Thank you so much Dave for acting so quickly to my request, it's been very helpful for you to guide people who take the btec applied science route and say to them this is where it will lead to, for people like me it has given a path/motive to succeed in this course. I'm now considering to do either podiatry 👣 optometry or orthoptics 👀, for now I'm leaning towards orthoptics.
By no means is btec bad I had the grades to do A levels but did btec and ended up getting into a Russel group Univeristy one of the best in the country to do accounting and finance with a placement year if I was to do a levels for the same course I would have needed 3 As so no regret !!!! :)
@@God-hk7zn yh thanks mate literally got a 5 in maths thought I was going to fail I'm going Exeter they are very nice to btec students they think AAA is the same as DDD for most of there courses and have high acceptance rate.
@@-ZED- I was thinking of doing some sort finance or economics degree,. I’m doing history graphics and btec science rn. It’s good to hear that people can do what you’re doing. Are most Russel group unis like that then?
Thanks alot. So if I want to go into medicine can I do Level 2 Btec applied sciences alongside English and maths GCSE at age of 18 and then after getting best grades can I go into a levels or btec level 3 at the age of 19
Personally I aspire to enter a field of physics, I couldn't do A-levels as my GCSE grades were hindered by my then undiagnosed ADHD, I'm hoping that BTEC will be an amenable entry requirement?
Im currently finishing up my final assignments for applied science Diploma (double graded). I have applied through ucas to do physics with a foundation year however and have gotten offers for three universities ( I do have good predicted grades those being D*DA,with my third a level being Psychology). Some universities rejected my application saying that I don't have evidence of maths skills required for physics. This for me isn't a problem but may be something to work on before you Finnish your personal statement!! Good luck on your journey I hope this helped
i passed my maths and english and want to do astronomy and i needed a-level physics and maths for it but wasn't able to get into a-levels so i am doing btec science right now. . . . any advice?

University entrance is based on points A level A* = 56 A = 48 B = 40 etc.. BTEC D* = 56 D = 48 M =40 etc.. Entry requirements vary a lot depending on the university and the course You need to do your own research, better still go on an open day and talk to people The Applied Science teachers at your college should be the first to ask
Hi, I’m currently about to complete my GCSES and looking at going to sixth form. I want to do criminology and psychology but I don’t know if I should do applied science or biology - I want to be a forensic scientist or psychologist , specifically a CSI. Should I do Biology or Applied Science ?
thank you, i also got an offer at another school A level maths biology and engineering. Will these subjects give me better chances what offer do you think I should take? @@btecappliedsciencehelp

either would get you there.

Applied science can get you there. I’m in my second year and originally I wanted to become that but my mind changed
