They don’t care about the hardcore fans. If you leave they don’t care cause they make more money on everyone else. They aren’t shocked at all. It’s by design.
You’re confusing the actual player base with people who yap online. There’s a reason they have kept sbmm this long, the majority of the player base MUST like it. Unfortunately the core fan base gets the short end of the stick
The thing I hate the most about SBMM is that I can’t play with my friends who aren’t massive on shooters. The lobbies are literally too sweaty for them to even compete..
I can't play with my friends that play shooters consistently its a joke. They are all playing cod, saying oh man it's fun this is great, get into my lobbies, yo bro wtf is this, are these kids cheating. This is wack. Lol it's insane.
yup this is exactly why me and my friends aren’t buying cod anymore, me and my friends sbmm is too sweaty for our other friends since they haven’t played cod as much as we have, so they play like two games and get destroyed and me and my other friend are sweating our asses off just to break 20 kills, shits just not fun anymore.
I can’t play with my friend without making his experience a complete disgrace. This shit has to change, just make ranked and public lobbies which work on ping only. Right now all we got is sweaty games populated with people from different countries and all this mean is a frustrating laggy ass experience.
@@fullypinnedfilms2910 for sure man. I played Cold War the other day with my buddy who wanted to play it and though it wouldn’t be so bad now, I was wrong! Going like 45-36 is a good game 😂
Yea man it was somewhat still containable the last few years but I’m telling you the sbmm this year is absolutely next level insane, game is unplayable bro I’m done with cod I just can’t do it anymore
I havent had a single game where I could chill and have a good time, they gotta understand this inst fun for anyone but the cronus users. Games are just sweat fests filled with douches.
Been playing CoD for 14 years now and its honestly crazy how hard I have to try every game to avoid being blown away. Every game reminds me of Master league BO2 league play. I miss the days where we could fool around with different setups, play with friends of various skill levels and just have fun. The mechanics of the game are actually quite good but Activision have really killed the enjoyment aspect of CoD
It really does feel like that, I took a step back in a game the other day and actually realised how sweaty this really is. It’s casual and I’m playing all 2KD players who are sweating out of their mind… I just want to chill, it’s not my fault I’m good at the game.
I’ve been a cod player since CoD2, I remember casually coming home from school, hoping on CoD4 or MW2 back in high school and enjoying every match (even the ones that made me rage). I feel like there is no such thing as a casual game anymore. If you’re not trying your hardest in every game then you just get demolished. I used to be decent at CoD when I was younger and would never consider myself good anymore, but when I get home from work I feel like I can’t even relax and play any CoD anymore because I have to try so hard. It’s hard to tell if it’s the game, the SBMM, everyone trying to become a pro gamer, or a mix of it all. Honestly, it’s kinda sad
just to clarify, i'm not trying to be mean, at all. i get it even, it's hard to let go and easy to get your hopes up every year, but this has been going on for multiple years now. there's no way they'll ever change if you keep buying.
I feel like the worst thing for me has been what feels like rigged gunfights. I've played cod since the early days like many of you so I'm well aware of when I'm playing like ass (missing shots) and when the gunfights just aren't making sense. Most of my games have been full of moments where I'm dumping half a clip just to get shot by in what feels like 2 bullets and die. The worst part is I'm seeing very clearly in the killcam that my shots hit first and then all of a sudden all my bullets are flying right at the enemy but doing no damage... Also, I'm noticing my enemies are having some ridiculous lock on aim assist even at range in some lobbies while my aim assist is pretty much non existent even though I know how to take full control of rotational aim assist. I'm aware this just sounds like a cope but I know well enough when shit isn't adding up.
That doesn’t sound like a cope because that is exactly what me and my friends are experiencing. Also there are countless reddit threads about this issue.
Same thing here brotha. Its crazt because i use to easily drop 30 to 40 kills. On cold war, Bo3, Bo2. original mw2, 2019 mw. But this game is like just “nah, no kills for you”
Happening the same here man, its been all games along with me just throwing a hole clip on enemies and then get killed by 3-4 bullets from them or i got them down by a 1 heath and die...
@@LoveJattt hell yea, bf1 is one of the greatest fps games of all time hands down. you can ALWAYS count on some good times playing bf1. good stuff man.

