12:45 Suletta was so heartwarming. Telling everyone what she is without hesitation touched me. That’s one of the reasons she’s one of my favourite Gundam pilots.
I really love how characters developed here. Guel/Bob had a good character arc and so as our Tanuki. Even minor characters seem to have some satisfying closure. Now we see how they gonna close Mio mio n Lady Prospera's arc.
It's ironic really. Guel embrace Suletta's "If you move forward you gain two" while Suletta abandoned it and make something on her own. She really grow up.

I felt ashamed.... I didn't think Suletta would have such a strong fortitude. Losing her title, left behind by her love ones, knowing herself was a clone of her mother's daughter. I thought she's gonna break. But she's not. She accept all of those misfortunes. She's even getting more mature and stronger. Building her relationships even more. To those who are facing misfortunes in life, be like Suletta. "Even though I'll gain nothing, I have to do what I can."
Also the girls who Suletta gave tomatoes to are the ones from Ep 1 that made fun of her "old fashioned" hairband. We should all eat more wholesome organic healing tomatoes! (And goat's milk also has strong healing powers if you've seen Miyazaki's 70's Heidi anime lol)
Gotta love how Lauda's all like "Father's dead, Petra's on the ER, big bro is no longer the big bro i knew, and it's your fault, Miorine!". For a moment there i thought he was going to blame Suletta for everything, but it turns out it was all Miorine's fault! I can't imagine the amount of processing his brain had to go through just to come up with that conclusion. 😂

Prospera finally got her own "Witch's Coven" & it's most likely be a mirror evil of something like Celestial Being. Making her own governing body & spreading permet particles into all known places with quite zero data storm so Aerial can freely move anywhere. Also, this tomato thing must have quite a big thematic meaning now that Suletta is clearly the tomato girl.
It's more like a less extreme version of the Angel Halo from Victory Gundam. Quiet Zero basically takes the same principle of hijacking everything in its surroundings via Newtype equivalent stuff, with the difference being that the Angel Halo targeted humans and reduced them to infants mentally and would kill them whereas Quiet Zero targets machinery with Permet functions as a whole so far.
The only one can counter Eri's data storms space are gund format user like Sophie. Still can move her Lfrith even struggle and pain under data storms space. Also the reason Prospera destroying Ochs Earth under SAL because she want to eliminate any possibilities threat to counter Eri's data storms space.

More like he straight up lost iq in the 2nd season and went all about Bael being the solver of all his problems. He execited it well, just that the big heads chose to not care about the rules if one ever was able to pilot Bael. Like, bitch, he even had the Issue Family's and Fareed Family's gundam frames in his possession yet probably due to the lack of Isurugi's and Helmwige's screen time or the fact that the 2nd season was rushed, he didn't give Mr. Camice or anyone in Tekkadan a gundam frame.

Multiple death flags inbound, Lauda gonna pilot Schwarzette and the whole crew of Earth House as well as El5n wanting to join Suletta. I'm also surprised on how calm Suletta was, like I know she'll be calm, but not that level of calm(not to mention, she's too polite. Even though her mom favours Ericth, she sure raised suletta well)
Suletta has the mental fortitude of a first responder who's been on the job for 40 years and has already seen the worst kinds of suffering. I think there's going to be a reveal later that she's not just a clone, but that Prospera did some sort of genetic engineering too, altering her brain processes

Holy cow wat an episode. Quiet Zero, the existence of another powerful Gundam without restrictions on data storm and Lauda, thats a death flag if I ever saw one....
Caliburn and Caliban are two different things. The former is another name for Excalibur (Arthurian) while the other is the name of the Monster from The Tempest (Shakespearean), Okouchi's main inspiration for the show. Calibarn is a combination of the two. Depending on how the efficacy and extent of damage it delivers to wielder, the name is gonna be a pun referring to the two ideas. One is the Sword of Legend, the other is an anagram for Cannibal. A plausible way Suletta gets out unharmed is going the Fullmetal Alchemist route that being exposed to the Truth (or Ericht's consciousness in this case) rendered her to have a defense mechanism against the lack of data storm filters.
That could be possible. Because 21 years ago there were 3 Gundams aside from Aerial that were captured by Cathedra and so far only 2 of them we have seen 1 which belonged to Peil Tech, the other is Scwharzette. The final one may be Calibarn.
I find Belmeria to be compelling. She's kind of a foil to Prospera in a way. She definitely thinks of the Elans as her sons (as implied in the previous season) but she doesn't have the political pull nor will to stop the experiments, thus the Elans simply think of her as a tool by Peil and despises her. Belmeria is haunted by regret and is struggling to move past her sins as the Elans became cannon fodder while Prospera is fueled by hatred all too willing to enact her vengeance but was kept Suletta out and keep her safe by her own means in the proverbial rebirth scene.

