Was wondering if you have considered roof bars and a roof box to expand your storage? Seems like you could expand your reach with these trips with more space.

When I was traveling in the Model 3 I had a roof box. It was great to expend storage capacity but deceased the car's energy efficiency quite significantly. Not going that route again and keeping everything inside for best aerodynamics!
