I now own the shoreline gold Vintage T that is on the wall behind Grover during the interview. What an amazing guitar! Just can't rave enough about the quality, sound, and playability.
Grover Jackson is for sure a HUGE FUCKING LEGEND and a GREAT MAN!!! ... I once contacted him 'cause about one of a Jackson I have with his signature from the early 80's , he was so kind to answer all my questions, really a lovely man!
Grover is so humble and down to earth. Also love the fact all possible pickup covers are included when buying a set, all manufacturers should do that. Fantastic interview!
I was lucky purchasing a 2nd hand Washburn elec guitar designed by Grover Jackson at the time he was designing guitars for them. Beats my other guitars in comfort and sound
Wonder if Friedman would offer a Kahler option for the bridge. Also wonder if we will see a 24 fret model or would that be too much into Jackson territory.
The Metro-D is a newer model and I am finding some discrepencies in the information available regarding the scale length of that particular model. I've seen it stated it is 25.5¨ as well as 24.75¨. What is the scale length of the Metro D?
Can I have one that hasn't been ran over by a truck? I hate relic guitars I'll wear it out myself thanks. If I wanted a beat ass guitar I'd go to a pawn shop.
Ha ha! I know you can order a barely aged Friedman guitar (similar to a Fender Journeyman Relic). Friedman basically a custom shop, so you can order a guitar the way you want it to be. Not sure about 100% NOS gloss finishes though. That's not really their thing. //cheers, Kris

Grover Jackson is the an absolute legend
He reminds me of Seymour Duncan on another level

Greg Koch in the background checking out the Friedman guitars.
Great interview! People should interview Grover more
just look at the Tone Talk channel where he goes through a lot of his stuff
I love my Friedman Vintage T but I did need to swap out the P90’s for Beefier bare knuckle ones but now have a perfect guitar! Love it!
Grover is a legend as well in the Atlanta Area ...he used to gig around here ...before he left for Californie !!!
Grover has been my hero since 1985. \m/
That black burst set neck is calling my name!

Do they make the Cali without the Floyd anymore? Thx FYI they used to.
Can I order one with stainless steel frets?
Never got the point of having locking tuners when the guitar has a FR with a locking nut. Maybe it's just me. Still I like the look of the Friedman's
It reinforces the tuning stability, especially if you are abusing the hell out of the trem system.
Easier string changes maybe?
Andrew G Very true.
I wish Grover was my grandfather...is that weird?
Oh, the next copy stuff.

So you have to pay an upcharge for a guitar that's not beat up? Pass.
Brick Breaker I think it’s usually the other way around.
