Sony Burano is a $25 thousand 40 Megapixel 8K cinema camera. Sony's bread and butter is television, which is what the FS7 and FX9 dominate, and they need a good 4K camera (preferably oversampled from 6K) which means it only needs a 18MP sensor. comparing a $25K camera to a $10K camera is ill informed.

I don't see how triple base ISO should be a deal breaker. FX9 is pretty good as it is. It really only needs faster processor to enable higher frame rates, picture cache and maybe pushing the high base iso little bit higher.
Canon sensor tech is behind Sony which why Sony feels they can be lazy releasing new cameras. Sony camera announcements are delayed because of part shortages. Canon released their cameras aware of the shortage which is why most people can't even get ahold of their newly announced cameras even though they announced them, and they are on sale.