@@_YourFlyIsOpen agreed, the last of the greats in bf history. 2042 has made a comeback, and honestly its pretty fun now, but its still nowhere NEAR the level of bf3, 4, and 1
I think they will fix it. Just gonna take some time. They haven't even actually taken over the franchise yet. They get publishing control either next year or the year after, so I wouldn't expect any meaningful design changes until 2025 at the earliest. That's supposed to be Infinity Ward's next turn, so we'll see if they play ball, or if they're even allowed to make another game.
remember in older cods like BO2 where new players had access to a dedicated "new player" playlist with bots and other new players until a certain rank?
As a sub average player I can confirm that the new, bad players are hurt the worst by this. Sure, you get bliss for your first (few) matches, but all too soon that hyper aggressive algorithm punishes you for your progress, pitting you against players that are just better, resulting in you getting curb stomped match after match. It’s exhausting. I stopped playing multiplier games like this after a while because it was just so exhausting. I can’t keep up.
What is even crazier about this is the fact that most of the progression in MWIII is tied to wins now. So not only do you get punished for doing well, you are now going to get punished for progressing "too fast". XDefiant cannot come soon enough.
X Defiant isn't gonna last. I just have that feeling. It's not enough of a COD clone to have that kind of impact. Maybe if it had streaks, but people are just gonna get bored of it pretty quickly if all they can do is shoot to earn kills. Streaks are what made COD so popular and addictive for so long.
Also, there's apparently a workaround to the progression in MWIII. Since zombies is built around DMZ, you can go in there solo, loot whatever you want, and exfil. You then unlock the item for multiplayer immediately because of the cross progression.
@@BoricuaBoy88 I think XDefiant has plenty of potential to last, especially since it's tied into the Ubisoft Universe, there is a ton of potential for a ton of events, whether or not that will happen is up to speculation. But I know for a fact I will at the very least play a lot of it when it drops.
The game is still fun I can't lie. Honestly, you can just do bad for a couple matches until SBMM goes down LOL. I know that's so dumb to suggest, but hey it works.
@@Sir_BiscuitsThe moment I properly thought about the experience I was having was when I completely lost interest in modern CoD. I'd rather play an actual game than be played by some algorithm that purposefully gives me an easy match to keep me playing.
When it matched you with those people from Europe, it wasn’t looking at “skills”, it was looking at ping. But since you still won that game, it decided its next option was to blacklist your team from getting random teammates. It doesn’t want to give you a good match, it just wants you to lose. That is not “SBMM” or “EBMM” and it does not help any new player by being this way. It is simply made to harm decent to good players’ stats and games. Maybe we should just call it Malicious Based Matchmaking or something else, because all this system wants to do is cause harm to players
They score you by several factors like latency, team composition, and skill level. They take your dynamic score and try to match you with people with similar scores. If they can’t find anyone they check farther away at a higher latency until they do. There is supposed to be a time limit that lowers your score the longer you wait so that you can be matched without waiting all day but I think it failed for Nero and they just kept raising the latency until they found another group of players with matching scores… which happened to be In Ireland it seems. I’d imagine it’s harder to do with a party and much easier to find matches for someone playing solo.
There are 5 shitty players for every 1 good player. They are sacrificing the experience of the few for the many. It's just math and they're greedy bastards.
I knew skill based lag was a thing. The game will stutter whenever I aim at an enemy, letting them kill me. Or how I hit my shots first but they still get the kill. It’s not fair
I experienced this in the beta as well. I also think some players have "stronger" aim assist while sometimes you won't get any at all when you aim at them. I would watch some of the kill cams and they would hip fire 3 bullet headshot me at AR distance, when my guns felt like sponges.
I thank the lord every day that I was fortunate enough to have played BO2 in its prime on 360. The golden days are truly gone and cod will never be what it was, if you’re like me, just be thankful you got to experience the peak because I doubt we’ll ever see it again 😢
i dont remember the last time i could just play a match without feeling drained after. i cant even have random small talks with friends in my party because we either all focus and communicate gameplay tactics or we lose.
Sbmm + New Zealand servers was probably the most rage inducing experience I’ve ever had in a COD game. It was actually horrendous (not like it’s much better now though).
