Appreciate it.. yes.. definately. But from a commerical point of view, I don’t really get it. These are hard times for bands like this, since they don’t get any profit from live shows on tours. (I know, they don’t have the expenses either... but still). These concerts, with the additional string section and singers (they all need to get paid as well), the sound, the stage, the lights, the entire production... it must cost a fortune. Last sunday I watched a Birdy concert, tickets costing something like €18. Which I thought was a fair amount and I gladly paid for it.
@@christopher1800 Yes, your absolutely right. Musicians lost a lot of money without tours and concerts. But at least they are getting some amount of money from their UA-cam video ads and purchases from their albums and singles for now. On the Brightside, they are starting their touring in August. In parts in UK and Australia. Then USA in 2022 as everything starts to get better.
@Christopher On the basis of about 5 mins of this performance, I will probably buy the CD, so if musicians have the confidence that their offer is what people want, then a free concert like this makes sense. Personally, I prefer to watch a band playing live rather than watch a music video ... it reminds of what we are missing and what we will regain.
@@jonathansmith5495 musicians made near to nothing from CDs sellings, tho. Most of it, specially in this times, goes to record labels.

Only "34" here. I finally found someone who shares the same ideology: The older you get, the more music you can have access to, hope you reach 90! :) All those "back in my days music was so much better" just missing their childhood. I listen to so many different kind of music, some would call my an idiot with no music preferences. I just like good music whatever it is.
@@bencepolyak980 yes, you are absolutely right. There is an ocean of good music out there and if you got enough time to cross it you will have many happy moments. And you will find artists to follow for many years.

It's astounding how Hannah sounds the same in the album as in the live show. Such an amazing voice, in an equally awesome album. 3 albums, 3 masterpieces. Thank you very much for the live performance.

As much praise as the performers deserve, I also think we owe so much love the sound engineers and mixers making the audio sound great even through youtube compression.
In my opinion live performance of "Lord It's a Feeling" was even better than the album version. Outstanding.

Absolutely agree - I said exactly the same thing watcing this live last night - Hannah just looked so confident and comforftable and her performance was incredible!
I think she has come to realize how good she is.
After hearing Lose Your Head on radio bought all 3 albums right away. I was given the option of buying tickets for the tour. I live in Birmingham and could only get tickets to Nottingham. Bear in mind I come from a background of The Prodigy, Led Zeppelin and other rock music. Went to the show with my wife. I am a 50 year old 15 stone man. When Hannah came on stage and started to sing it took all my strength not to burst into tears. She is an amazing singer and touches your soul in ways that you cannot imagine. Over a week later hearing Hannah sing at anytime I still well up. They are absolutely amazing live and my wife and I would like to thank them for an unforgettable experience. Keep your Adele. Hannah is a once in a lifetime singer. Must be seen live to be believed. Thank you London Grammar.

From a sound Engineering perspective, what blows my mind on their performance is the pure accuracy of sound that these three plus one individuals generate in single run-through. A real testament to how hard they practice and hone their craft. Such an incredibly beautiful body of work even since they formed.
Sure hope they are around for many years to come. Their evolution is fierce and can only be compared to groups like Radiohead where they just seem to be more and more diverse as they move through time.

I was totally into it too, and in between times when I wasn't completely carried away for seconds, I thought about how precise, unbelievably spot-on, and tremendously well-coordinated every single part intertwined. The three and all involved deliver a fantastic journey that impressed me throughout.

It’s crazy…. I’ve watched almost all of her live videos and I’ve never once seen a negative comment. Not one. Their performances are just so far beyond most artists nowadays, you can’t help but be blown away

Loved the live version of Talking, America and I need the night mostly. And one of really pleasant thing was not only to listen but also watch who and when plays the piano and other instruments. Hope you'll enjoy the UK tour and stay safe.

I almost can't believe this is a live performance, it sounds so clean and yet organic...IMHO better then 99% of meticulously mixed albums of other musicians...I am deeply impressed

Only recently discovered London Grammar, introduced by my daughter, completely blown away by the music. The purity of the sound is incredible certainly one of the best bands to emerge in ages. Simply stunning!

Gonna watch the whole thing on my next day off and for now I only watched America as it's my favourite on the album. It just made me cry, it's so, so beautiful. Thank you, London Grammar. Your music helped me a lot in 2020 and the new album truly feels like a gift.

I also loved America immediately, but after watching the album a few time, I ended up loving pretty much all of the songs (only Lose my head and Baby it's you aren't really my taste). The album is such an awesome gift, it's therapeutic really

The power of the end of that concert, after Hannah's thanks, is immense. I have listened to this a number of times but this time particularly, the missing audience response as it finished really hit me.

This is the second time in my 59 years of life that I have heard a perfect liveperformance. Last time was "Dead Can Dance:Towards The Within". This is perfect too!
"Lord It's a Feeling" and "All My Love" got me quite emotional, admittedly. Never felt anything like the emotions I felt when they played those two songs! But the hunger in the band seen in "Talking" was exceptional. As Hannah says, they definitely got carried away, Lol. Great performance of the three strongest tracks for sure. And of course, the entire album is a feat of hard work. Stellar work, stellar performance!
