Hey you should tell the story of Condemed Witch. I can't find all the cards but basically the cards are the story of a girl who just keeps getting cursed objects until she eventually becomes a witch. This video was really fun, but as a self-styled yugioh lore connoisseur, I wanted to mention a few points where your extrapolations actually conflict with the canon we do have. I’m not trying to hate on you here - I love it when anyone tries to get people into yugioh lore - but, in the nicest way possible, I thought you’d like to know that your video could’ve benefitted from a bit more research. I’ll be mentioning some points where canon cements a story that’s different from your theories, and some other points about theories on cards for which we don’t have canon. So with that said... • Coach Goblin’s story happens a bit differently from how you have it. He starts off his story with his fans nicknaming him the Strongest Man Alive and thinking he‘s sure to be the next champion, but one day he has a breakdown and disappears to someplace nobody can find. Presumably, that place is the Different Dimension, as you intuited. In the D.D., he gets to know a lot of people. He’s got a father-son relationship with D.D. Warrior, and apparently D.D. Warrior Lady is his type. He’s Crazy Beast’s trainer, of course, and he takes care of Different Dimension Dragon, who’s his son-figure’s pet. It’s unclear if all this happens before or after he becomes Second Goblin, but when he does, Giant Orc *and* Des Kangaroo are his students. Through them, he hopes to vicariously live out his dream of becoming the champion, so he trains them harshly. Des Kangaroo is his most promising student, and Continuous Destruction Punch is Kangaroo’s prized special technique. (Source: Master Guide 1) • Gagagigo and Freed don’t just have a one-off fight where all that weird dimension shit happens; they’re actually rivals with over 50 battles between them. Freed’s rivalry with Gagagigo wasn’t what made him such a great general, though; that was actually the result of his time as a wanderer, and the very goal. (Source: Master Guide 1) • We don’t have any hard canon on his later encounters with Gogiga Gagagigo and Gagagigo the Risen, but the reigning theory is that they’re kind of a redemption arc for Gagagigo, and then a later complication on Dimensional Barrier which we expect to develop further with future card releases. And, as you say, nobody knows much about Freed’s dark form. • Goblin of Greed starts his story super filthy rich, as a person who looks down upon the peasantry. Upstart Goblin is literally him throwing money at riffraff because he can. The Dark Scorpions robbed him once while he was rich. All the cards depicting him stealing or swindling happen as a direct result of his rich lifestyle being upended by an economic crash (Bubble Crash, Heavy Slump). He becomes a thief and a swindler for a while because of this, and he works jobs that humiliate him and he hates it. I know I’m mentioning a lot of things you got wrong here, so I do want to mention that all your extrapolations of his schemes and such are perfectly valid interpretations, as we don’t have any hard canon on most of those card artworks. His eventual emolument at the Dark Factory is a direct result of a change of heart that he has, so at least all his tribulation turns him good. That is presumably how his story ends, though. (Source: Master Guide 1) • Marauding Captain’s story with Inpachi is weird. He’s sent out to gather materials for research on body reconstruction, and that’s where he chops up Inpachi. This research is Kozaky’s, and is how Woodborg Inpachi is created. The success of that experiment is what drives Gagagigo to go to Kozaky for body modification. (Source: Master Guide 2) • Anyway, Marmiting Captain is also super weird, as are some of the details surrounding Motivating Captain. They reflect more of yugioh lore’s silly side, where even though it has established canon, it doesn’t take itself very seriously. • Everything you’ve said about both Warrior Lady and Sangan is either canon-compliant or perfectly fair as a theory, so nothing to say here lol. • The Array of Revealing Light actually depicts Grepher and his army being supported by ally Spellcasters. Most of his future forms are canonically direct results of his choice of which path to go down on Paths of Destiny. (Source: Master Guide 2) There are lots of theories like yours about the different dimension and the fourth wall, and many of them interact with the not-taking-themselves-that-seriously aspect of yugioh lore. • The King and the Tyrant are some of the lores I’ve somehow just never gotten around to cementing any theories for, so I can’t even help you out there. • Oh god I knew Gagagigo would be your #1 because of course. Honestly, most of what you have on him is right, and anything that conflicts with canon, I’ll direct you to the Master Guides to find out, because fuuuuuck writing it all out rn. Again, fun video, hope my extreme nerdiness was able to help, because I just couldn’t stand the idea that people would be misinformed about yugioh card lore. Okay byyye.
