- This tutorial shows you how to make a simple driving game with Buildbox 3.3.9 where you drag your finger side to side to control your car along a curving path. This is part 1 of the series and we go over creating your character, creating your path, and giving the character some movement down the path. Hope you enjoy this video boxers! More to come soon!

Been waiting for Zack to make a comeback, I've been watching him with his school bus project,. A really good one.
Back to the video, can you guys make a simulator type of game like "Tycoon", "Stardew Valley" or some kind of games that can run on the background that still give player coins for upgrade.

We are actually currently workin on setting up an easy way for boxers to create games that have that kind of functionality. i downloaded blender and i had no idea how to do any thing i watch tutorial's but i did't understand any thing but when i watch this video i some how understand every thing wow your a great teacher you NEED TO DO PART 2 your the only one i understand

@@joneti1626 I would go into the Asset Library and grab a bunch of assets in there and I would even get some free ones from the internet and add them as decorations. you could even add enemy cars to make it super duper hard. or maybe sections where it is straight and you just have to avoid cars. I would try to get creative and experiment with different things. :D (Zack)

it's also a little inefficient in a way if you want to just draw a 4 on the softoor kick soft and theres all those empty sequencers on the
Thanks for the video, when I previewed the game there was a fluorescent zig zag pattern on the scene path. It appears when we select Physics. but why it is not coming for you in the video.
ahh you have your preview in "Debug Mode" You need to click the little bug button in the top left corner of the preview window. (Zack)

Hi Zack, Is there the chance on Buildbox to switch from external camera to First Person view cam?I saw that there Is only a camera that can be used and configured.Sorry For my bad english
yes it's possible! You need to use some camera animation nodes. You could even set it up so different buttons will switch your camera view. (Zack)

Also, I don't like idea of coloring again and again. In soft soft mobile, just pick a color and it colors the track, the soft, and the setuper

LOL so this is a beginner tutorial with very basic controls. We are in the process of making more advanced tutorials as well so we may create a more advanced version of this tutorial and make better controls for the car.

I’m new to all of this, so bare with me. At the 2:40 make, are those models the only ones available? Can you edit those to make them different colors, different graphics, etc?
Yes, you can add your own 3D models using those as the base. You can also adjust the colors and other aspects of them as well.
I tried to download a texture of grass but when i put it into the texture and try preview it, it turns black. Its it that buildbox only able to recognize jpg files only?

How to add touch control buttons like left and right if we want our game in android
You want to use UI Buttons inside the node map of the object you want to move and you need control buttons in your UI that the player will see. I can make a tutorial showing you how. (Zack) :)