I’ve said it for years that it’s not just skill based matchmaking I think it’s also skill based lag compensation. They slow you down cause you’re good. They do it by directly slowing you down or they throw you into servers across the world like they did to you.
@@zoanth4 I wouldn’t put it past them to do that at all. I’ve played COD since finest hour and I’ve noticed the SBLC I was referring to over the years. I even asked a dev directly during a live stream they were doing. Of course they denied it because they don’t call it the same thing we do.
I wonder if theirs anyone smart enough to analyze the live data the server has to relay so we can have visual undeniable proof the 1s and 0s are being manipulated against their true values.
@@callenroeder3784 there is a youtuber who analyzes the net code. If I remember his name I’ll let you know Found it. “battle(non)sense” But no videos in 9 months
Pretty tough on Day 1, having default classes against people who had time to get their Loadouts built. Once I got my settings right and my aim dialed in for this game, and could snap on to targets pretty reliably.. The lobbies started getting laggier and the enemies were jump shotting everywhere. Probably my last CoD as I’m getting older and losing my reflexes, so the SBMM is the nail in the coffin for my casual career lol.
I’m 35 and the last cod I bought was World War II it was over for me as soon as Fortnite came on the scene impossible for me to build the time call of duty has a lot of people sliding on their knees while turning and shooting I couldn’t get this type of game play and now I pretty much play Skyrim and Zelda
In MWII I would always play at peak hours in EST. This wasn't at the tail end of the game's life, this was right after the game came out. With crossplay we're talking maybe *millions* of concurrent players. But I couldn't ever get a low ping lobby and my teammates were always speaking Spanish.
I gave in and bought it, played 6 games, had the sweatiest lobbies ever with terrible connection 90+ Ms ping(I live near Boston, MA). I had ZERO fun in all 6 games, as they clearly took my SBMM profile from MW2. I then requested a refund. SO glad I did not break 2 hours and got my money back. Until this garbage is fixed, they are not getting another cent. I refuse to pay to be mistreated.
This crazy SBMM seems to be an industry norm now, Apex recently vamped up their matchmaking and the game is noticeably less enjoyable. I heard R6S did something similar to their ranked system as well. It might be worth to do some research on any recent new academic studies/publishings on SBMM, b/c the consensus across the industry deem it rational to implement such SBMM, as it is conducive to profit maximization. It's not just business, they got economists, statisticians, psychologists, game theorists, etc. to concoct such a vile system, and there is absolutely nothing we can do about it besides not spend money, yet the CoD community will disappoint me as usual, we all know that's not going to happen.
First of all. R6 is RANKED so yes obviously you’ll be matched against people similar to your skill level as it should. Normal games shouldn’t. R6 casual is a joke lol. Casual cod lobbies should be the same. This completely kills the game
But what they don't have is passion. A thousand analysts and datacucks will not be able to tell you the same thing as one passionate gamer who's been there for decades. Muh experts are brought on board for everything, yet they produce flop after flop. BF2042 sure had a lot of those people telling them what's what, and it failed miserably.
Don't be fooled by the Numbers. They get new players every year to make up for what they're losing. They boost their ego with EOMM and get them to buy skins. Until they get good at the game and can't enjoy it anymore. Then the cycle begins again. They have no loyal fan base. They killed it. For money.
Wait until you realize this goes much deeper than profit motives. You will not own your in-game experience. You will own nothing and you will be happy.
Why you acting like you're surprised nero? Lol you all knew this would happen. Edit: I totally get that you have to get this game and play bc its your livelihood and that IS your channel. Just don't act like this was a surprise in anyway shape or form
They should let you see when you are playing against a party. They did this in black ops 3 and 4. When I see a party or play against a party I just leave. Now I can’t even tell if they are in a party or not. It’s super annoying and frustrating as a solo player.
That was definitely on purpose. They know people will leave if they know they're going against a party so they just don't let you see. I'm surprised they haven't gotten rid of clan tags because if we see (there are two of us that play together) a party of 5 people with the same clan tag, we leave. The coordination these dudes have is annoying to play against, they all designate roles and lock down the map and you can't move.
@@jamie8037 You'd be surprised. They were smart enough to come up with this complicated ass SBMM system. Thing is, they aren't dumb, they're just greedy. They know exactly what we want, they just want to sell it to us.