The best writing from this series is how it just throw away ALL the Gundam tropes. The namesake mobile suit being the "big bad" is just amazing, and how the "hero" mobile suit is just revealed at the last episodes of the series. Usually the protagonist mobile suit is clearly written on the title, and now we know why this series is just titled, Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury.

For IBO Barbatos was depicted as evil but was still acting as the hero in a losing battle. Gotta wonder if Suletta will evolve in Caliburn to reach Ericht level or die trying and Ericht takes over her corpse.
That end card with Miorrine holding a green tomato pretty much symbolizes how less she knows about the situation and how naïve she has been with her "peace" talks, compared to the others (Shaddiq, Elan, Guel and even Suletta). She's now realizing the consequences of her actions (this and the last episode where she went to earth). I've seen people made a comment in one episode showing Suletta being reflected on a Green tomato for her naivetes and Miorrine on a red tomato due to her knowledge. Seems like the tables have turned.
Not really sure about that… The green tomato was firstly used to symbolized Shaddiq feeling towards Miorine that was ruined by his own action before he confessed to her, as Miorine cut the raw green tomato after Shaddiq confession. Green tomato would well portray the naiveness of Miorine before the incident, but it’s already 2 episodes ago. I think now all kids have the same level of understanding how cruel the world is, but the difference is how well they can cope with it. It seems that Suletta is now the best one among them and Mio is the worst.
What you said plausible but since it’s first used when shaddiq confesses I think it’s a symbolism for her feelings that never “ripened” for him, since he came too little too late, hence the green, while her feelings for suletta came to fruition, represented by the ripe red tomatoes.
This plot twist is so amazing.. calibarn the monster, quiet zero enhanced aerial and now a completely unprecedented variable, LAUDA and SCWARZETTE. What a very powerful series.. This is beyond madness!
at least, in this episode we know that suletta aware that she's not prospera real daughter from the start. so it's not brainwashing, nor gaslighting, only a mom who care with her only daughter more than her biogenetic daughter. but still care, but not the most and revenge, never forget the source of this story

Idk why ppl think Suletta is gonna pilot Schwartzette. The design doesn't even scream main character's Gundam (no blue, red, yellow). And it's Jeturk, so most likely either Guel or Lauda.
idk why others thought the same (Suletta piloting it), but the design and weaponry of the Schwarzette (big-ass heavy weapon) screams Lauda piloting it. If it had a spear-type, Guel piloting it would have been a more reasonable possibility.
I am glad how Suleta finally found her own path. I am glad that even knowing that she was just used by Prospera she still hasn't lost hope. I hope she hasn't lost hope.
quite tragic that Lauda is the one plotting to kill Miorine but i think this bridges something in the finale If Miorine can convince Lauda that the GUND-Arm tech can help Petra in the future she's not only saving Petra but also herself especially in this ep where she's really affected by the deaths recently precious Tanuki doing her best lastly, Earth House and co. going into another battlefield
In the previous episode someone mentioned that only Petra's lower half was in danger hence she might she be "saved" with GUND-Arm medical prosthetics and honestly that's a great suggestion! I'm really glad that it could actually be a possibility now but we also have Lauda out there doing trying to pull something dumb as a solidified side character lol. Edit: We may be discounting Lauda's piloting abilities too soon but it's not hopeful since all we got to see was that one time he was in a fight which he instantly froze up like that one guy who was all cocky but single-handedly ruined the earth forces' evacuation plan when bob was stuck with them. It'd be such a waste if Schwarzette got underutilised by an incompetent pilot. Maybe Guel might unleash it's full potential when Lauda comes to his senses (hopefully), incapacitated or worse, dead (please no more trauma for Guel).

