Finnish M05 summer camo test - June

Setup is GoPro 5 Black on a tripod, height about 150 cm. Shooting distance from 10 - 15 metres. Shooting time was about 18:00. I kept the un-camo hood so that there was actually something to see.

Excellent video. Camo works quite well. If you hadn't used a dark balaclava it would have been even harder to spot you.

I had the baraclava on so that there was something to see. I have a hood for the jacket and I left it intentionally out.

This wasn't so much a camo test as a stand behind things so we can't even see the camo... test.....

Behind trees any camo is the most effective. In front of the tree any camo is not very effective. Digital camo's are effective from 30 meters/ 100 feet and beyond. M81 Woodland camo was designed to be effective in the medium distance, so 50 to 150 meters/ 164 to 492 feet. So this test is pretty close.

Too dark. Easy to spot since it doesnt break up the outline well enough.

At places, yes. Works best in darker forest when cloudy. Not good in direct sun light.

Miksi et tee enää videoita?

Into hieman loppui. Tekemiseen aika paljon vaikuttaa aina oma into ja mielenkiinto ja tätä intoa ruokkii se että jos on paljon yleisöä jolle tätä tekee. Jos oma sisältö ei löydä yleisöä, niin into jossain vaiheessa laantuu. Esimerkiksi tämä video - se on tehty yli kolme vuotta sitten ja sillä on 4000 katsojaa - eli keskimäärin 3 per päivä. Tietenkin tämä heitä varmaan auttaa mutta loppupeleissä videoiden tekeminen on niin aikaa vievää puuhaa että ei se oikein tasapainottunut. Osa videoista tietenkin on hyvinkin suosittuja. Vieläkin kyllä harrastelen ulkoilua mutta minulla ei ole ollut uusia ostoksia kohta kahteen vuoteen, joten ei sen puolestakaan ole enää mitään kuvattavaa varusteiden osalta. Kun kanava ei lähtenyt lentoon, niin ei voi uusia varusteita ostaa pelkästään sitä varten eikä siinä nyt muutenkaan olisi mitään järkeä. Sitten on vielä se että kameroiden kanssa malsiminen pitkin maita ja mantuja on hieman mälsää ja menee retkistä into siinä.

@@KMHiker kiitos vastauksesta. Ymmärrän hyvin. Videoiden teko on työlästä puuhaa etenkin kun niitä kuvaa ulkona. Mutta sitten kumminkin suosituimpia kanavia on puhuvat päät. Eli tyypit istuu sisällä päivät pitkät ja kuvaa sisällä pelkkää omaa lärviä ja kertovat suomeksi juttuja, mitä jotkut ulkomaalaiset ovat alunperin kertoneet ulkomaan kielillä. UA-camssa ei todellakaan työhön nähty vaiva vertaudu siihen miten paljon on yleisöä.
