I am a Brazilian biologist. I remember watching this movie, repeatedly, when I was five, six years old. It had huge impact on my life, fascinated me like no other thing. Thirty years has passed, I'm still fascinated and still get my mind blown away by this movie. The difference is now I work with these things, which I love deeply. Thank you, Steven, and everyone involved.
So nice to go back and talk about a great movie with all the sludge of content coming out these days. You should do more retroactive reviews of good older films.
@@workingjellyfish mr jellyfish aren't you going to discuss about the now trending soon to crash and burn snow white live adaptation? Seems to be another land dweller abomination worthy of discussion.
I’m VERY disappointed that there was no mention of Spaz Williams or the part he played in the cgi. Dennis Moran took a LOT of credit that was t his to take. The visual wonder of this movie should NEVER be mentioned without including Williams.
You can see Kathleen Kennedy's signature moves fighting their way to the surface through Dr. Satler. It kind of sucks watching the movie now and seeing all the war of sexes rhetoric she used. Let's also ignore how badly it messed up from its source material
The practical effects in this movie are fucking god tier

The Jurassic team did wonderful work, glad to see it had such of positive impact on folk like yourself.
Thank you for this. I saw this movie in 1993. Always mixed feelings already distrusting Hollywood for destroying storytellers and science

If there is an appetite for it, absolutely,
The Jellyfish is back!!!
I loved this movie, holds up so well compared to nowadays.
Same, it’s still a high bench mark that many films don’t clear.
LOL, I wasn’t expecting that Russian “Treasure Island” meme. Made my day!
I love the pace not constant cuts in video! well done
Thanks mate, I take things at a casual drift.
Quality video, boss.
i miss the time when movies genuinely tries to be an art, not cashgrab or preach all the time.
Agreed, the art of filmmaking is becoming a lost one.
