But TSA regulations dont allow Bear Spray on a plane... meaning pack lightly and get the rest of your stuff after your flight if you plan on flying to the Rocky Mountains.
Thanks. You said there's NOTHING you can do for a bison charge, but what about using BEAR SPRAY as last resort?? Wouldn't that be effective against them as well?
The biggest problem with bison is that people think they are docile like cattle and they get too close. Stay the distance and don't harass them so you won't need to use anything.
bear whistles will scare bears (and all other animals) off in most cases, however if you’re trying to see wildlife, since bear whistles will scare most animals away you won’t have as good a chance of viewing much wildlife! so just keep that in mind for use
Is a sweatshirt like the one mentioned, along with a windbreaker adequate if temps turned chilly when hiking up in high altitudes? We'll be hiking in Yellowstone and also Glacier National park. Should we bring a warmer layered Pile type jacket as well, or will these items you mentioned be enough? (planning to visit in July)
Even in July you could see snow in Yellowstone and especially Glacier. A heavy sweatshirt will provide insulation and the windbreaker on top of the sweatshirt will, of course, cut the wind so this could be okay as a winter jacket alternative. But I would bring a knit cap and gloves along as well.
I was only there for several days this week and therefore also in July. In the morning (6:15 am) a long-sleeved sweatshirt is an advantage. However, later in the morning (around 10 a.m.) this was no longer necessary as it got too warm for that. At this point you should also apply lotion/spray or cover your head to protect against sunburn.
The Day of our Lord Jesus Christ - Acts 2:20The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and notable day of the Lord come: When the sun shall be turned into darkness and the moon into blood that is the sign Fourth Seal events have concluded to move forward to the single day events of the Fifth, Sixth, and Seventh Seals. At the Fifth Sea,l they will say, ““Peace and safety" (1 Thess.5:3) .At the Sixth Sea; the great and notable day, the day of Jesus Christ, is come.
the best way to prevent a bison from charging is to take away his credit card
Joseph Reeves I think you might be on to something here..

I'll be in Yellowstone in September 2021. Would a bear whistle help if you don't have bear spray? I've never been charged by a large animal.

How do I donate for ya'll to buy a lapel mic?
Please get a better microphone...
Good video but you invest in a better microphone
OR just don't start drinking coffee and wake yourself up in the morning. That stuff is just as addictive as meth.
Really poor audio, couldn't hear that well, moved on...