This is why I haven't bought cod this year. As good as they make the core gameplay it's too frustrating having the rest of the game be ruined due to connection. it's like if you're good you have maybe 30 minutes of fun after that your connection goes out the windows and you're playing at a disadvantage
I swear these lobbies have been so sweaty and tough, normally I'm doing pretty well in most lobbies and get streaks during matches. But this cod I swear I'm getting put into lobbies where I'm struggling to compete against these CDL sweats
Really messed up when you buy a game that implements a system in which instead of happening upon a loss, the game forces you in situations to make you lose.
I noticed it will sometimes fill me with lesser skilled team mates where I'll be mowing down the enemy, yet we still lose because 1 or 2 people on my team went 2 and 20 for Kill-Deaths.
I never once thought about sbmm back in black ops 1 I always knew the matchmaking was random. Because you see it being a random searching matchmaking. You can also tell by how fast you join a lobby that a cod game from 10 years ago I could literally load up join a lobby before you even get pass the loading screen.
@@KyphraFunny how everyone who says this a new age cod player. Back before mw2019 every lobby was filled with all kinds of different skill levels and everyone being on the same ping now the game is everyone is the exact same skill while your being matched with people across the ocean.

I don’t ever plan on buying cod (or playing it really) again but watching the most dedicated cod loyalists rip into it amuses me. I also like the idea that sbmm gets so intense that they’ll just stop you from playing.
Back in MW2019, I would swear that the SBMM system could affect your ping in real-time. I occasionally play a match and start doing really good and then my connection goes to hell IN THE MATCH. All of a sudden, I'm shooting players and they're walking through my shots and one-hitting me SBMM, folks.
Yes!!!! Just this morning I’m rolling with killstreaks and then all of a sudden my bullets are rubber and I’m getting insta melted. So frustrating. Welcome to socialism in a video game.
The problem is: Actually there is no SBMM. There is RPBMM. (Recent Performance Based Match Making) Your Recent games and performance determines your further games. Just act like bot for 5 games and watch how easy your sixth game. Vice versa if you did good 5 games, your further games starts nerfing your movement in every way. Game won't register your hits. There is a shorts video on my channel about that hitreg issue if anyone wants to check it.

Eventually match making started slowing down until it just stopped finding matches. Then when we finally got in matches everyone was foreign. Crazy for a Friday night on release.
It’s not just the sweaty lobbies is the reason why I have skill based matchmaking it’s whenever I do terrible in a match and do incredible the next I know I haven’t improved it’s just the game giving me easier lobbies and it makes it so unrewarding
The mid game value changes is what killed it for me. One second im dropping someone in 3 to 2 shots the next im dumping half a mag on them. I just had to uninstall after that.
it’s a bit tinfoil hat, but i feel like they’re messing with your aim too. one game i’m playing fine, the next i can’t hit the broad side of a barn. same sensitivity in game, and on the mouse. just little lab rats being manipulated the way the algorithm wants. no thanks.
That's not in the game & not at all talked about in this video. That's not something that happens, as proof look at streamers consistently playing well. The game doesn't mess with the values like that, I don't ever feel cheated. If I did I'd agree, but that's just a theory not anything real. Akin to back in the day people saying quickscopers must be cheating.
@msandonato23 not tinfoil hat at all, they literally have a patent for it. they buff and nerf player mid match and break aim assist and hit reg depending on how well you are doing/how long youve been playing. i refunded this shit SOOOO fast.
I've never felt such rage & hopeless despair playing a video game. No lobby is normal anymore. Cheaters on crossplay, high ping & smaller player pool for console. Why does it have to be like this?.....
Capitalism lol the gaming industry is horrible right now because these companies compromise a fun and fair experience for a profit. My 3rd year straight not buying COD, it sucks but I refuse to waste more money, time and energy. I’m holding out hope for XDefiant. Meanwhile I’m playing Minecraft 😂
“We don’t want to discourage people and have them quit” Well great they literally created a such rage inducing system that causes the core players to either quit or never start
already happened to me in MW2 (Vanguard 1.15 to exactly 1 in MW2) and i'm afraid of playing multiplayer... so far i only played zombies. Maybe it is time to get shared my brothers MW3 PS version to smurf into blind lobbies with a washed account to have fun again
Your comments at 8:54 are true!!! In the old days you always felt like you were somewhat improving at the game because of how random the matchmaker felt with other players skills. Today in sbmm it just feels like the game is trying it’s damn hardest to make everyone go 10/10 with a 50% wr… You never feel like you’re getting better anymore because you’re constantly getting uptiered into higher skill matches
Exactly why I have faded away from the game. I was pretty happy grinding over the years to go from a 0.5kd to a 3.0 kd because I felt like I was progressing.. Rightfully so. But now. I mean what's the point.. Every match feels the same... Lobbies disband, there is no community. Only I have a family now and can maybe play 5 hours a week... So I'm still good enough to get good matches but them I'm immediately put in with folks spending all day...

