I believe in American Exceptionalisim 100% we have given more freedom and improved the standard of living for more people than any nation in the history of the world. Proud descendant of 8 men who picked up weapons and helped found this great nation.

I’m particular fond of the Monarchical system developed in Brazil… I think it worked well, and it would’ve continued to work very well if it wasn’t for D.PedroII cowardice! Regardless of the system, if the head of the system isn’t inspired by the Holy Spirit and thus lack the courage to take all the action needed at a given moment, it will crumble! Dna. Isabel wanted to fight back, she was admonished by the king, and forced to follow him away to exile in Portugal. I can never bring myself to forgive him for condemning Brazil to the horrible situation it is today! I know it will cause me to suffer longer in purgatory, but the suffering I’ve witnessed in the favelas my grandparents and other extended family lived in… I cannot bring myself to forgive his cowardice and selfishness!!!!

Wow! Carrying is not high on my own list of reasons to love protestant flavored America over Catholic flavored Italy.
