Can we get some new places? Bc this most def is gone. And I saw someone mentioned Buckeye Steel when you posted and that’s gone now too. I’d love so new cool places bc I’m looking for awesome places for photos. 🙏🏼
I went to Vance's a few months ago and didn't even recognize the area since I moved away 25+ years ago. Let me give you some more history of this area if I am correct as to where you are. In your video, this doesn't look familiar to me at all, but my guess is that this bowling alley is in the back corner of Northern Lights shopping center. During my days as a kid (the 60s), there used to be an official Putt Putt course in the front of NLSC (Northern Lights Shopping Center). In years past, it was moved to the back directly across from the bowling alley. A little diversion if I may. My dad and I played that course when it was in the front many times. One day, I was there getting ready to hit my ball. My father told me later that he saw a look in my eyes and thought, "What is he going to do?" I raised my club and hit that ball like I thought I was a professional golfer and drove it across Cleveland Ave into Amos Shopping Center without hitting a single car. Cleveland Ave was only 2 lanes in those days - maybe 3 with the suicide lane. Later, my dad got a chance to get even. We were at the last hole where your ball dropped into the 18th hole and was gone. One side had the hole where you had a steep grade that took the ball up and onto a flat grade. The other had a loop that took your ball up onto the top for you to finish it if you didn't get the hole in one for a free game. I remember him hitting that ball so hard that it flew over the edge and back at us. He was a character to say the least. I did his eulogy at his funeral and this was one of the things I mentioned because he didn't want his funeral to be a sad time. Back to the story of the area. With the Putt Putt in the back of the center, there was also a large slide added in the 70s. It was a multi-lane slide where you had a burlap bag to sit on as you slid down. I think they were both there at the same time, but I'm not sure. In those days, the area was still pretty decent. The cut off point in those days was Hudson St. South of that got pretty gritty. My aunt and uncle also lived in the apartments that were directly behind NLSC in the 60s before moving farther north.
Mr.Bills Bowling Alley used to be lit they didn’t go out of business actually they just relocated across the street not very far away at all and changed the name. I grew up walking distance from Mr.Bills Northern Lights is terrible

Back in the day (1980s) there used to be Putt-Putt and the Bowling alley, and I used to go to both on the weekends. Sad that they are both gone.
And the drive-in movies damn I miss it too !

I don't think this place has been out of business that long, I feel like it was still running around 2002 or 2003?
it wasn't abandoned.
If I remember right, that location had a fire so they closed and then opened HP Lanes across the street to replace it.
that place isn't abandoned.it caught on fire.
Why haven't you gone into the value city in northern lights yet that would be cool
