    I love how Jeselnik always keeps a straight emotionless face XD I'm a massive fan of offensive comedy. It's very much a European sort of humour, and few American comedians can pull it off. But this guy is the master, rivaling even the English!

    • @rueisblue
      @rueisblue 7 років тому +7

      Kristian Brandt there's a whole little sub culture here in the states to comedy like his.

    • @kristianbrandt3012
      @kristianbrandt3012 7 років тому +16

      Yeah but Jeselnik is the only Yank that can match the European provocateurs. The US is just too PC to produce offensive comedy. Which is ironic because it's one of the most intolorant nation in the western world.
      There's also a big difference in humour, over here on our side of the Atlantic personal misery and self reflection is a big factor. Here I'll give you an example. A man sits on a chair on a stage. Another man sneaks up behind the first man, and wacks him unconcious with a guitar.
      9 times out of 10 the American comedian will be the man with the guitar, while the European comedian, in GB and Scandinavia in particular, will sit in the chair. It's like in the office, the English version, where the fun element is how pathetic and dull all the actors seem.
      I'm not saying one is better than the other, and anyway this is entirely subjective, I'm just trying to illustrate the difference :)

    Nothing, absolutely nothing, should be off limits when it comes to comedy. Almost all jokes are offensive to somebody. People only get pissed off when the joke is personal to them, yet have no problem laughing at jokes that are offensive to others. Once you start putting limits on it, there is no end.

    • @GrowMasterGeneral
      @GrowMasterGeneral 9 років тому +6

      Immolation Suffocation I guess it's funny if you're racist. Even racist jokes shouldn't be off limits though. It just means you probably won't be able to perform any where besides the deep south. A comedian can tell racists jokes without being racist (Anthony does this a lot). It is understood from context that the joke is purely a joke. Especially if that comedian tells racist jokes about his/her own race. However, "niggermania" is not a cite that is merely joking. It is understood from context that they are racist. So the point is, nothing should be off limits, just realize that if you want to tell racist jokes, it should be understood from context wether you're just joking or being racist.

      don't lie. you are not from nz. the show isn't even shown in nz - jeselnik says so himself. this shark party clip has been banned by the bsa's throughout oceania. jeselniks sick "jokes" do not appeal to nz humour at all.

      I'm from Matamata. Everyone I know DOES think he's funny and the general consensus I get through social media is that people here crack his kind of jokes and share his kind of memes all the time. His show IS shown in NZ, (You Tube and Netflix). In particular myself and people I know also support sharks, and the idea that when someone ventures into shark territory and gets eaten it's a win for their species.

    • @superkiwistar
      @superkiwistar 7 років тому

      you have to be a complete idiot. this episode is banned from broadcast in nz, due to failure to comply with reasonable broadcasting standards. netflix is new to nz, having been accessible for a year, and with an overly ambitious target of reaching 10% of broadband connected homes eventually. in general, if you survey people on the street, you will find nobody watches it. adam strange was a conservationist who loved sharks, and was loved by his family and friends. he did not deserve to die. he leaves behind a grieving widow and young daughter. sharks frequent the entire ocean. to expect people to avoid beaches in summertime is insane. you, and your friends, lacking empathy, fit the profile of psychopaths. you are 1% of the general population, and 30% of the prison population. you do not represent nz, or nz humour.

    • @superkiwistar
      @superkiwistar 7 років тому

      and as for shark party clips you may have seen on youtube - they have been stolen by idiots, from the rightful owner, comedy central, who have withdrawn the shark party clip worldwide. they also sacked jeselnik for making this stupid clip. and for your information, sharks are just fish - like any other - prepared to eat other sharks, and even its own young. what do you think you eat when you order fish & chips? duh. but, each shark eats a lot of intelligent life - such as dolphins, sea lions, octopus, squid, penguins, whales - each of which are more self aware, cute and compassionate than sharks.

      +Curious Orange he can't because: 1. he doesn't know how to make jokes; and 2. he was sacked after demonstrating psychopathy in the clip above, which had to be withdrawn worldwide by network bosses. you'll have to settle with the flight of the conchords reruns, or move to australia.

      ***** jeselnik and his psychopathic supporters, including you, are morons. he lost his job because jailbirds remain a minority. removing jeselniks soapbox is a victory for society.

      +Jenna Benna really? who? was it you? or was it patrick? you really should be more careful. sharks are wild creatures and should be respected. but this issue is more about jesselnik laughing at the death of a real person. it's like laughing at a funeral - completely inappropriate.

    Wow, that was a very good way to do a 'blurb' or w/e the fuck its called. He started with something relevant to shark week, introduced elements of his comedy, showed concern for family members and that he's 'edgy' and then used it that entire bit to do a blurb without 'doing a blurb'.
    Nicely done, you have my condolences for the deaths of your mam and pap.
