Its 2024 and Im still here for London Grammar
It's 2022...who's still a fan of this amazing group?
Now it's 2023 and how many are still fans of London Grammer?
OMG, now it's 2024...there're still amazing and still an awesome group!
I seen them at Glasgow O2 last November, there absolutely amazing live 😄
Music like this never gets old
Hahaha, noo, your comment was so sharp! I got to know about them a few weeks ago and I'm like "in love", hehe but I haven't listened to their CDs yet...would you recommend them?
Funny I had never seen the year of the publication.
Feel like the first song just came out. Just now hearing of her the past 3 years ago. Before of Covid seems a year ago...
Been a couple years since I first listened to this broadcast. It still gets to me. The moment Hannah starts singing in Interlude just melts my heart. What a beautiful voice.
April 2024 still banging..❤
2023, who's stilll absolutely loving this! fcking yes!
I’ve been a guitarist for over 29 years, and this guitarist has self-control and understands that less is more. His fingers touch the strings in a way that generates a unique sound. And, then we have that incredible vocals of Hannah that comforts me so much in the griefs of life that I could die right now and be held in the tenderness that transcends earthly suffering. All of the musicians are playing an integral part of this unique and impressive sound that touches us so deeply.
great insight ... it also suspiciously sounds to me like his instrument is perposly tuned a half pitch off in each octave... to match the discordant harmony in her trembling voice of an angel
I'm seven years late to this video. Better late than never !
Me too and never been happier to be so late.
Same here. I've started going through some of the KEXP performances I haven't listened to. Many pleasant surprises.
Me too
Moi aussi, belle expérience
better late than never
10 years later and this performance still gives me goosebumps!
A band whose fame is based on merit, not marketing.
Correct
CANNOT agree with you more.
Absolutely!!
Dunno, I always feel the guitarist comes up a bit short!
@@inocybenapipes4949 ha ha
"Strong" still makes me tear up, all these years later. Beautiful
The sound quality coming from this is unbelievably good. shout out to sound engineers at KEXP
So this is the performance that i keep coming back to. I've seen alot of others getting the views etc. Its the most pure and beautiful of all my favourites from them. I know there are so many beautiful performances from this angelic voice.. this is my go to, to truely hear it.
I am from small island Country Papua New Guinea and I love London Grammar Music...❤❤💯🔥🔥
Congratulations
@@cbennett196631 Thanks
One thing is certain. The United Kingdom pumps out some of the best musicians ever.
Indeed! History and a vast of CD's collection and 25 years of listening good music proof that
@@asosyalpicimamk apart from bang bang these songs are actually really good?
@@asosyalpicimamk How did he sell himself out? He still makes music like always before lmao, why do you care so much
iceland?
YES! I always thought so too
2023, still here. London Grammar I'm waiting for you in Dublin ❤
My dad passed away around two weeks ago... Just before he went to the hospital and went on a ventilator he told me this was his favorite song. Nothing thus far has made me cry so quickly, this is a truly beautiful song and it resonates with my thoughts and feelings going through this loss
I hope the song helps. There’s another lovely live version from the bbc. Worth hunting for
I'm so sorry. Mine just passed 2 months ago, but I didn't know his favorite song of late. Blessed that you can cherish his memories with the song he named, and relive moments in time with him every time you hear it.
I'm so sorry for your loss. I have lost both my parents, and I miss them always.
I'm sorry for your loss. I believe your father soul is in peace. It is nice to hear he did share to you his favourite song, you had the moment well spent with your dad. No worries and keep moving forward for him.
Lost my dad 5 years ago but still misses him ,
The pureness of her voice in close proximity must be a sound to behold. So powerful but beautiful craft work in how to play and sing a song.
Think i know what you saying. i can´t let this number alone without me. Close to perfect 🤗
I love Cheryl's reaction to the first track. In my opinion that is the highest honor one can recieve. Emotionally moving someone that way is a gift.
I quite agree (writing 4 years on). It really was an authentic moment in an industry awash in otherwise. Cheryl is the real deal. And she was--and is--right about LG. Gonna be hard to get tickets post-Covid. :)
I totally understood where she was coming from the first time I heard this.
💚💚💚🙏🙏🙏
Yeah, I would have had tears in my eyes and not tried to hide it. A goddess in the flesh singing right before you.
Was looking for this exact comment
Listening to this in 2023. Such a humility and genuin feeling in them all. Pure love
I came from 2376...we still listening to this great band...
The music and her voice just blow me away. I’m 70 and still rockin’, this brings tears to my eyes, oh wow! ❤️❤️❤️
The announcer knows how to do her job.
