bro i been watching u for a little while now maybe 12 months or so im glad u decide to keep fighting this tumor and u didnt take it lieing down . but the one thing i can say god put you on this earth to be a story teller i would love to watch a documentary of you telling the story of the ukraine russia war when its all over i think with your prospective and the way u try to find the truth no matter whos wrong or right u tell us the truth i respect that and im grateful thank you for giving us a little truth everyday . i hope god keeps u here for a long time . we need people like u in this world .
I don't know all the details of your tumor and I'm no doctor, I'm just currently sitting around nursing a broken back and came across this video talking about brain tumors and potential treatment options. The video is a re-release of an older "60 minutes" video talking about breakthroughs in immunotherapy for specific tumors. I'm sure you've done your research and you have great doctors looking out for you but sometimes even doctors can miss an unexplored path. I wish you nothing but best and I appreciate all that you've been doing sharing this content with us. Here's a link to the video I saw. ua-cam.com/video/FEA6BQARqE8/v-deo.html
I'm so glad for you and your mom, my man. My father passed last September from a brain tumor he was diagnosed with in 2018. They gave him six months to live, and he held on for 4 years. That shit is brutal and I'm just glad to hear that your mother's case didn't come out that way. Live well friend
No matter how long you live, I'm grateful to have come across your channel during the very beginning. I'm not sure what meaning is in life, but for me, at each passing day you reveal a bit more of what it is all about. Thank you. Although there are some misfortunes, I hope you have a long happy life.
I went thru having mouth cancer during Christmas with 35 radiations and 3 weeks of kemo. I just was told I'm cancer free. Thank you for what you do and have done! I pray you do not get worse ever.
@@scottbrisson9387 Any time, my Mother is dealing with ovarian cancer right now. It recurs fairly often and she's forced to do cycles of chemo. It makes it so I root for anyone dealing with cancer at this point, and I hope yours is gone for good. Cheers man.
My Dad came down with glioblastoma as a healthy 74 year old last fall. What a devastating illness. What we've come to learn is the treatment is almost as devastating as the illness itself; radiation and chemotherapy, as well as anti-seizure medications, have led to extreme fatigue for poor old Dad not to mention profound depression. As a caretaker it's been a monumental challenge, but it's even harder to imagine what he is going through as the patient. I admire your courage to keep on living.
I know this may appear a juvenile comment but I seriously wish all the best to your clan, cbd could help with the after effects of treatment perhaps, again it may not however if yoir willing to try, research yourself. All the best to you all.
From one veteran to another, stay strong brother. I saw the MRI Selfie and laughed my ass off at the bum humor. No matter the country, universal humor across all armed forces. Stay dangerous brother.
Willy explaining social media to his Doctor is the best thing I have heard on the internet in a while! Good to hear that you received positive news from the scan! We will keep you in our prayers.
Good luck and hope you get better soon. . A friend of mine had brain Tumor that was inoperable and they used meds to shrink it. No more seizures for a few years now and was able to get his commercial drivers license back. They have some great doctors out there.
Dear Willy I am oncologist. Since you told us about yor brain tumor, most of your reports I just do neurological exam first and then listen what you present. Today is the day to chek up my patients. Thanks to God and by my little help most of them doing well. I was so tired and still you made me looked your scan and be happy for good results. Thanks mate for perfect ending of my day.
It's great to hear that your tumour did not grow and is staying quiet. I love the work you do and honesty and authenticity you approach everything with. A fan from Hungary.
Good news my friend! Hang in medicine gets better every year, there may be a break through cure. I know a lot of people are praying for you myself included.
Great to hear. I was told my organ transplants would only last 15 years, that was 31 years ago. Their experience and knowledge may have them right most of the time but sometimes we make them wrong. Best of health to you.
Willy I am so pleased that you have good news on health. Feel for you mate. Your journalistic style is refreshing. I wish you could have a one hour show on SBS daily.
Matt, we know someone out north at Cambrai who runs a Animal Sanctuary.this person has had a brain tumour for the past 20 years and still going strong. We adopted a few animals off her. Went through final experimental treatment and it didn’t work. She went on a cruise as her final trip. That was 10 years ago. Still runs the sanctuary. I am so impressed with your choices and life balance. Many people many have the same illness, but everyone has a different journey and this video gives me confidence that yours will be long and prosperous. Keep punching Willy
Sounds like you've got a great Dr. there Willy. Makes all the difference mentally when dealing with a shit situation. Keep doing what you're doing brother
I hope you can find a way to bounce back and recover from this. I know, a long shot, but still. You deserve a recovery if anyone ever did. That being said, I trust you as a journalist because you don't have an agenda due to your condition. You're not in it for money or fame because you don't know if you'll be around for it, and so you're always honest or objective. We need more honest men like you in this world. I hope your condition improves. You're a shining example to all of us.
