- The Lego Movie!! One of my favorite animated movies from the 2010s, and second favorite from Phil Lord and Chris Miller. And CinemaSins did a 20-minute video on it. You know what must be done.
Disclaimer: I don't have much ill will towards CinemaSins, I just want to point out the many mistakes they've made in their videos.

The Master Builders think without instructions, which causes them to be chaotic as they all have their own styles.
Emmet thinks with the instructions in new ways. He knows how already existing pieces can fit together in a more logical approach. Function over style.
This is why Emmet is special.

Nah, they did these videos where they would talk about the movie after watching it. Most of the jokes from there are usually repurposed. This is how they actually watch movies (also including the fact that there's a line between trying to be funny and just blatantly lie about what is going on in the movie)
@@justdenys1421 that's the point. Cinemasins is a long running series, of course they're going to reuse jokes. It's called a running gag. And no sane person would actually watch a movie like that, even the host

Most of Jeremy´s review is him basically questioning the logic of the Lego world when in turn literally answering his own question by it´s in an 8 year old´s imagination, not every little thing has to make sense especially if it´s in the gosh darn imaginative mind of a child.
i can only imagine how bad he hates Lego Movie 2, when the Legos can move and talk in the real world

Cinema sins, more like "Cynical Sins", is about time for someone to start giving these self-proclaimed "critics" a taste of their own medicine.
As another UA-camr puts it “They are a critical channel that hates criticism.”

Bro when cinemasins sinned the Lego bike I literally wanted to jump through the screen and correct him.
Everything he’s mad about can be explained by the fact that it’s a kid’s imagination-
which usually would be a bad excuse, but in this movie it works because its a silly movie about legos in a kids imagination
there’s no way i just sat through all of this for him to end it by calling the lego movie video game terrible
There's probably multiple Lego movie videogames and yes if I remember correctly I owned the one I think he's talking about and yes it SUCKED

This was another great video, and there are three things I’d like to say:
1. 23:18 I used that video game image for the thumbnail of my EWW CinemaSins: The LEGO Movie video and I like that video game, but I respect your opinion.
2. 2:51 In my opinion, the dumbest sin from CinemaSins that I ever came across was the “This road” sin from his Shang-Chi video. I say this because Lombard Street is a very popular tourist destination and therefore he should know that it exists in real life.
3. What made you decide to finally cover a CinemaSins video that others sinned prior (myself included) since your previous videos were on CinemaSins videos that hadn’t already been covered?
1. Okay, admittedly maybe the word "terrible" was too strong of a word, I liked the game, but it's definitely one of my least favorite Lego games
2. Oh yeah, that's stupid.
3. To be honest, that mostly came down to the fact that this is one of my favorite movies, and also forgetting that others have already done this.
the 3rd one is probably because some of the sins here are so bad that just 1 counter sin isn't enough

Nice extensive list of all the illogical sins in the original video. Sin 71 isnt actually correct however, the master builders DO create the instructions for everything. When the masterbuilders are first brought into the think tank, Lord Business literally says: '"They come up with all the instructions for everything in the universe". However, the original sin still doesnt make sense, Business could just want the construction site to be a part of his Bicks-burg-display as many real-life LEGO city builders have it be.

The only thing that is sin worthy is the fact that tge dad was able to afford that much lego. Lego has become insanely expensive and I don’t think even Bezos would have enough money to build a lego city that big, let alone all the other lego worlds. In all seriousness, great video but I disagree with mocking Cinema Sins dry laugh. Would love to see more videos like this from you!
back then, Lego wasn't AS expensive, and he's an adult with his own steady, above-average income. there's TONS of adults who have been collecting Lego for YEARS and have a ton of Lego, despite it becoming super expensive

Likewise, Superman is vulnerable to magic, and it's established that in the Lego universe, non-Lego objects are magical relics. Superman didn't just get stuck in chewing gum; he was hit by a magical artifact that uses an otherworldly substance to restrain its victims, and something like that would absolutely work against him.
2:33 is actually a reference to a film by the name of 8 1/2 which for various reasons ties into the plot of the lego movie. the lego movie is a great movie that needs more recognition for being able to have great themes of standing up against corporations and thinking for yourself, which are very important skills to have espesially now.

Virtruvius is described as a wizard so I imagine he survived the lava through magic,Lord Business definitely thought he killed him. Also,can we talk about how Lord Business hates master builders and yet was so creative he managed to create practically sentient robots and erect walls between dimensions? I think that's really cool if you chose to look at it as foreshadowing for his redemption
Edit: I enterpret erasing Good Cop as literally killing him. The two cops argue and Lord Business straight up says that the meeting will "run a little deadly". Basically, i think that in this world two faced lego characters are like an extreme version of conjoined twins. This is why the parents get shocked and upset when good cop is erased,their son was literally killed in front of them. The marker must have ressurected him in some way which isn't a surprise considering the marker is a relic just like the Q-tip used to erase good cop in the first place.
Edit 2: You don't even need the "Finn is a little kid" explanation for the 100 second timer. I assume when the timer turns to zero it will explode which means Lord Business needs to get away before that happens. Also, we are straight up told that the think tank is used to generate instructions. Probably not all of them but it is very likely the think tank does make instructions for bricksburg

Because his channel used to be good not making up random sins and used to be actually good. I remember older videos years ago of him pointing out like an uncolored square or a part clipping in a 3d render. Now it's just random stuff he doesn't like.

I'm not agreeing with Jeremy here but using the excuse "it's an eight-year-olds imagination" it's kind of dodging all of the important questions. (but great video)
I genuinely don't know what this guys audience is... people who can't retain more than 5 seconds of a movie before saying something negative about it. Just making up constant nonsense and spouting pop culture references to reset your brain and stop you from processing what he just said. Even just daring to entertain the idea of sinning this movie is horrible, It's perfect, it has more soul than anything else I have ever seen. The writing is beautiful. The visuals are beautiful. If I had to find literally just ONE thing to complain about... 1 or 2 of the pieces that Emmet and Lucy's bike use aren't actual pieces, the rear gear and one of the connector pieces I think, and that is just because I am a turbo Lego nerd and would notice something like that, and I had the set of it and it used different pieces, meanwhile this guy gets mad for not looking up how a minifigure sits on a bike and makes up a complaint for it anyway... If its all supposed to be one big joke then it's not funny. 100% guarantee he has never played with a Lego set even once in his life, might explain some things...
this one is even more infuriating since not only is The Lego movie an amazing movie in my opinion and many other people's opinions literally all of his sins are just looking too deep into a kid's movie and fictional imaginative universe and it's logic and refusing to acknowledge it's a fictional imagined universe with its own logic and even the movie itself acknowledges this and it makes even more sense when it's revealed that the whole story is made up by Finn and obviously the logic would be made up by him too and I don't think it's that hard to understand since it's like any other kid playing with toys and making their own universe and logic and rules to go with it ?
and obviously finn being a child like any other child that logic and rules will bend and change to fit the story and so they can have fun.

for God's sake it's a movie with talking Legos thats literally called "The Lego movie" and does a movie for kids so obviously the logic and rules aren't going to make that much sense and he's taking a kid's movie way too seriously and ruining it for people.
also I don't even want to know what he would think about The Lego movie 2 considering he really criticized and questioned the logic of the first one and the second one definitely isn't as great as the first and definitely has more inconsistencies.