This episode is the mother serving up (incomplete) vengeance to what's happened in the prologue. Decimation goodness to the fleet. Man, Quiet Zero is insane. Can't wait to see Suletta and Eri fight it to death.
I look forward to seeing Caliburn's full appearance because if it's monstrous it would definitely look terrifying. Also...I fear Lauda would pilot the Schwarzette to get revenge on Miorine.
I believe the term of "monster" here is not about the appearance but more like capabilities. I'm guessing Caliburn has more power capabilities than Aerial. The fact that it has no filter for permet link is the proof for it. And because it has no filter it also become more dangerous than any other mobile suits including Aerial itself. Those with permet filters can still harm or kills the pilot. Imagine what will happen with Suletta if she pilot Caliburn. I'm also guessing since Caliburn don't have permet filter Suletta will have hard times to use its full power because it will hasten her own demise. If only Caliburn has permet filter then I think Suletta will have a chance to overpower Aerial a bit easily even for a moment
after sulletta agree to ride the gundam without eri, i can see death flag on her after know the consequence to the past who pilot gundam, hope she will stay alive until the end
Since they introduced this Caliburn thing, The Witch may also be a nod to Arthurian Legend, as in Prospera being the The infamous Witch Morgana. It make so much sense now.
caliban and aerial are prospero’s two servants, in The Tempest. aerial is the magical fae who causes the storm that enables prospero’s revenge, caliban is the monster that tries to rape prospero’s daughter. to those who have read the play, these developments are extra ominous.
To think they kept the real protagonist Gundam hidden all this time. And not only do they once again pulled material from Shakespeare's The Tempest but possibly from Arthurian Legend as well.
Suletta really gonna go seed's METEOR scene all over again in next two episode or three. but without hax like kira or the permet score side effect nullification, i wonder if she stand any chance at all confronting her mom and sister.
I feel more shivers when watching that Quiet Zero... That's no Ship, it's a Mobile Fortress! The true witch was rised, the cursed was spelled on... Will Suletta able to confront her Mother and his sister: Eri? And furthermore, Would you be able to survive?

Final battle would probably be Gundam Calibarn vs Gundam Aerial. Who would've thought the main gundam would be the villian's gundam and the hero's real gundam will just appear in the final act.

We finally witness the Power of Quiet Zero, Miorine losing her shit more, some Spacian Politics and a new Gundam called Caliburn (Holy shit i hope that is the unnamed kit or better yet a future release). Also those Jegan-Like MS called Caragores? Yeah I WANT THAT! ALSO YES! PETRA ISNT DEAD YET! (And i hope she wont die! She is still owed a Date!) Though Lauda seems to be going on the Revenge Path. Prospera managing to hurt Miomio is funny to me for some reason. And Suletta handing out Miomio's Tomatoes is sweet and also take that spacians! Enjoy the power of the Tomato! Elan 5 not in a cell is weird but i guess they are in a bad situation still. Also Damn it Peil HAGs! This was a straight forward ep and i am looking forward to next weeks Ep : The Woven Path. I hope we get a battle or two, heck just a montage of Quiet Zero wiping out them Spacian Fleets again would be nice. Where the Earthians at? Wierd how they got ready to fight and somehow only Prospera and her Faction? is actually doing more than the Earthers. Edit : The Quiet Zero art makes it look like a Giant Phase Array Cannon from Ur and Thorn. The Aerial Rebuild has a buttplug moment i find funny and resembles a scene from somewhere else. The new MP Gund-Bits that Eri uses are deployed and stored kinda like something from 00.
ok Quiet Zero was everything I expected it to be, that instant fleet wipe was *chef's kiss the only thing that would have made that wipe even better would be when they had the data storm space up, instead of the drone bit firing squad, the assembly league ms and ship started shooting each other just to rub it in, and those organs for quiet zero's theme are absolute eargasm It's probably headed towards the Assembly League Front next and the Peil quartet will try to suck up to prospera next so Suletta is going to pilot this decades old gundam supposedly on par with the aERIal in terms of performance but with complete disregard for pilot survivability Lauda will probably be an agent of chaos piloting the Schwarzette targeting Miorine and/or Suletta which will probably be the showcase for the Calibarn's performance, I'm gussing Suletta might have a latent perfect sync rate for the data storm as well since she is genetically identical to Eri but never had to use it before thanks to Eri worst case scenario Lauda is killed and Schwarzette destroyed or the Calibarn overpowers the Schwarzette and incapacitates it and Lauda is apprehended and Guel pilots the Schwarzette to assist Suletta either way these last 3 are going to be a banger and 5lan will probably steal the pharact helps out a bit then peaces out to go to the earth and Petra is left in critical and probably Gund tech will help her regain her body in a way

If this ends only with this season, its the most lackluster gundam series. We got 20 episodes of nothing and just stuck in that stupid school and then bam "final battle" .
So glad Petra still alive but a huge death flat to Lauda, so this ship still ain't in safe position to sail. We finally see the true protagonist gundam in "Calibarn" who never been mentioned before and came out of "kinda" nowhere while people hyping for Schwarzette's, just let Bandai cooking. God Suletta's character development are so damn drastic, her calmness, her will, her way of think are far way more different than she before. Like a proud father, i'm so proud she stand right there for herself and clean the mess of her bloodline. Prospera are still scared me into my spine when she said her last dialogue after make her "daughter" slaughter whole fleet, I can imagine how she smile after all that, truly a witch.