I lost a close relative to brain cancer. I don't wish it on my worst enemy. My only concern is that those brain scans could promote cancer, so my advice is that radiation from the scans could promote growth. I realize you want to monitor the cancer, but just be careful. Best of luck!
Just staring inevitable death in the face every day without allowing it to poison your days and nights is a helluva accomplishment. When you think you're about to die it's nearly impossible not to live in terror. You can suppress the existential dread but it always remains in the background. Eventually it goes away - if you survive that long - but it takes a long time. And then you're left with an unhealthy fatalism. Glad you're handling it better than I did.
Great news Willy! It looks like my little brother's cancer has come back with a vengeance! His was looking so good, in remission, no blood work coming back negative, then all at once his neck swelled up, blood clots in neck, chest and armpit. they are building another plan now to fight it again and I am praying for him along with you! Keep the chin up and live life to your fullest! I love ya and keep the vlogs coming!

Man it's just incredible what you do. I'm only 18 days younger than you but you have achieved more than most people will do in a life time. I'm really glad things are stable, you're in my thoughts daily brother. You're such an inspiration, if you wrote a book on your story you'd help 1000s of people I reckon and I'd be first in the queue to buy it.
Stay Strong. My wife was diagnosed with a 6cm brain tumor (not a mistype) in 2020 on Valentine's day. She went into emergency surgery that next morning, and when the Dr opened up her head, he said, "The tumor just popped out". They had to remove a little bit of brain tissue that was still connected. and she had to have 31 stitches. But God was good and she made a complete 100% recovery. She still has to do annual screenings to ensure it does not come back. Obviously every situation is different, but most with a brain tumor that large don't walk away with some effects. I only say this to encourage you to stay strong, you will 100% completely beat this!
Great to here you are well and the tumor has not grown. Nice to be in and from a country that values all it's people with health care, from a Canadian.
What a beautiful picture of your tumor with no changes, now we want to make it shrink and disappear. Those things have happened to others, and you have a lot of us praying for you! At this point, you are like a family member to me! Enjoy yourself!
As much as I enjoy reading your normal posts, this was excellent. I figure it renews my hope of shouting you a beer in the front bar of the Largs one day...
.. when your neuro-surgeon said ' maybe after a few years we can go to yearly ' for your scans .. fantastic .. delighted for you. Hope you can keep up your good works in the future. Respect for staying positive and using your time so well.
I wish you well and hope the tumor stays dormant. I lost a 42-year-old brother to a brain tumor and the way he passed I would not wish it on anyone. Keep positive. Good Luck
Don’t always agree with everything you say but that has always been the norm until lately. You have broadcast some of the best & most informative interviews of the Ukrainian Conflict I have ever watched. Congratulations on the Good News ! You deserve a long, productive, happy & fulfilling life!
You are a brilliant example for everyone Willy; you are so positive and genuine. I have been with you since the start of the Ukraine war, so happy you are ok.
Having positive news is awesome, especially where cancer is concerned. My dad died of pancreatic cancer and it was devastating to see how his life just faded away, his strength, everything that he was just slowly but very perceptibly ebbing away until he was just a sad husk, not even able to engage in things that were his passion, writing and playing his guitar. It was just fortunate that as a family we were able to spend the final weeks of his life in his company and even watch the final of the Shute Shield, celebrating another Sydney Uni win together. Obviously, different cancers require different kinds of approaches even with chemotherapy and the way that the cancer and the treatment affects your body is entirely dependent on the individual themselves. My dad was 59 and he'd been a heavy drinker for much of his life as well as often eating far more than he should have so to be honest him dying due to a metabolic disease, while tragic, was ultimately not that surprising or unexpected. He'd also grown up at a time when liberal spraying of chemicals like DDT was commonplace so throughout his whole life he'd been exposed to known cancer-causing carcinogens. As a much healthier and younger man who having been in the prime of your life at the time of your diagnosis, you have been much better situated for your body to accommodate and respond to this disease. But brain tumours are of course amongst the most aggressive and usually debilitating of cancers so the fact that you have not had to endure the degradation of your mental faculties is remarkable and I'm sure part of your renewed joie de vivre is owing to this factor. It's good to see how you very noticeably and deliberately are taking your life back into your own hands instead of resigning yourself to the inexorable truth that cancer will ultimately claim you, a reality that isn't easy for anyone to accept and often results in depression and despondency. And attitude is so important when it's your own body that is killing you so you're doing yourself a massive service by living again on your own terms and just enjoying every day as it comes. I hope that you get to enjoy enough time yet that