very helpful as we worked on the project.

After 40 years of studying the Temple, one can say that this video is profound. By any chance, do you offer color prints of your work to the public? If so, how does one obtain them? Such would be outstanding reference material. Thank you for your exceptional work.
This is a good start. However, it needs more editing. Josephus describes the first century Jerusalem Temple gate doors as being 149 feet high and 24.5 feet wide. It had also golden vines above it, from which clusters of grapes hung as tall as a man's height. The Mishna (M. Middot 3.8) also recalls a great golden vine over the doorway of the sanctuary: “A golden vine stood over the entrance to the sanctuary, trained over posts; and whosoever gave a leaf, or a berry, or a cluster as a freewill-offering, he brought it and hung it on there. R. Eliezer bar R. Zadok said: It once happened that three hundred priests were appointed [to move it].”
This is the first of a series of videos showing the model. Future videos will go more in depth on the building itself. This video had the purpose of showing why we built what we did and how.
Great work! What did you use to create the models? If you did it in something like Unreal, an interactive experience that let you walk through the model on a computer or VR headset would be incredible. If not, we'll just have to settle for more of these beautiful videos 😁
We used Unreal. He eventual goal is to release some sort of interactive AR, VR, or app experience. Still to be determined. But for now we will have lots of videos coming out!

Nothing yet. We hope to eventually have some sort website, AR/VR, or app type experience but we first have to finish the rest of Jerusalem. It is a massive project with the level of detail we are including so it’s just taking time. Glad you enjoyed it! This is Daniel responding by the way.

We made the model in Unreal and have put it in VR to try out. Still a lot we need to do but we hope to eventually release something to the public.

Magnificent! My dreams as a Jew that the 3rd temple would be rebuilt, this is not just a symbol of Judaic historical temple, but I see it as a symbol of unity for all Abrahamic religions!

We are working on Solomon’s temple as we speak. Good amount of it is done, so hopefully next year some time.

Thank you! Ezekiel’s temple probably will be a few years as we first want to finish Jerusalem at the the time of Jesus and at the time of Solomon. The Temple Institute has not contacted us, but really this is the first major video we have done on the temple. Their research was very helpful as we worked on the project.

This is a good start. However, it needs more editing. Josephus describes the first century Jerusalem Temple gate doors as being 149 feet high and 24.5 feet wide. It had also golden vines above it, from which clusters of grapes hung as tall as a man's height.
The Mishna (M. Middot 3.8) also recalls a great golden vine over the doorway of the sanctuary:
“A golden vine stood over the entrance to the sanctuary, trained over posts; and whosoever gave a leaf, or a berry, or a cluster as a freewill-offering, he brought it and hung it on there. R. Eliezer bar R. Zadok said: It once happened that three hundred priests were appointed [to move it].”

Great work! What did you use to create the models? If you did it in something like Unreal, an interactive experience that let you walk through the model on a computer or VR headset would be incredible.
If not, we'll just have to settle for more of these beautiful videos 😁
We used Unreal. He eventual goal is to release some sort of interactive AR, VR, or app experience. Still to be determined. But for now we will have lots of videos coming out!
Is there any information available about what software was being used in constructing the 3D models and the renderings?
Maya and Blender were used to create the model while Unreal was used for rendering the footage.

Nothing yet. We hope to eventually have some sort website, AR/VR, or app type experience but we first have to finish the rest of Jerusalem. It is a massive project with the level of detail we are including so it’s just taking time. Glad you enjoyed it! This is Daniel responding by the way.