I like her the most of out all of the KEXP peeps.
Carlos A. Redondo Her? Oh, I thought it was Richard Dreyfus.
Carlos A. Redondo She's really good and really respectful. She's been there for some time and you can tell she's a bit more seasoned than the other people who introduce them (some of which are men) and she's just really good at being subjectively receptive, if that makes any sense. I think she's great.
" (some of which are men) " I'm curious about what you meant by this? Seems so out of place in your comment is all I feel like I'm missing something haha
I think he means that she responds like a human being and not just a scripted interviewer. There's a host at KEXP who, is probably a perfectly decent human being, but oh my god he always acts like he couldn't give any less of a fuck about the music, band, or their answers. Cheryl just seems so welcoming and invested whenever she hosts.
Its been 9 years... and still a Classic
HOW is this almost 10 years old?????????
@@Schnitz13 sorry, i fix it ;)
i always come back to this one!
Literally about to type this. I come back at least once a year. Beautiful recording there in Seattle.
@@Weeho_ so emotional!
2020 and I'm still lost in those blue eyes and that voice
who would'nt be
I discovered them in a Netflix series... a little too late. Rumors have said they've split up.
lol, can't believe this is 7 years old, just discovered them from this video tho
@@JOAOAMAROSILVA Rumours say I´m watching them live in July ;)
@@andrephx90 WHERE ????
Wow. 8 years ago.
Someone from 2021 still wondering why this AMAZING band is still not as known as they deserve?
They are very popular now :)
You're here commenting on a video from 8 years ago and the band is still active and touring. What kind of exposure do you think they're not getting?
beauty and splendor. art has no expiration date
They are touring the world, their songs can be heard in lots of tv shows. Even my ‘main stream pop only’ friends know strong and hey now.
To me, it looks like they are doing pretty well, still.
me
Her voice cuts through toxic family and partners, pain, fear, violence, disarray, loneliness, sense of injustice or disappointments, like a knife goes through butter. It reminds us that we, conscious probes of Galaxia, we the luminous beings willed ourselves into matter here on Gaia only for a little while, just a short while...
daniluchison I think she would consider this an immense compliment.
my house is cold and my butter is hard :( :(
Today's Tracey Thorn EBTG?
Dear Lord!
Really You need to get out more
Like pulling a blanket over you and feeling so warm inside and everything else just fades away.....
this woman can make me cry with her voice. Lyrics dont even matter, even if i understand them. She has the mystical - magical tone that instantly triggers deep emotions in me. I can't believe it
yes you're right, Cheryl Waters has a lovely voice. Jk i know you meant the singer.
So cool. I cannot find the right words to express my feelings but I really think that the most powerful, invisible message from her voice is hiding between any note and the next one.
Yes, she is on a level way above any singer I know. ( ) Insert any big name here.
I agree. So I feel.
Yes, this. Watched the orchestral arrangement of "Lord it's a feeling" earlier, and was crying before the end of it.
Holy God. Her voice sounds like a syren song. It's hypnotizing.
a what?
Watch out for those rocks...
Right?!!!! ...melting in California
Cole Mud siren* song
@@SorrentoShore are you california soil now? xD
she is to this day still the perfect human..
agreed!!
No, that would be our Blessed Mother, Mary most Holy. There is no other perfect human,
Knock it off with the dramatics. She is a killer singer..don't go overboard.
Lane arndt Amen, Lane!
The way Cheryl says "wow". She hears a lot of music and knows that it was something special.
3 more days until 2024 and this still hits
55 years of age now and I have heard the sweetest, best, unbelievable, effortless voice of all time and I have grown up listening to some of the greats male and female,I have even played with a couple.
Watched this video when it just came out. It still has the same impact. One of the best live recordings of any band out there, goosebumps every time.
yup. come back ever few months to marvel myself. chills everytime
Nine years later...EXACT same reaction. What an absolutely INCREDIBLE voice she has!!! Thank you KEXP for all the bands you have introduced me to, from live in-studio shows, to listening while traveling outside the country when I get homesick. Not sure why I never contributed but this year I finally became an amplifier by making monthly contributions.
2023. Always back for greatness 👍🏽
It's 2027, and we're still vibing to this music. Greatest band ever or what? Let's enjoy it quickly before the machines come for us again.
This is one of the very rare times you will never forget watching and hearing.
Still coming back to this performance year after year. Pure sonic gold.
September 2023 will be a decade since the release of this album. Astonishing.
And here we are ... Still can't believe it.
