I think it was ever worse than that. Baseless and incompetence interact in a non-linear manner to make a result worse than the sum of the two if they happened on their own. A judge seeing a baseless case is not likely to look kindly on a mistake.

I have mixed feelings n how he links in to the sponsors announcements - on one hand they are beautifully smooth, but on the other I prefer to see a clearer separation of the content and the sponsors contributions (having followed the debate about native advertising quite closely)

The whole objective of these lawsuits was to get people to donate money. The rumor is that some $275 million was collected and only a small fraction of that was spent in bringing these lawsuits.

I agree, well done. But it is still very jarring to hear a story about democracy in the balance suddenly morph into an ad. It’s almost Paul Verhoeven levels of irony.
Guilliani should really rewatch that scene in My Cousin Vinny. First of all, the witness guessed four fingers, not three. Second of all, the point Vinny made wasn't that he was too far away for anyone to see (after all, the judge could see his fingers just fine). The point was that the witness had bad eyesight and was behind on her glasses prescription, making her an unreliable witness.
He was being selective as those other points would not have fit the narrative he was presenting.

I am a lawyer in Tennessee. Why aren't the lawyers being called before their local boards of professional responsibility or being subject to Rule 11 sanctions for filing meritless claims?

Well, to be honest, a lot of the serious lawyers skipped out. Rudy hasn't been in a court room in decades. I think "ring rust" applies. I think Sidney Powell is off her meds.

I'd take Trump over that economy-sinking senile old man any day at this point. Trump single-handedly improved our economy to an all-time high during his run. Biden has sunk it to an all-time low in less than a year. So yeah, Trump was objectively better than Biden.

@Daniel James He was only acquitted because the senate didn't reach its 2/3rds majority (voting 57 in favour, needed 67 to pass.) How can inflation be compared to undermining the very fabric of US democracy. Inflation isn't just due to Biden's polices either. We do have a war on with sanctions etc. Furthermore both Trump and biden have increased spending which contributes to inflation. I live in Ireland and I can tell you inflation is happening everywhere unfortunately so again not wholly on Biden like you claim either. Those rioters acted on Trump's brash claims so that is incitement. If Trump had conceded once the votes had been counted sure there may have been anger but it would have not spiralled out of control and divided the country or lead to the worst attack on the Capitol since 1812.

Mustafa, when I heard that term "Frankenstein's monster" by Judge Brann a week ago or so, I loved it. It gave me the laugh of the day. Hearing it again in this video was very rewarding. Talking about how they stitched Frankenstein together comparing it to Rudy and his team's haphazard case. That labeling by a court is probably the best quote ever with these ridiculous lawsuits! Lol!
