    Weekend Walks- Walking the Berwickshire Coastal Path over 2 days with a wild camp on Saturday night. During day 2 we walk from our campsite just past St. Abbs to Eyemouth and them continue on to the finish at Berwick upon Tweed. Calamity follows when I fall asleep on the bus back and miss my stop!

    Thanks - very thorough and much appreciated that you're not secretive with your hiking routes and camping spots like so many others... I'd already booked a train to Berwick Upon Tweed so this has helped enormously.

    Have just walked this. Watched your 2 videos before and enjoyed watching them again after. Did it South to North. Had one beautiful day from Berwick to St Abbs. The next day was a bit grim - wet and windy and didn’t stop until the end. A good walk though.

    Great walk mate, I took 3 colleagues on the same walk over two days too. Got Steaming in Coldingham and Berwick. 😂
    Can't believe you fell asleep. Haha

    That was good. I've a caravan at Marshall Meadows ( where the style was) and get dropped off and walk back a lot. It's spectacular. I fell asleep on a train once. Was supposed to get off at Preston. When I woke up the sign for Preston station went past the window. I thought, thank god. Then the next sign passed, then the next, faster and faster. I told the guard and I got off at the next station (miles south) and made my way back to Manchester on various trains. Didn't cost me a penny more. British Rail ( long time ago) we're great. I explained what had happened and it was never questioned. But oh what an idiot I felt. Regards

    Great walk and video John. May I suggest the Fife coastal path, I did it last year to!.

      Thanks Jay! That one is on the list too. What did you do for accommodation on the Fife Costal Path? Any reccomendations?

  • @jayclarke7081
    @jayclarke7081 6 років тому +1

    I’m from Dunfermline John, so I took my car to my start point and for the most part their was a very good bus service that ran round the costal path, so getting back to my car was never really an issue.
    The entire route is littered with hotels and bnbs etc, although I would imagine you would probably wild camp. Am I right in saying that you have the same Garmin 64 gps as me ?, I heard it bleeping on your vids. What walks are you planning next ?.

    • @HoundsofHowgate
      @HoundsofHowgate  6 років тому

      Yeah, I'd wild camp. I'm partial to a campsite too right enough: I love a shower and proper toilet.
      Coming next is a 15 mile day walk called the John Buchan Way, then a 30 mile weekender called the West Isles Way. After that we will be looking at heading back up North.

      Oh, I meant to say Jay, it's the Garmin eTrex 30x I have. Must have the exact same ping!