you can do the things that you really want to do. Having given so much of your time to service, whilst it is obviously an important part of who you are, make sure that you don't neglect giving time to yourself and to those who are important in your life. Until you are faced with or touched by mortality in your own life, it's hard to appreciate just how fickle and fleeting life is and how little time you actually have to spend with those you love and who love you back. Although I am an adult and was at the time my dad passed, it's only been in the years since that I've realised how much I miss him and how important he was in my life and how there are so many things I wished that I'd talked with him about which I will never have the chance to. I'm sorry for getting morbid so let's finish on a positive. I am glad that I found your channel because the insights and analysis you bring not only as a soldier but as an analyst trying to understand and interpret for us what the available information can tell us about what is actually going on and then as a journalist who is transforming that information into a palatable and comprehensible narrative helps to clarify things that I was not aware of or couldn't make sense of and it has led me to my own understandings regarding not only this conflict but the broader geopolitics that this conflict is a part of. One of the things about knowledge is that while it is impossible to ever know even more than the slightest fraction of what information might be available to be known about anything, every little piece that you can gain that isn't tinged by bias or coloured by deliberate omission or misstatement adds to your own body of knowledge in a way that leads you to and, in some way, demands of you that you broaden and enhance your own perspective, transforming from ignorance and prejudice to understanding and insight. From this position, it is then possible to adequately interrogate what information governments and organisations transmit into the public domain for oneself and then contribute meaningfully to the discourse rather than detracting from it, raising interesting points of discussion and valid criticisms that others can engage with in a constructive way that leads us to new understanding. Your channel has achieved this at least for me and I hope it has a similar effect for others as you are now an important information resource. I hope your platform continues to grow so that you can begin to have a greater impact on the wider communication of these important stories. I also hope that you will be able to remain with us for some time yet. Don't work yourself too hard :) and all the best. You bloody legend.
Professor Thomas Seyfried. On UA-cam. Being in Ketosis keeps All cancers at bay. Metabolic treatment for all of them. Good luck mate we wish you well you are one awesome bloke warmest regards from WA 👌🤩
My mom had a brain tumor and a Turkish Dr who also worked in Bonn, Germany and New York operated on her. They had to take the whole back-top of her skull off to get to the tumor. It's been 3+ years and she's doing well and hasn't had any more issues with the Brain tumor or the breast cancer (which lead to them finding the brain tumor) hope you are able to get it in remission or operated on.... ❤
This made my day mate! I am so pleased that the g.d. tumour has not changed! Your neurologist does sound very nice, which IMHO is quite important & will continue to be a blessing for you.
That is awesome news Willy I am so happy for you!!!!!! Your condition hits home for me as my grandfather and father both died from brain tumors. Keep up the great work and hang tough!!! We love ya bro.....
That's great medical news man. I've had plenty of MRI's and they're a loud claustrophobic experience- I compare it to lying above a poorly running lawnmower with no muffler. Keep riding this out and living your amazing life to it's fullest!
Glad to hear it and cheers mate! I’m glad all is well and your living your life to the fullest. There are billions of people out there that haven’t traveled abroad 4 times in their whole life times and you’ve done that just this year. Keep going mate :) what matters is how you chose to live your life and spend the time you have here not how much time it is
We have been praying for you and we love you as a brother. We all need you at this time in history, so it is possible He agrees with us, and is giving you time to do the work that serves humanity. All of our institutions are corrupt so we need independent journalists to report the truth. "His will be done." and SO GLAD you seem to be doing well.
Thank you for sharing this part of your life so openly. I am glad I found your channel and can follow along with your road ahead from here in Illinois, USA. I enjoy your content and appreciate your perspective on many things. I will keep you in my prayers and hope things will go as well as they possibly can for you!
You're a fighter. You embodied the finnish concept of SISU. SISU means that you never ever give up, no matter the cost. For me, you channel the power of SISU.
Very Best and good to hear your latest results, your daily news is a tonic for many of us with a blast of balance and reality into the fog of most reporting we have re Ukraine. Thankyou
I just backtracked a couple days to see this video and have to say it was the toughest ten minutes to watch since youtube started. Our stories have so many parallels that at it shaking me to the core. Mark, Santa Rosa Beach, Fl.
Great news and thanks for the update. Just a to people who haven't had to deal with cancer. One of the worst aspects of a cancer diagnosis is waiting for results after a test. It's never immediate, and the wait is horrible if you let you imagination run wild.