Completely agreed! But when you ask a person who doesn't know/play video games "hey what do you think about making people play against people of equal skill?" they are like "yeah sounds good" and that's where the thinking ends....aka foolishness.
I feel you. I want to love this game but feel like I’m competing for like the World Series of anything. Every time I play now I don’t wanna always have to compete at a super high level. I just wanna play.
SBMM just forces you to try hard every game or just get rolled. you go from casually playing and doing pretty well in your first few games to slowly getting more and more sweaty yourself just so you don't get stomped as the enemies get better. but the more you try hard to not get stomped the more it ramps up requiring you to sweat more, until you have to try your absolute best every game. if you start going on a loss streak you then slowly go back down until the cycle starts again. so either you play at peak performance 100% of the time or you just yo-yo between getting stomped and climbing up to the point of getting stomped.
@@blackwarrior1897 it pretty much exists in all COD games that SBMM was heavily prioritised, which is pretty much all of them for a good amount of years (can't actually recall where I personally felt it started) and honestly, how much it influences you depends on how much you resist it. if you start doing worse but continue to play at the same level, it doesn't feel too bad because your "skill" is evaluated to be roughly there so the SBMM starts to plateau and you sit with doing good some games bad some others. but the majority of people that get to high MMR are people who hate to lose, like a lot, so when faced with something above their casual level, they will ramp up their effort to make sure they don't lose, which then increases the lobby difficulty to which they raise again ect ect. It just becomes a loop until the player is 100% every game. This is also why SBMM affects the high MMR players the most as those less bothered kinda just accept the swingy nature of playing.
@odysseyoftroy1222 holy crap. Then why tf did all the COD games of the past feel better than what's going on now??? Why is it that either with MWII or MWIII it feels like hell, but games like BO3, BO2, AW, IW, and so many other COD classics felt ok to play and actually fun? Were we blinded by somethin or were those games crap too?
@@blackwarrior1897 just to clarify SBMM has existed in all COD games its just a matter of what degree. there has always been something that attempts to make the teams be close in skill, it's just in older games that mattered less than finding a game as fast as possible. there is also the difference between making sure that the teams are relatively equal vs every player in the lobby being equal. AW actually did have quite a strong SBMM system, but AW is remembered as quite a bad COD by most of the community. BO3 started without a heavy SBMM, but it was later added. however in the case of BO3 it was hated so badly that the match making was reverted in several hours. I think why older COD is remembered well depends on the individual and it's really hard to identify all the factors.
I’m starting to think they do this not to match you with equal skill, but to ensure that your group finally loses for EOMM, and the algorithm finally succeeded by stacking the ping against your group so hard that even bots could wreck you.
@@lalter_ yeah but the fact that it would go to the lengths of not trying so hard to find players that will beat you, but just blatantly handicapping you from ping only. Extra sleazy
We need public gameroom lan lobbies to have fun on games these days. Someone pitch that on shark tank lol. I really don’t mind losing fair and square but there’s something so rage inducing about dying in one frame and you know the game is screwing with your lag compensation to make sure you lose a gunfight. Literally zero fun knows the game is rigged.
What's crazy is that Activision and all the other big businesses that run call of duty still refuse to even acknowledge that SBMM even exists in their games, even when asked in person about it they completely avoid the topic like we don't know what we're talking about, and it will probably never change because of how greedy the cod industry has gotten for money.
Wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t even tell their employees, or more likely they were told to say that they didn’t have SBMM or they would be fired.

I love that you brought up playing better players to get better. I remember getting into halo 2 and 3. Getting crapped on. Hating it. Grinding, getting better. Watching players better than me, to just get better. Then the same happened with cod 4 and mw2, so on. Eventually got into tournaments and stuff. Just genuinely trying to get better. If experienced players cant sit back with music on, instead having to sit up game on full blast, it's exhausting. It's not noob hating. But I remember the days of going on a 100 win streak in cod 4 and literally just having the best time with the boys. We can't do that anymore. We can't joke while playing. We have to scream call outs and try not to rage. It's okay to play against "a bunch of me's" every so often. But every single game.. Is simply trash. I'm a dad with a career now. Because I'm decent and only get to play an hour or 2 a day, I'm basically getting punished lol. I pray they fix it but we're what. 5 games now with sbmm? It sucks to say the good ol days are gone. They finally made a good cod. But who knew, sbmm makes it exhausting to play.
i remember in mw 2019 our friend group that wanted to play the game was like 4 or 5 people 2 of which didn't like playing with me because of "my lobbies" and the others just got burnt out playing it. i would literally sit in the same party while they played ground war since it had little to no SBMM, whilst i played dom 6v6. Dont even get me started on playing as a solo and what ive heard been dubbed as Baby sitting matchmaking where they force you to be the carry for a team of players with there heads on backwards and playing on a theater screen.
Pretty much a perfect representation of exactly how this matchmaking works. Do too well? Get punished. There's really no denying it now, glad you captured it for the world to see.
I just played a match of Hardcore TDM on Underpass where I went 3 and 20 and at one point spawned and died immediately to a killstreak 7 times in a row . All because I had a 3+ KD in the previous match WTF
Something that's super frustrating that I haven't seen anybody talk about is progression. Why do I level up weapons to earn the ability to slot an attachment to daily quests of which i only get 3 per day to unlock? I already think tieing weapons and attachments to levels is outdated and they keep trying to layer it. BO1 had the best system.
Okay.. but the entire point of this video is that they make it harder and harder to win a game. It's rigged. I got my daily challenges done in 2 games, which I murdered. Then I went 10 games straight sweat fest lobbies and lost EVERY SINGLE GAME when it came time to earn more "points"@@mmmm69420
@mmmm69420 except the algorithm seems to give you more defeats than victories.... I'm put into lobbies on downward spirals, players who camp every corner and a team that is snowballing... I get a victory every 10-11 defeats; it's absolutely wild.
Probably the main reason I dropped this game and went to Overwatch was because I have a way to know I’m improving as a player. Ranked is the big time game mode in Overwatch. It’s blatantly obvious if you are improving because you are ranking up. Even in Quickplay you can still tell. People are rocking titles that show off their rank from last season or you can check their profile to see. Connection quality is consistently far higher in Overwatch too. CoD doesn’t have that feeling of improvement and the connections are trash. I just can’t anymore
Fr man seems like the majority of matches I join are in progress. I would expect that for a game at the end of its life cycle but this ridiculous. Destiny 2 does that a lot too and it’s horrible
That's insane that the game thinks you are so good that it doesn't want to put you into a lobby for the game mode you want to play. how do they even justify that
To protest cod this year, everyone should buy War of Rights, the civil war first person shooter. Youll have 10x more fun, and everyone talks on mic. Also, the game doesnt have a censor option ;)
I miss the days when you would get a good lobby and the lobby would actually STAY TOGETHER after the round was over. I used to love getting a chance to win again if I lost a close game, but they disband the whole lobby after each match. So stupid.
😂😂😂 I stopped playing the modern cods but it’s crazy how i get teammates that play more than me or are a higher level and still do worse as me and the enemies are better than me or just as good so it’s a automatic loss for me
Yes! That's what SBMM does. Makes you feel like you have to play your best setup all the time. No having fun with different setups because you will legit be STOMPED by people using their best setup. This is how it is in Overwatch too.
So you can use a non-meta setup and the game will put you against players at the skill level you are with that setup. Why does every anti-sbmm argument come down to wanting to win without trying lmao.

