    1. Tape up what you don't want painted.
    2. Spray paint it brown, tan, or green.
    3. Optional spray paint stripes and patterns of the same colors.
    4. Remove tape and enjoy shooting.

Someone should mention light or dark colors 1st. I can't remember but I know it matters in the cerekote world. Pretty sure it's lighter colors 1st.

A great practical application of the camo work, both the painting and the clothing. I also appreciated the heads up on the clothing company. No one wants to walk around like a mall commando, but being able to blend in lets a person chose his tactics in case of an "unplanned situation". And, as Travis pointed out, his choice of camo was driven by the environment, which for most of us includes buildings, streets, etc. Still looking for more "grey man" clothing options. Suggestions are always welcome.

This is definitely more detailed than my go-to method of tan or brown base layer, then, using an old mesh laundry bag, I spray 'hex' pattern branches in OD, tan/brown (which ever was not the base). Does a very decent job for a forest floor with dead leaves and green brush area.

Im going to try this one day on my less expensive rifle to see how it turns out , i was surprised that it doesnt have to be taken too serious in detail etc, like you said youre dirty with it, bc in some things i do im a little OCD and that sometimes can be a good thing but sometimes not when you need to be fast or make quick decisions, i appreciate your time and giving credit to others, being humble when youre a badass is a plus with us civies, just subscribed and watched your why your rifle isnt zeroed video, which is what im trying to get better at, i bought a lazer sight in tool i havnt used yet on a couple different firearms, one isnt exactly a long range weapon so i have it somewhat zeroed on maybe 50 yards or so , honestly im not very good at long range, id love to be able to get out to the range more but work, 4 children being a single father , divorced etc, not to mention the other factors like $ and so on, but hey maybe being that my name is also Travis i can somehow get a bit of that badassery rubbed off on me, if only i could have a damn M249 SAW as an edc, id be smiling all day long

One thing I love that another channel said (it was either tactical rifleman or mike glover) is that they just kept some bottles of acrylic craft paint in their packs and basically finger painted their rifle to match their current environment. Acrylic craft paint doesn't hold up well at all but it doesn't really need to, you can just reapply as needed and if you need to you can scrub it off.

🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation:
01:09 🖌️ *Travis Haley demonstrates how to quickly paint your rifle for camouflaging it to match the environment.*
02:04 🎯 *Mask off critical areas like optics and lasers before painting, and don't worry about perfection; the goal is to get it done fast.*
03:29 🌲 *Use a base coat that matches the environment, then overlay with natural vegetation to create a camo pattern.*
12:41 🧠 *Remember that a perfect paint job is only effective as part of your overall fieldcraft and tactics; adapt to changing environments and lighting conditions.*
13:46 🧭 *Travis Haley emphasizes that fieldcraft skills and knowledge are crucial for success, and a paint job alone won't suffice in various situations.*

Some important tips for everyone: repaint your rifle anytime you're going into a real world conflict to match the mission area you'll be working in. Don't be afraid to repaint to apply fall colors or spring colors or whatever works best. In addition, keep flat white paint around in storage for winter/snow - the spray paint can will stay good for years. Next, if working outside keep in mind that your paint is just a **base coat** you don't need tons of details. Again if you're doing this in the real world, you want to loop some rubber bands on your gun and attach living natural foliage and other 3D elements to break apart the outline (particularly over the top of your scope and your handguard, the highest points on your rifle when shooting prone.
