Discovering this channel only today. 💯👌🏻 very happy with this discovery You made some very good points + Mark Manson is also one of my favourite authors :)
I came from instagram, because I really love your content! I've honestly never thought about this before, but I will take this into account from now on!
This was a really interesting video to watch and to see your thoughts on the topic of motivation vs discipline. I think that the first step to getting things done is always being motivated. Like you said, we will not feel happy and we won't get anywhere if we are not motivated. However, there does come a point where we have to be disciplined in order to actually get things done. I know personally that there have been times when I've told myself that I'm not motivated enough to study, but that then becomes an excuse and its only down to me to actually get started and study. Therefore once you've discovered how to motivate yourself, it is a case of being disciplined enough to sit down and studying. From experience, I can say that it actually is not so bad once you get started studying. My conclusion is that I don't think that one is more important than the other, since both motivation and discipline have different roles to play when it comes to studying. It is a combination of both motivation and discipline that leads to getting things done but each individual may find it easier to be either disciplined or motivated. Personally, I think that I need to work on being more disciplined rather than motivated, in order to become better at actually getting things done.

As I said, I don’t have all of the answer but I think it’s an important thing for us all to question for ourselves

I definitely agree with what you have said here. Both are important for exactly the reasons you have said.