This is probably the best SBMM video to exist. So much proof, it sucks. Ping will always be king and I miss the OG SBMM where you never went over 60-70 ping matches even if you were shredding
I'm in Japan and I would constantly get put in lobbies with Mexicans and Germans. (Not sure how they picked those countries) I've had this problem since BO2 when I was back in the US. The last game I played beyond the beta was WWII and people were phasing around the map and just shooting me in the back. And there were plenty of Japanese/East Asian players in the HQ and I was able to have good matches in the 1v1 pit.
Multiplayer got unplayable after like 2 hours for me. I was fighting top 250 diamond ranks , and people dropping bikes on us while grinding sniper camos..
The kill delays have been brutal. Enemies kill you effortlessly and the kill cam shows you didn't even try. Even tho we have 7 Ping the lowest in the lobby!
We need dedicated servers and go back to the old days when the person that had the best internet would become the host. This shit is out of control on MWIII. I've always had a 2.5 KD or higher. I'm getting crucified by the hit detection. Who the hell wants to play when you can't even win games?!?! If you're good at the game you will get punished. When I'm shooting someone right in their head with a minimum of 4 hit markers and then my reticle moves to the left or right and the opposing person kills me with 3 body shots then something has to give 🤷. I have tried to convince myself that SBMM doesn't exist, but I see it clear as day.
Feels it’s been enhanced even in mw2 after the update After I go ham and crack a long multi kill I immediately start lagging or having people spawn behind me The top guy in free for all actually spawned in front of me back to back Gave me the kill on him If I am at 16 kills first place and the 2nd place is 4-6 - guaranteed I’m gonna lag bad, be spawned away from everyone and see no one or have back to back people spawn directly behind me It’s all nonsense A truly fair system would be a static system and it’s up to the player to either do good or bad Chess doesn’t change based on skill But they don’t want a set system that’s fair They want equity, outcome - not a fair system
Really cool to see my name pop up on your video, I was Tweak! SBMM has been insane the past couple of days and it's just going to get even crazier. Good games by the way and it's really unfortunate you guys where playing a 4v6 the first couple of minutes of the match.
We also got put into American lobbies and we are from Europe! The SBMM is just on another level this year.. I didn't think it was possible to crank it up more
i think that they need a system where your first 15 matches are casual games where you only face players your level which would help new players then after that no sbmm and be able to rematch and shit talk other teams that’s when cod used to be fun
Overall, the game itself feels good! But man, the first few games felt great, but once I started winning and playing well, SBMM kicked it into high gear😂 My brother was playing really well for a few games, then all of sudden he would get demolished and our ping was getting worse and worse. Definitely similar to you and your friends experience Nero. It’s almost comical
For anyone who still says 'skill issue' against those speaking against SBMM after watching this video. I'm sorry, but you're beyond saving. I think now is the time that youtubers and other influencers stick together and boycott Demonware and Activision. This match making is manipulative and predatory. Modern gaming publishers have destroyed developments of AAA titles for greed far too much
Yep completely agree on the bot stuff. There's a game called naraka bladepoint which is a melee focused battle Royale and with a high skill ceiling but for awhile most of your lobbies are gonna be AI mainly. It's the reason I dropped it even though I really really enjoyed practicing and learning all of what the game had to offer but I couldn't tell if I was getting better.
Dedicated SnD player here. This started happening to me today too lol. Que ping kept going to >150. Kept restarting the search and it would start at 100.

