I would have gone during the lockdown.
Like the catchphrase! Also like the fish room. I have a 20 gallon with a betta and some minnows, a roughly 2k gallon pond I dug with a largemouth and bluegill my son caught and a perch I caught, and a 110 gallon feed trough with a bunch of goldfish that i feed to the bass. Do not have the room/opportunity for a fish room like yours, so keep up the great work! It's fun to see what you're doing down in that basement of yours!

Been thinking of trying an indoor pond at some point too. This video gave a lot of insight towards that, looks great too.
I just put this (maintaining fish tanks) into perspective and realized that your hobby takes a ton of work! You must have put so many man hours! Thank you for sharing.

Awesome video. Got me thinking of ordering one of those stock ponds instead of a pool. And I'd keep the girls sign off, super adorable!
I would HIGHLY recommend a stock tank over the pool. Right now the stock tanks are much cheaper too. More durable, longer lasting, less chance of popping!

I would add a nice thick glob of silicon sealant around the drain valve as back up to the Teflon tape and threaded drain plug.
It's cool to see a local fish keeper making videos like this. I work at Nebraska Aquatic Supply and it would be cool to pick your brain sometime

i just got a 300 gallon stock pond today and strapped it to the top of a chevy cobalt!!

What do you use as a light? The lights in the room or something else? I have a 150 rubbermaid pond and an led on it but there is a terrible reflection.
I had the leak problem with mine didn't test it was so excited fixed it of course but next time I will definitely take the extra step
Adding that plumbers tape was an easy fix for me luckily!

Personally I think that it's better then a pool pond. It wont wear out like they do and it's a lot harder to end up with any holds it.

Ive been staring at my 300 gal stock tank exactly like this since winter and i cant afford a high dollar filtration system im wanting to do something like you have here for temp use but mb double up on the sponge filters because its going to be more permanent i have two blue gill and a yellow perch and soon will have a cat fish that is about 3 inches long joining the tank possibly not decided yet they are growing and need room tremendously my question is what kind of air pump should i use in my 300 gal tank and do you think it will be enough to filter and add air to the water? Id appreciate the help if you could

What Aerator are you using for that? I’m buying the same tank and putting it in my backyard but don’t know what aerator to get because it will be outside in the weather.

Damn it’s like Christmas morning seeing an SC video in my recommend!!! Be careful keeping yourself musky with tank mates, especially catfish. I lost my last musky because he tried to eat a channel cat that was nearly the same size. Problem was the catfish spine got caught in its Gill so it couldn’t spit out the catfish and perished. Sucks too, bc I just got home too late to save him by minutes. Can’t wait for more vids. Do one on a big filtration set up for pool pond. I’m setting one up soon as I can finish painting my basement.
That's good to know!! Right now the bullhead has the size advantage but I'll move him out of here soon!