So as a kid going through hundreds of cards a disclvered that this green lizard was in so many seemingly unrelated cards and had a story behind him and it was that day that gagagigo became my favorite cards. And I was fairly relieved when gagagigo the risen was released cause I thought that it meant my lizard friend was finally himself again. Then I watched this video and find out that no, he just go another power up and is still mindlessly seeking power. So are you saying, that I was right, and gagagigo the risen is the redemption of my long lost lizard friend?
B4 theMouse That’s the reigning theory, for a few reasons. 1. His artwork and name give a more streamlined, heroic feel than the increasingly mechanical and garbled artworks and names he kept getting adding on. 2. If we consider the names and artworks of “Memory of an Adversary” and “Oath of Companionship”, they seem to be references to the times when Gagagigo and Freed were good-natured rivals, and Gagagigo and the Captain were allies. 3. Freed and the Captain look pretty distressed about the events on Dimensional Barrier. There’s more, but those are the three main ones I can think of rn. Gagagigo was always one of my favorite monsters, too, exactly because I saw him on so many cards. 💖
I appreciate all the work that went into this research! Since the video covered 10 storylines that interacted at time, I did have to cut down some of the stories so the video wouldn't be too long, but even so, I probably wouldn't have noticed some of these details even if I dedicated a full video to just one of these storylines. I did try to avoid any sources analyzing the card lore since I wanted to figure it out on my own to add my own twist to stories like when playing before the internet made it easier to figure out these storylines, but having your guides definitely helps some of the more ambiguous parts.
This was by far way interesting than I anticipated it to be. You just helped 10 year old me figure out a lot of the backstories to some of my favorite cards. I’d definitely be interested in a second video on this series!
Thanks! Based on the reception, I'll probably get to a Volume 2 at some point. I do a video on palette swap monsters planned for the near future first, so stay tuned for more Yugioh videos!
To sum up Goblin of Greed's story, he was once a rich man, money was no object to him as seen with his favorite pastime by sparing as little money as possible to the poor. Things were great until the stock market crashed (Yeah, Duel Monsters has a stock market, try to keep up), with the crash all of the goblin's money went up in smoke. He was forced to beg for money as he had little in terms of friends or work experience, detesting this life drove him to eventually steal a Jar of Greed from a merchant's wagon and a Pot of Greed from another merchant's shop. These thefts would haunt him though as it turns out that the Pot of Greed he stole contained the Spirit of the Pot of Greed which attacked him and started stealing everything the goblin owned. Fortunately, the Spirit of the Pot of Greed was managed to be sealed back into the Pot of Greed, unfortunately though, the Pot of Greed and Jar of Greed shattered. The goblin quickly gathered the pieces and attempted to put them back together, afterwards he attempted to sell the reassembled Pot of Greed to a wealthy man, which wasn't successful as the handle broke off. The wealthy man then realized that the Pot of Greed that the goblin had was in fact his own that was stolen from a merchant that works for him. Figuring that the goblin also stole his Jar of Greed, he ordered the goblin to return them, to which the goblin attempted to restore both the Pot of Greed and Jar of Greed to their former glory, but once again was unsuccessful. To pay for his crimes, the goblin was sent to the town jail. He eventually served his sentence and was freed but decided to move to another town to avoid the stigma of being a thief, hiding away in a merchant's wagon to avoid a forceful checkpoint. Making it to the new town, he would attempt various get-rich-quick schemes, including gardening (Which failed due to his allergies) and snake charming (Which failed due to his lack of skill), he eventually settled on working in the Factory of Mass Production. Work was smooth and he did work his way up the ranks, but after a bit of housekeeping realized that he would never get anywhere near the fortune he once had. He decided to give begging another shot and spent what money he earned on a Pot of Duality, which had its handle almost immediately snap off, aka he was scammed and the merchant refused a refund. Having no money again, the goblin hatched a scheme to steal from the factory that he worked at, breaking into the vault in the factory to coincidentally find a Pot of Greed inside. He would sell off the Pot of Greed to a collector, finally earning a decent amount of money, not near the amount he had but it was a start. Unfortunately for the goblin, the Dark Scorpion bandit group arrived at the village and began pillaging, catching the goblin in their attack and stealing all of his money. Yeah, the Goblin of Greed maybe has WAY too much story.