Prospera finally got her own "Witch's Coven" & it's most likely be a mirror evil of something like Celestial Being. Making her own governing body & spreading permet particles into all known places with quite zero data storm so Aerial can freely move anywhere.
Also, this tomato thing must have quite a big thematic meaning now that Suletta is clearly the tomato girl.
It's more like a less extreme version of the Angel Halo from Victory Gundam. Quiet Zero basically takes the same principle of hijacking everything in its surroundings via Newtype equivalent stuff, with the difference being that the Angel Halo targeted humans and reduced them to infants mentally and would kill them whereas Quiet Zero targets machinery with Permet functions as a whole so far.

I'm also surprised on how calm Suletta was, like I know she'll be calm, but not that level of calm(not to mention, she's too polite. Even though her mom favours Ericth, she sure raised suletta well)
Suletta has the mental fortitude of a first responder who's been on the job for 40 years and has already seen the worst kinds of suffering. I think there's going to be a reveal later that she's not just a clone, but that Prospera did some sort of genetic engineering too, altering her brain processes

Caliburn and Caliban are two different things. The former is another name for Excalibur (Arthurian) while the other is the name of the Monster from The Tempest (Shakespearean), Okouchi's main inspiration for the show. Calibarn is a combination of the two.
Depending on how the efficacy and extent of damage it delivers to wielder, the name is gonna be a pun referring to the two ideas. One is the Sword of Legend, the other is an anagram for Cannibal.
A plausible way Suletta gets out unharmed is going the Fullmetal Alchemist route that being exposed to the Truth (or Ericht's consciousness in this case) rendered her to have a defense mechanism against the lack of data storm filters.

That could be possible. Because 21 years ago there were 3 Gundams aside from Aerial that were captured by Cathedra and so far only 2 of them we have seen 1 which belonged to Peil Tech, the other is Scwharzette. The final one may be Calibarn.
I find Belmeria to be compelling. She's kind of a foil to Prospera in a way. She definitely thinks of the Elans as her sons (as implied in the previous season) but she doesn't have the political pull nor will to stop the experiments, thus the Elans simply think of her as a tool by Peil and despises her. Belmeria is haunted by regret and is struggling to move past her sins as the Elans became cannon fodder while Prospera is fueled by hatred all too willing to enact her vengeance but was kept Suletta out and keep her safe by her own means in the proverbial rebirth scene.

The best writing from this series is how it just throw away ALL the Gundam tropes. The namesake mobile suit being the "big bad" is just amazing, and how the "hero" mobile suit is just revealed at the last episodes of the series. Usually the protagonist mobile suit is clearly written on the title, and now we know why this series is just titled, Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury.

That end card with Miorrine holding a green tomato pretty much symbolizes how less she knows about the situation and how naïve she has been with her "peace" talks, compared to the others (Shaddiq, Elan, Guel and even Suletta). She's now realizing the consequences of her actions (this and the last episode where she went to earth). I've seen people made a comment in one episode showing Suletta being reflected on a Green tomato for her naivetes and Miorrine on a red tomato due to her knowledge. Seems like the tables have turned.
Not really sure about that… The green tomato was firstly used to symbolized Shaddiq feeling towards Miorine that was ruined by his own action before he confessed to her, as Miorine cut the raw green tomato after Shaddiq confession. Green tomato would well portray the naiveness of Miorine before the incident, but it’s already 2 episodes ago. I think now all kids have the same level of understanding how cruel the world is, but the difference is how well they can cope with it. It seems that Suletta is now the best one among them and Mio is the worst.

What you said plausible but since it’s first used when shaddiq confesses I think it’s a symbolism for her feelings that never “ripened” for him, since he came too little too late, hence the green, while her feelings for suletta came to fruition, represented by the ripe red tomatoes.
This plot twist is so amazing.. calibarn the monster, quiet zero enhanced aerial and now a completely unprecedented variable, LAUDA and SCWARZETTE. What a very powerful series.. This is beyond madness!