That's supposed to be Infinity Ward's next turn, so we'll see if they play ball, or if they're even allowed to make another game.

I noticed the same thing. I’m quitting Cod because of this. It’s just too extreme.
remember in older cods like BO2 where new players had access to a dedicated "new player" playlist with bots and other new players until a certain rank?
Facts. I'm so ready for the finals and XDefiant to drop

Facts. No I don’t have 70$ for maps I played during the golden age.
MBMM I like the sound of that
Facts
It's just math and they're greedy bastards.

happened to me a few times
I experienced this in the beta as well. I also think some players have "stronger" aim assist while sometimes you won't get any at all when you aim at them. I would watch some of the kill cams and they would hip fire 3 bullet headshot me at AR distance, when my guns felt like sponges.

It's Demonic.
For money.

@msandonato23 not tinfoil hat at all, they literally have a patent for it. they buff and nerf player mid match and break aim assist and hit reg depending on how well you are doing/how long youve been playing. i refunded this shit SOOOO fast.

lmao this, I'd rather level my guns on zombies MP is a just there to make your exp miserable
They use nostalgic maps with terrible SBMM essentially trying to ruin the maps we grew up with.
I’d never Thought I’d see the day that Nero played against 6 Members of Alcoholics Anonymous
Meanwhile I’m playing Minecraft 😂
greed. there must be a larger group of casual players that will continue to buy the micro transactions. that’s literally all they care about.
Went from a 1.8 on mw2 to a 1.1 on mw3.
If you care at all about your KD with SBMM I feel sorry for your mental health
“We don’t want to discourage people and have them quit”
Well great they literally created a such rage inducing system that causes the core players to either quit or never start
1.45 on vanguard and cold war, 1.05 mw2, .91 on mw3.
This is exactly the point, and what they want.
already happened to me in MW2 (Vanguard 1.15 to exactly 1 in MW2) and i'm afraid of playing multiplayer... so far i only played zombies. Maybe it is time to get shared my brothers MW3 PS version to smurf into blind lobbies with a washed account to have fun again
Your comments at 8:54 are true!!!
In the old days you always felt like you were somewhat improving at the game because of how random the matchmaker felt with other players skills.
Today in sbmm it just feels like the game is trying it’s damn hardest to make everyone go 10/10 with a 50% wr…
You never feel like you’re getting better anymore because you’re constantly getting uptiered into higher skill matches
@@NvaderRetroyup we just aren’t the target audience anymore. We have to accept this version of the game or the gaming addiction curse is broken and we can focus on life now that we once played games to get away from lol