Probably the most interesting Top 10 video I've ever watched on UA-cam, because at least it wasn't completely about opinions and ranking. I got short stories out of something I completely dismissed when I used to play the game, and have refound my love of the character designs even more.
Thank you! Glad you liked it. While the ranking aspect of a top ten list is fun, I don't like to explain rankings in every video since some topics are more about the actual entries, rather than explain why one thins is better than another.
At first I wasn't very interested since I felt there couldn't be much to it. Oh boy was I wrong. It is really astounding to see these cards have so many connections. Honestly I totally thought they were just random images of goblins and whatnot but that could be of course because I never so most of these cards in the video :D So for me it was very educational, entertaining and eye-opening. Man I wish hearthstone had some more connections between cards.
This is absolutely crazy. After playing this game since I was a kid on and off I always saw monsters reused but never thought that they might have cool lore.
Not even a honourable mention for Dog Marron (super sad) and the spirit charmers 😭 But awesome video otherwise thx for bringing these Card Lores to more people!
Wow, I knew there were some cards that told stories in their artwork, but this is crazy. I always wondered what Gagagigo and Giga Gagagigo's lore was going on about with his destiny and lost redemption. Never made the connection between him and Altar For Tribute and Compulsory Evacuation Device. Very awesome video. Now to watch the next part.
As a child Gagagigo was one of my favorite cards because of Tag Force 1, since he was on the water starter deck that I kept using the whole time. I liked he's design a lot and he he had really cool stats (I was used to PC's Yugi The Destiny back then), so I kinda act like he was to me what Dark Magician was to Yugi or Neos was to the Jaden, my "key card", the card I'm known for, cause as I kid I didn't want to copy the cards from the anime that I thought were cool, something like "No, that his card, I wanna have my own". I did that with a lot of random monsters with cool designs back then (Neo Aqua Madoor, Fiend Megacyber, Ultimate Baseball Kid, Gaia The Fierce Knight since Yugi didn't give him enough love, etc.), but I believe Gagagigo was the first, all that without ever knowing all the cool story, I knew the other forms but never paid attention to the flavor text. It's so cool knowing that "my guy" is way cooler than I thought it was.
Thanks to this video!! I never knew there was a goblin monster that can add upstart goblin to the hand! I now run scrounging Goblin in my sky striker deck and two upstart goblins! In master duel
This has been the single most interesting video I've seen in a very long time. Never did I imagine these kind of stories were told through multiple cards!
I would LOVE a mini-series where each episode (or every couple of episodes depending on how complex the specific story is) focuses on a different card's backstory.
I don't know why I laughed about "classic goblin" but the way you said it made me laugh XD , and good job on the video it kinda made sense because of the artwork .
Thank you! There was a lot of cards to research, so I'm glad you liked it. The goblin joke was partially a callback to a previous video I made where I spoke about how Eliza from Tekken has a tendency to fall asleep randomly, followed by me saying "classic Eliza" with the laugh track.
MrTopTenList the best part was about the king and the revelation , and the artwork for the king (jp) reminded me of a story about two thieves that made invisible cloths to the king (spoilers) it turned out that two thieves were liars and stol all of his gold and goods and the king was laughed at by the townspeople (because he was topless or only his underwear)
One thing that should be mentioned is that when gagagigo the risen is taken into the new dimention marauding captain has his hands on the dimentional barrier in a way that looks like he's not too happy gagagigo's being taken away. Along with this Gagagigo the risen doens't look angry but upset that he's being taken away, and is reaching out like he's reaching out to a friend for help. The name he gains involving him being risen also implies that Captain got through to him and that he's actually changed his ways and became a good person again. Even Freed looks suprised and unhappy this happened to Gagagigo the risen.
