This was perfect length and very well explained!!
Thank you, you properly explained what I incorrectly did and what the difference is between all physics types!
Thanks for explaining this
Thanks !
Thank you. I needed this.
Excellent explanation!
Clear and concise, thank you
thank you! Perfectly explained
The best explanation ive seen so far
Thankyou for this informative content. Subed, Liked!

I couldn't figure out how to edit the comment ^^ Just wanted to let you know that this was really helpful. Most resources that I looked at to understand what "kinematic" means in Unity tried to explain it in one sentence which wasn't enough for me to grasp the concept. Thanks for taking the time to make this visual demonstration. The little game example at the end that put together each type of physic was especially helpful.
I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for support!
you probably wont respond but if you do I could finally finish my game. When it comes to 2d my character is kinematic and my box colliders are static yet my character can still go through them.
What should I do?
You need to make your character dynamic for any collider to stop it from moving.
If you still want to use kinematic, you'll have to do your own object detection with ray cast.

@@SmartPenguins thanks!
Love from Pakistan 🇵🇰❤️
how did u move kinematic pls tell meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
change position of transform in unity, for bb you just use Move node it switches to use transform inside it
@@SmartPenguins thank you
