So, funny story: I still haven't watched the Gurren Lagann anime after all these years. My entire Gurren Lagann experience comes from the movies and this manga, which was published here in Italy in full (the very ones you are showing from the Panini publisher). Someday I will watch it, I swear. I hope you'll continue this series, I love this manga. Also, side note, who's sHimon? 😜
Honestly I think the movies were an overall better experience. The anime did have some scenes that I thought were better than the movies, and certain ones they cut out (giga drill maximum and the spiral gauge breaking at the climax). And I'm sad Bandai stopped production after volume 6, and whatever shenanigans happened there also made the volumes they did make pretty expensive. Also yeah Shimon LOL. Went with the fan translation for better consistency throughout since it cuts off at volume 6, so we'll just have to deal with it occasionally lol.
