Hey Kenny,
Great story, thanks. One of my favourite albums of ALL time. Santa Fe is an incredible song. Timeless album.
Cool.. Thanks for checking out my podcast
Blaze is a great album and Santa Fe is probably Jons finest moment as a song writer (along with Dry County). I bought the album on vinyl (I was 15 back then) and as you do read who played on what song etc and I always wondered who Kenny Aronoff was as there was no internet back in the day to find out!
Cool.. Thanks for checking out my podcast..
Hello dear Kenny, I remember seeing you in a Richie Sambora song and I was very excited and the first time I saw your channel was with Melissa Etheridge, it was extremely beautiful, I love her.
Thanks for checking out my podcast.. : )
Hi Kenny, I am from Perú and I got the Blaze of Glory cassette album back in 1990. Man, I sang every song of that record till I got it all memorized. Nowadays, I also recognize what a stretch It was musically for Jon Bon Jovi since the sound of It is nowhere near to Bon Jovi's classic sound. It was also my first introduction to Jeff Beck, Little Richard and yourself. Greetings from Perú.
Thank you for checking out the Jon Bon Jovi Episode on my podcast.. : )
August 7, 4:15 is a killer track. Lyrics and music meet in a way you could only dream for. Haunting as hell.
Thanks for your comments and checking out my podcast. : )

Kenny, didn't you also play drums on Jon's amazing solo album Destination Anywhere? Couldn't you do a Kenny Aronoff Session on that?

*Thank you, dear Kenny!*
🏆
Was a great LP
Thanks Ron. I agree
Hey Kenny! Now I have a story for YOU! LOL. Did you know years later when Jon was rehearsing for some gig that he kept yelling at Joe Bellia because he swore the drum break on blaze of glory was being played wrong. Someone in the room told me years ago. He said that Jon didn't realize apparently years later how you did a slightly different counting for the drum break.
lol.. Great story.. The drum b real after the break down is a one measure drum fill in 4/4...
One question I have is when you’re hired to play on a recording, and there’s not a chart for you to play. In other words, you are developing the drum part, do you get a % of publishing? I mean, you helped develop the song, you should get publishing. The amount can be negotiated but it should be something.
Great question. No I do not get publishing when I create drum parts on songs in recording sessions UNLESS the artist or band that has hired me offers me publishing. That does not usually happen. It's my job to create parts and inspire everyone in the room to create parts when I am hired to record a song.
@@KennyAronoffOfficial Yeah I think you should get a %. I get it if you show up and there’s a chart ready, but you’re helping with development of the song. And especially today when, other than me and about 8 other people, nobody buys albums/cd’s anymore. Ah well, my 2 cents. Lol. Thx for the response and good luck. 👍