In the previous episode someone mentioned that only Petra's lower half was in danger hence she might she be "saved" with GUND-Arm medical prosthetics and honestly that's a great suggestion! I'm really glad that it could actually be a possibility now but we also have Lauda out there doing trying to pull something dumb as a solidified side character lol.
Edit: We may be discounting Lauda's piloting abilities too soon but it's not hopeful since all we got to see was that one time he was in a fight which he instantly froze up like that one guy who was all cocky but single-handedly ruined the earth forces' evacuation plan when bob was stuck with them. It'd be such a waste if Schwarzette got underutilised by an incompetent pilot. Maybe Guel might unleash it's full potential when Lauda comes to his senses (hopefully), incapacitated or worse, dead (please no more trauma for Guel).

This episode is the mother serving up (incomplete) vengeance to what's happened in the prologue. Decimation goodness to the fleet. Man, Quiet Zero is insane. Can't wait to see Suletta and Eri fight it to death.
Not gonna lie it feels good to watch the Assembly fleet be absolutely ripped apart in this episode, it's such a stark contrast to the prologue episode

I believe the term of "monster" here is not about the appearance but more like capabilities. I'm guessing Caliburn has more power capabilities than Aerial. The fact that it has no filter for permet link is the proof for it. And because it has no filter it also become more dangerous than any other mobile suits including Aerial itself. Those with permet filters can still harm or kills the pilot. Imagine what will happen with Suletta if she pilot Caliburn. I'm also guessing since Caliburn don't have permet filter Suletta will have hard times to use its full power because it will hasten her own demise. If only Caliburn has permet filter then I think Suletta will have a chance to overpower Aerial a bit easily even for a moment

It looks like the Lfrith symbolizing Ericht but the shoulders are different. Gundam Caliban has the typical v-antennas, the ED one does not.

Well. Holy Shit this episode. We finally witness the Power of Quiet Zero, Miorine losing her shit more, some Spacian Politics and a new Gundam called Caliburn (Holy shit i hope that is the unnamed kit or better yet a future release). Also those Jegan-Like MS called Caragores? Yeah I WANT THAT!
ALSO YES! PETRA ISNT DEAD YET! (And i hope she wont die! She is still owed a Date!) Though Lauda seems to be going on the Revenge Path. Prospera managing to hurt Miomio is funny to me for some reason. And Suletta handing out Miomio's Tomatoes is sweet and also take that spacians! Enjoy the power of the Tomato! Elan 5 not in a cell is weird but i guess they are in a bad situation still. Also Damn it Peil HAGs!
This was a straight forward ep and i am looking forward to next weeks Ep : The Woven Path. I hope we get a battle or two, heck just a montage of Quiet Zero wiping out them Spacian Fleets again would be nice. Where the Earthians at? Wierd how they got ready to fight and somehow only Prospera and her Faction? is actually doing more than the Earthers.
Edit : The Quiet Zero art makes it look like a Giant Phase Array Cannon from Ur and Thorn. The Aerial Rebuild has a buttplug moment i find funny and resembles a scene from somewhere else. The new MP Gund-Bits that Eri uses are deployed and stored kinda like something from 00.

ok Quiet Zero was everything I expected it to be, that instant fleet wipe was *chef's kiss the only thing that would have made that wipe even better would be when they had the data storm space up, instead of the drone bit firing squad, the assembly league ms and ship started shooting each other just to rub it in, and those organs for quiet zero's theme are absolute eargasm
It's probably headed towards the Assembly League Front next and the Peil quartet will try to suck up to prospera next

Lauda will probably be an agent of chaos piloting the Schwarzette targeting Miorine and/or Suletta which will probably be the showcase for the Calibarn's performance, I'm gussing Suletta might have a latent perfect sync rate for the data storm as well since she is genetically identical to Eri but never had to use it before thanks to Eri
worst case scenario Lauda is killed and Schwarzette destroyed or the Calibarn overpowers the Schwarzette and incapacitates it and Lauda is apprehended and Guel pilots the Schwarzette to assist Suletta
either way these last 3 are going to be a banger
and 5lan will probably steal the pharact helps out a bit then peaces out to go to the earth
and Petra is left in critical and probably Gund tech will help her regain her body in a way

If this ends only with this season, its the most lackluster gundam series. We got 20 episodes of nothing and just stuck in that stupid school and then bam "final battle" .

God Suletta's character development are so damn drastic, her calmness, her will, her way of think are far way more different than she before. Like a proud father, i'm so proud she stand right there for herself and clean the mess of her bloodline. Prospera are still scared me into my spine when she said her last dialogue after make her "daughter" slaughter whole fleet, I can imagine how she smile after all that, truly a witch.
I think Calibarn is gundam that been used by ericht father in prologue
