for the 10 point, you could do two 5 point stars overlapped and rotated slightly. for 12 point, I haven't tried it yet, but I imagine that instead of skipping every other hole to thread thru (as in the 5 point star) you might have to skip two holes. so you thread thru every third hole, which - if I am thinking correctly- will take you around the circle 4 times. 3x4 +12. not sure what will happen on the reverse. id have to experiment to find out. let me know if you try it!