03:33 I think it was the cross around his neck. In Japan they don’t care but that sort of stuff doesn’t go over well just look at exodia and monster reborn.
I know this is about a year late, but the evil version of Freed is referencing Memory of an Adversary's second effect (which takes control of that monster during your opponent's next End Phase). So after Gaga showed up, he took control of Freed somehow and made him dark.
Gagagigo and Eria... Favorite cards lore wise, and I think they look really cool, they were the first cards I saw to even have such a deep lore. This video is rather interesting to see how all the lore ties together... It's a shame I don't like how the TCG currently is though. As they do still put a tremendous amount of effort into the lore of the cards.
Thanks! I have another Yugioh video planned in the near few about palette swap monsters, but I think I'll do a Volume 2 of this in the future based on the positive feedback
Great yugioh video, I personally love the Gagagigo story, I would like to see if they continue with the story of Sangan. Ps: what about top 10 yugioh monsters that could fit on a fighting game ?
Thanks! Sounds like a cool video idea, too! There are so many monsters that would work, it seems like the possibilities are endless with only ten slots in a video like that.
well, we can make a top 10 based on the monsters that would represent each season of yugi as well very known monsters in the competitive game, for DM dark magician would be a control type character (like yugi with his duel style) projectiles and teleport, instead of blue-eyes we could use the Maiden with Eyes of Blue that summons the blue-eyes for certain attacks and finally Relinquished (or thousand eyes restrict) could be the Zangief of the game, absorbing the enemy and projectiles in different ways to generate tons of damage
Slayerthecrow, as soon as I read this, a million ideas popped into my head: Swamp Battle Guard vs Battle Ox, Six Samurai Nanishi vs Flame Swordsman, Junk Warrior vs Machina Soldier, and so on, and so on, and so on! Oh? I have to go write some stuff down!
This video is so deep thought provoking. Loved your passion for the old masters. Can you make a backstory video of New Archetypes too like World Legacy?
I'm particularly interested in how it seems some of these stories had their endings released a long time before some of the middle portion. The goblin's work in the factory, for example, I remember seeing long before some of the other stuff, though it could be in part because there are tons of cards I haven't seen.
Love this video. You didn't mention my personal favorite background story. It's only a few cards from what I can tell. It involves "white magician pikeru and her step sister" ebon magician curran" who suddenly appeares to place her claim on the thrown in "a rival appears" both born with a right to the thrown, but only one can. To settle the dispute and determine who is more worthy of inheriting the kingdom they have "the trial of the princesses" from there two cards depict the possible outcomes in "Princess Pikeru" and "Princess Curran". You choose your princess lol
The whale at 12:00 could be reference to hitchhikers guide to the galaxy where a whale basically appears just out of nowhere up in the air, falls down, realises it's own existence and shortly after that dies. Maybe a bit farfetched but still quite cool if true
Oh boy, if you want a story worth covering, check out the Duel Terminal storyline. It covers three wars fought by successive generations of archetypes, with the first gen consisting of the likes of Flamvell, Ice Barrier, Mist Valley, and Naturia, among others, and each successive event adds new archetypes to the mix. At least, it does until the Ice Barrier does a stupid and releases Trishula, which effectively results in the first of three resets. I suggest you look into it for the full story, but it is quite the grand tale.
I've also kinda noticed some references of some monsters to Berserk manga.... THAT'S SO AWESOME - lol, notice how YT creepingly has Berserk related videos to this topic -, for example Dai Grepher is obviously Guts Warrior Lady is like a blond version of knight Caska - they hated each other in the manga as well at some point - Witch of Black Forest is post eclipse messed up in the head Witch Caska Dark Lucius is obviously Guts in his berserk armor and there's even a card that resembles Corkus when he was willing to kill Guts
As a current YGO Tabletop player, Im happy/sad to inform you guys Sangan was freed off the banlist...AFTER HE GOT NERFED XD. Thats Konami for ya. He sees no competitive play now. Blame Tour Guide Of The Underworld during the Zexal ERA.
To add to it: at the time he was banned there were quite the amount of monster with either good stats for their cost (back then: Summoned Skull) or decent stats and a good effects (Jinzo) that had less than 1500 Defense. Also the reason why witch didn't get banned because there weren't that many great mons for her.