Hey Matt, thought this would be the best video to post this on, but my friend had a brain tumour not too dissimilar to yours that ended up starving itself and killed itself, strange wonderful things can happen! wish you the best!
That's excellent news Willy, my mother went through it and she's been with us for 14 year's and counting. I'm positive that you're going to get better despite the odds, medical science is always breaking new ground and technology is advancing everyday and rapidly with A.I so who knows what might happen? Anyway mate, live everyday like it's your last 🤙 (bit of dark humour for ya)
Glad your improving fantastic news. I had a brain scan 10 years ago and was told they found nothing .. I asked again and said we found nothing then they finally got what what they had said. Gotta keep your spirits up be well laugh and enjoy your life
Great to hear that there has been no progression. You are living life really well. No surgery no impact was a really good result. Good energy your way Legend!

Jheez couldn’t imagine living with a brain tumour, you’re one strong f*cker Willy! you give me strength just watching you
1:55 Thanks for explaining the OAM and confirmation of the bit of cheekiness with the Willy OAM moniker…
You are a brilliant example for everyone Willy; you are so positive and genuine. I have been with you since the start of the Ukraine war, so happy you are ok.
Wonderful news, keep being positive, you are an inspiration for people who get negative news about their health
Good. Here’s to hoping it just decides to buggers off at some point, I’d love to see what you can do without anything clogging the bandwidth!
Good news Willy. Stay strong and well Mate.
Great news Willy! Love what you’re doing!
Good news! My Grandfather had a brain tumor the size of a golf ball. One day it just stopped growing. Hoping for continued good news. Fight on Mate.
Thanks for the update man. It's very kind, generous and brave of you to allow us into such a personal part of your life.
Great to hear your positive results, Matthew. Love your work, mate!
Every year you survive something like this is another year of progress around research and better treatments! Keep surprising us!
Hang tight willy. We love you brother.
Love and prayers from Detroit USA
Prayers going up for you. Thanks, David
Congrats on the results 🎉🎉 glad you can continue your amazing work and live your life
My mom had a brain tumor and a Turkish Dr who also worked in Bonn, Germany and New York operated on her.
Great to hear that you’re doing somewhat alright. Whatever happens brother we love you and we stand behind you whatever happens. Be safe bro 🤝🏼
Mate that is fantastic news. You are a big part of the reason that I am studying mental health now. A brave man beyond many. Cheers .. all the best
Glad to hear the good news! Thank you for doing what you do man! You got people literally all over the world that care for you man and that’s special!
I’m so happy to hear the good news. You’re a legend, God’s apparently got more work for you to do here!!!
That is awesome news Willy I am so happy for you!!!!!! Your condition hits home for me as my grandfather and father both died from brain tumors. Keep up the great work and hang tough!!! We love ya bro.....
Glad to hear that news Willie.
We need more good buggers like you with us as long as possible
That's great medical news man. I've had plenty of MRI's and they're a loud claustrophobic experience- I compare it to lying above a poorly running lawnmower with no muffler.
Keep riding this out and living your amazing life to it's fullest!
So glad this tumour is static for the time being. Praying it remains that way.❤❤
Glad to hear it and cheers mate! I’m glad all is well and your living your life to the fullest. There are billions of people out there that haven’t traveled abroad 4 times in their whole life times and you’ve done that just this year. Keep going mate :) what matters is how you chose to live your life and spend the time you have here not how much time it is
I never knew that. Praise the Lord for positive results. I will keep you in prayer Willy.
Stay healthy legend!
Bless you, brother; so glad to share the news. Keep after yourself, as best you can.
Very Best and good to hear your latest results, your daily news is a tonic for many of us with a blast of balance and reality into the fog of most reporting we have re Ukraine. Thankyou
Very good news!! I wish it stays still like that for many years.
All these prayers help Matey.
Keep this positivity happening buddy. Always New medical procedures and treatments forthcoming.
Hey Matt great news about your tumor. So glad it hasn't progressed. I'll keep you in my prayers Mate. Best wishes from America.
Hey Matt, thought this would be the best video to post this on, but my friend had a brain tumour not too dissimilar to yours that ended up starving itself and killed itself, strange wonderful things can happen! wish you the best!
Enjoy your break dude. Good news about your noggin. I'm sure Rob is happy to know he can now get you back for up to 6 months 😅 he misses his friend
Glad to hear Willy. God Bless.
great to hear some good news for once Willy. love your work.
Willy you keep fighting man you are a treasure, start a family so that legacy can be carried on you deserve that man.
Thanks!
A friend had a tumour which Charlie Teo operated on last year. Going good now. My prays with you.
Very happy for you Willy. I hope to keep watching your reporting. Much respect, appreciation and love brother.