I wonder if she realizes how wonderfully healing her voice is? I feel blessed to hear it. 🙏🏼❤️
London Grammar is beautiful on record for sure, with Hannah's voice being like the cries from an angel, pure and hauntingly passionate. If you have ever loved someone the way she describes in Interlude and Flickers it must really touch your heart. But when you hear them live, the quality of their sound is incredible, and the power of her voice comes through so beautifully. They have only begun to touch their capabilities. They need a real drummer, a technically brilliant drummer to add to the power potential on stage. That will round out their sound and allow them to do much more!! Absolutely amazing!
+Andrew Mayes NO they need nothing! please shut your face.
+Andrew Mayes Yeah, you were pretty complimentary until you had to tweak things at the end, there. As soon as I reached that part, I immediately stopped considering what had preceded it.
Her voice makes me feel like I'm being pulled deep underneath her ocean wave, sinking slowly. But the pressure from all sides comfort me as I drift asleep.
Now if only I could see her live
😎
+CelestialWaffle Great way to put it. i've been fascinated by her voice ever since i first heard it. Haunting, rich, stunning
Starlight Visionary what a beautiful way to describe the affect of listening to her voice 👌😊
yes. This.
Hey now made me cry.. Again
So beautiful makes me cry
After all these years, I keep finding myself back here.
Me too. Seen them live in Glasgow last year absolutely mesmerising. Pure talent.
2020 and I'm barely discovering this. This band and her voice are so powerful. I'm late but I'm here!
Agree ... so you should also check out Aurora.
Listen to all of their music, so much of it is of immense power.
First i discovered AURORA.. which was quit frankly the biggest revelation of my life for me... and i‘m a musician for over 20yrs. Now this... both on KEXP. This platform is so dang important for education and art & expression alike
2021 for me
Better late than never! You have a lot to catch up on and new album on the way. Best band of this genre ever
I experienced the first 2 British Invasions, and Britain delivers, AGAIN!
Only one perfect word that comes to mind which describes her: LIONESS!
Cheryl Waters is a good old girl; she has dignity, empathy and a pleasant nature. She knew exactly how to talk to Hannah.
Perfection. So rare.
Now that is a vocal!
WHO in their sane mind would give this beautiful music a thumbs down? Please comment here so I can understand your lunacy
Hannah Reids voice is for me utterly spell bindingly beautiful. It really is.
I have grown to adore London Grammar....the more I listen the more empowered the band, lyrics and that voice make me.
Thank you Hannah and co and thank you KEXP 👏 x
2021 and ive just found these....brilliant
I from Spain, And I can't explain that I love her voice, and I love so much that no seld your body there only seld it her music.
This voice is just exquisite🥰
Good grace, the blonde opens her mouth and a 12 pound sledge hammer just struck my heart. Goosebumps all the way up to my scalp.
A damn siren walking among humans.
yes, she is a beauty! a golden voice like Joni Mitchell's.
Oh god I’ve been missing this for 6 years? Where is she

I was trying to just listen to the first song before going to bed but now i gotta see the whole thing through.

Every once in a while, I come across music from amazing human beings that literally makes me cry from joy
Max u not alone with tears and music
Joy of.being alive during covid times

7 years later and I still keep coming back to this
It was a rare good day, when I discovered this gem of a band..
beautiful music....its 2022 and i just discovered it,,,,thank you london grammar. thank you kexp for the broadcast, thank you youtube for bringing it to my home
Damn, I might be 7 years late... but I'm still glad to have discover them.
Are you kidding me? This is so insanely good. Perfection.
I'm very grateful a platform like UA-cam exists.
It takes me on Journeys and I am very rarely unhappy with the path.
7 years on from the upload and I'm glad I could experience this.
yah there are not a lot of people like you who apperciate the technology they have access to.
Blah blah blah
I'm a simple man. I see a mindful comment and click on the thumbs up button.
A voice so deep it touches you straight to the bottom of your soul.
I don't think I've ever seen Cheryl speechless after a performance. That's a testament to London Grammar's raw talent and power over the emotions.
Her voice make this band special and different.
This is the video I have met LG for the first. Still superb!
This is by no means the first time I come back to listen to these songs in a look! 😆amazing
This just won´t get old. Still in love after all these years.
I really love KEXP, I find myself returning to their amazing sessions again and again. London Grammar are yet another great band from the UK
If it's on KEXP, you know it's good.
And after all the years .. crying like a baby
with ❤from 2023
I mean who doesn't feel like the host in the room after that truly spellbinding performance of Hey Now. Wow it just sends chills and all 3 songs are truly effortless but powerful af.