this is why i’m not getting cod again, and im happy to see it’s just as i expected. happy im not missing out on anything
The amount of people who actually think they are very good is crazy. People literally cant get better because they are being lied too.
SBMM this year is way stronger than any year. I’ve ran into 5 different Top 250 players and at least 50+ Iridiscent players.
K/D is a 2.01 right now so i’m not getting “shit on” but a lot of my friends won’t play with me right now. My friends first game on at lvl 1 was in a lobby with a top 250 player and he got off the game within 3 matches. It’s pretty annoying
Last year's cod had 480k plus players peak ( *on steam* ), this one 178k.
Sbmm straight up killing the entire franchise
keeping in mind that 178k also includes warzone and mwii so the actual number is probably closer to 100k which is pathetic
It’s also due to the negativity surrounding the campaign and that it’s basically a big DLC
@@ac1119
i know but it shows that people didn't want a piece of last year's game and they dont want the same pie with some sprinkles on it.
No matter how colorful those sprinkles are.
It's good.
Also that 488k peak was mostly warzone. When mw22 came out it peaked around 100k and so a lot less ppl bought this one
Completely agreed! But when you ask a person who doesn't know/play video games "hey what do you think about making people play against people of equal skill?" they are like "yeah sounds good" and that's where the thinking ends....aka foolishness.
Well said. No one understands the nuance of the argument that it isn't "skill based" at all. It just actively makes you lose if you do too well.
I feel you. I want to love this game but feel like I’m competing for like the World Series of anything. Every time I play now I don’t wanna always have to compete at a super high level. I just wanna play.
Why the hell connection doesnt take priority over skill in non-competitive lobbies is beyond me
That should be an easy lawsuit. They are trying to force you to lose
Most games want you feel like god, so you buy stuff. COD makes you feel like loser and still people buy stuff. Stockholm syndrome anyone?
SBMM just forces you to try hard every game or just get rolled. you go from casually playing and doing pretty well in your first few games to slowly getting more and more sweaty yourself just so you don't get stomped as the enemies get better. but the more you try hard to not get stomped the more it ramps up requiring you to sweat more, until you have to try your absolute best every game. if you start going on a loss streak you then slowly go back down until the cycle starts again. so either you play at peak performance 100% of the time or you just yo-yo between getting stomped and climbing up to the point of getting stomped.
Hey. What COD games has this been implented in? Like how far does this go? Cuz this is nuts.
@odysseyoftroy1222 jeez. So wtf did these morons do turn up the SBMM to the max???
I’m starting to think they do this not to match you with equal skill, but to ensure that your group finally loses for EOMM, and the algorithm finally succeeded by stacking the ping against your group so hard that even bots could wreck you.
EOMM by definition is designed to make you lose. It's not "equal skill level" at all.
It’s actually disgusting that Activision refuses to talk about this..
This happened last night. Had a streak going on cutthroat then couldn't find a game at all. Ran some tdm with 3 ppl and they literally didn't give us teammates until we were down 25+ kills
It's so obvious when you look at it, they aren't even hiding it anymore
@@NerosCinemadon't be surprised if in the next 5 years they end up making us pay some how for non sbmm lobbies lmao. They'll find a way to profit off this even more.
It's probably the strongest SBMM I've ever seen.
i remember in mw 2019 our friend group that wanted to play the game was like 4 or 5 people 2 of which didn't like playing with me because of "my lobbies" and the others just got burnt out playing it. i would literally sit in the same party while they played ground war since it had little to no SBMM, whilst i played dom 6v6.
World At War's Bootcamp protected new players without punishing experienced ones perfectly IMO.
And so did combat training
Bo1 too, it needs to comaback and keep sbmm to ranked
Never been happier to save $70. Love the videos Nero
BO1 had the best system.
after you complete your 3 daily challenges, every win you get counts as a point aswell.
Okay.. but the entire point of this video is that they make it harder and harder to win a game.
Its so crazy that every game I finish it always loads me up to a next match thats mid through and puts me in a losing team
Fr man seems like the majority of matches I join are in progress. I would expect that for a game at the end of its life cycle but this ridiculous. Destiny 2 does that a lot too and it’s horrible
That's insane that the game thinks you are so good that it doesn't want to put you into a lobby for the game mode you want to play. how do they even justify that
By taking the money of idiots that keep falling for the same old song and dance...

I miss the days when you would get a good lobby and the lobby would actually STAY TOGETHER after the round was over. I used to love getting a chance to win again if I lost a close game, but they disband the whole lobby after each match. So stupid.
As a solo player I appreciate your analysis .. about 1 match in 4 puts you in domination with players unaware it’s a objective game
Feel the same way for hardpoint.. dudes will have 25-30kills with 0-3seconds
Halo infinite too. It "broke" last update so SBMM is tracking socials now

The reason I haven’t played COD since BO4
Germany makes sense. But Mexico? Nah, should've been Italy!
Bo2 i had that problem too sometimes but the players where not insanely sweaty atleast, just bad ping somtimes

I am totally with you on this. I wasn’t spectacular in MW2 (1.35 kd) but have a .69 kd in MW3. If there is SBMM, I’m not seeing it lol
They have patents for lowering aim assist and lowering damage aswell.
The kill delays have been brutal. Enemies kill you effortlessly and the kill cam shows you didn't even try. Even tho we have 7 Ping the lowest in the lobby!
I started off with a combined 3KD for my first 2 games of mw3, then went negative because the lobbies suddenly became chaos with that burst weapon…
Feels it’s been enhanced even in mw2 after the update
After I go ham and crack a long multi kill
I immediately start lagging or having people spawn behind me
The top guy in free for all actually spawned in front of me back to back
Gave me the kill on him
If I am at 16 kills first place and the 2nd place is 4-6 - guaranteed I’m gonna lag bad, be spawned away from everyone and see no one or have back to back people spawn directly behind me
It’s all nonsense
A truly fair system would be a static system and it’s up to the player to either do good or bad
Chess doesn’t change based on skill
But they don’t want a set system that’s fair
They want equity, outcome - not a fair system
The added hp this time around has ramped sbmm and eomm to an unplayable level 😢
I haven't noticed the health increase for myself. I'm still getting dropped in 2-3 shots with smgs from across the map.
That 150 health was BS tbh. SHG either buffed every damage value or completely removed the added health. This game is back to COD Ghosts TTK. Just flick on an enemy & they are elimed.
The raised core HP and decreased HC HP. So HC it's 1 or 2 bullets and Core is 8-10.

Btw, noone wants to vs a team, remember the otherside of the equation.