STRONG = One of the most touching songs EVER 😍
Imagine driving in an open convertible through the night on an empty highway...and this voice starts coming out of your radio... virtually lifting you up into a black sky full of stars.
"Excuse me for a while" ...melting together with the universe.
I did! Driving along the sea through the South Carolina lowcountry in the rain. Mist and marshes and Hannah!!
Every time Im working alone i play this performance along with a few other of my favourite songs. A girl walked into my workplace once out of the blue while I had this blasting. She asked who's the artist and complemented on the song. I was so happy
I feel like my whole life just changed while listening to this performance!!!
Shes a stone cold fox with the voice of an angel.
TheSquishMovies ❤❤❤
I heard this band for the first time about 2 weeks ago and I am not kidding when I say I have listened to this album about 30 times straight threw. I haven't done this in a long time.
I found it right after it went on KEXP a year ago and have been watching it ever since! Ha its that good.
It's truly an amazing album. My friend said its to electronic for him? I can hear a lot of synthesizing but it's got a good mixture of instruments.
I heard Hey Now Song about 6 month in a Trance Mix of New World Punx, the last song!! When I heard this voice... I broke to cry... I rapidly check the playlist of the New World Punx set and look more about this band... Their music is a Eargasm!!
And I as well Sarys... just a beautiful album!
AS WELL FOR ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good band and Hannah Reid is an incredible singer. I literally get goosebumps when I listen to her sing!
This is pure beauty
I remember when Hey Now first came out I was like "Oh my god, this has got to be the best thing I've ever heard. WHY DON'T MORE PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT THIS?" I spoke too soon. Hope you guys continue to gain popularity.
I come back here from time to time to enjoy the look on the presenter's face at the end of the first song. Priceless.
Bonkers About Alice had a similar effect on me too! Amazing session.
I come to see the singers smile dear god
The type of voice i can never get tired of, going from low to high notes with such an elegance and some kind of haunting beauty in it.
This is the video that took me on the London Grammar journey I never want to end. Hannah is the best voice out of the UK since Annie Lennox
She's gorgeous
she's better than Lana Del Rey
indeed she is
Ap4uover9000 Not saying much. Lana isn't hard to beat at all. Lana is a 'wannabe' at best.
Ap4uover9000 I don't think that they can be compared, they have two completey different musical personalities, voice-wise perhaps - I think it's a matter of taste personally
It's unbelievable that this is recorded live. It sounds so flawless!
If love could be heard as a sound, this.. is it.
Hannah Reid's voice is - put equally as simple as it is perfect - one of the best in the world. Warm and comforting, yet also fragile. I could listen to her work all day!
There's another guy behind all this that was very good that day and that's the sound engineer ! The sound is VERY GOOD ! Good job !
But yes, it's true that the musicians and well ready.
As a sound engineer, I was thinking exactly the same (well, at least when I wasn't thinking of Hannah haha).
Is he responsible for the noise? It was there from the band's side the whole time. Take a listen during the silence at about 4:06. It's bad enough having it there and broadcasting it, but to then put it up on UA-cam without cleaning it up is beyond comprehension.
The tone is beautiful but I would have pushed the keys back so you could hear her voice more, and brought the the guitar up a bit.
The saddest part is that real music and unique voices like hers rarely get the recognition and fame like the generic pop
That's okay. She'll just be a little secret to the small amount of us who know what music actually is.
And the 5000 ppl they play to at festivals. Lol
Txt 07592372493
@@mde6006 5k people is still very low lol
Thats keep it our secret.
Radio play on loop ruins everything
Definitely one of the most powerful live sessions!
As much as I adore the singing, I cannot ignore the pure, beauty of the musicianship. This is a BAND. Rock on!
Hannah is flawless, her singing is perfect too.
she's actually such an angel. Interlude is the most beautiful song i have ever heard in my life
Oh my goodness... Just breathtakingly beautiful. That voice, the band, the sound and the sentiment that transpires from such beautifully crafted songs.. I was struck by the single 'Strong' when it was released, but sadly I'm only now just discovering how incredibly talented and gifted this band is. In the midst of what has been the worst two years of my life (true for everyone given the global pandemic), through all of the pain, greif, loss and sorrows and equally the highs, there is a song here for every emotion.
Thank you, London Grammar. This is all the therapy I need right here!
God bless music, and God bless you London Grammar, and anyone who might actually even read this...
Mental note: I'm not one to typically say "God bless"... Such is the effect of the music.
So true though,these guy,s are a spiritual experience,especially Hannah,s otherworldly voice.
Constantly amazed how 3 people created something so massive yet make it effortless.
speechless... too awesome