I assume that it is because, at least with your example, they have other restriction. Well that and sometimes the ban-list just straight up doesn't make sense. Sometimes they ban cards for archetypes that very few people play. And the later usually is for a reason.
What is your personal or professional relationship with Software Agent? / Software Agents? 1:54 actually there is a dethroned King of the Abyss spell or trap card?
AT from Software Agents is a friend who I met through a different friend from college. I started my Top Ten List series in 2012 and AT and Sam (the Agents) made their channel in 2013. When AT saw I was making videos themed around video games, he offered to provide footage for videos if I spoke about games he had. I ended up getting a capture card in 2018, so I'm able to do a lot of the footage now (mostly the fighting games) and AT and NegetiveX (my cohost) provide the rest. So we're two separate channels that work on our own stuff, but he can capture footage that I can use when he works on his own videos, most of which I'm unaffiliated with, outside of the few that I've co-commentated in.
dude, yeah I didn't know all of the storylines but if you (or anyone) are fascinated by lore and that, you can check out the Master guides, they are all translated in the wiki. There's whole storylines behind entire archetypes, like six samurai, Gishki, lore info on Dark World and the biggest one is probably about Naturia's tree, which involves the entirety of the Naturias, the Qli, the Infernoid, the Shaddol, Tierra the Source of Destruction, possibly even Zefras and many more! :D

His eventual emolument at the Dark Factory is a direct result of a change of heart that he has, so at least all his tribulation turns him good. That is presumably how his story ends, though. (Source: Master Guide 1)
• Marauding Captain’s story with Inpachi is weird. He’s sent out to gather materials for research on body reconstruction, and that’s where he chops up Inpachi. This research is Kozaky’s, and is how Woodborg Inpachi is created. The success of that experiment is what drives Gagagigo to go to Kozaky for body modification. (Source: Master Guide 2)
• Anyway, Marmiting Captain is also super weird, as are some of the details surrounding Motivating Captain.
Quires You’re quite welcome. :)
That’s a little rude ....
Gagagigogogua end is a happy ending. Just look how proud warrior he is in his xyz form
3:33 the emperors new Clothes
My goodness. I knew many cards were connected, but these are entire massive sprawling sagas. Awesome!
Would you consider doing a YuGiOh video about yuGio cards with strange effects or strange text?
Video is old but I enjoyed the details!
Some cards bring back memories when I had them and played with real cards lol.
It's never too late to comment! Glad you enjoyed it
Dark King of the Abyss is on a new Card ! Called “Dark Ruler No More” where he is dethroning the dark ruler !
And the card is amazing! The feeling of "dethroning" a Dragon Link board from the tournament's 1st place is soooo freaking out of sanity!
18:00 when gagagigo and captain teamed together against invader of darkness, aren't they the ones in the art of two-pronged attack?
Nice observation
The D.D. storylines are really long as well, the Sand Gambler is D.D. Survivor btw. They don't show everything, but a decent amount.
- Mind Blown -
Probably the most interesting Top 10 video I've ever watched on UA-cam, because at least it wasn't completely about opinions and ranking.
Glad I could make the experience enjoyable!
United Potatoes the Duel Termina story its better
United Potatoes and the fact that the card effects in each story relate to one another in some way makes it more interesting
Perfect bedtime story compilation for sure! I loved the stories and visual to follow along
Quite a full filling video to watch knowing that there is a story behind all these cards. What about awakening of the possessed gigabyte?
This is absolutely crazy. After playing this game since I was a kid on and off I always saw monsters reused but never thought that they might have cool lore.
Not even a honourable mention for Dog Marron (super sad) and the spirit charmers 😭 But awesome video otherwise thx for bringing these Card Lores to more people!
I believe Dog Marron gets mentioned in another video
This is definitely my favourite video on UA-cam
I had no clue that these cards were so well planned out in terms of stories and art, yugioh 100% has the coolest lore and art of any TCG
I loved this video.
There's nothing better than watching a story unfold with cards you didn't think were initially linked in some way
Thanks! Glad to hear it!
Great storys xD Very good job!
Sangan's story is adorable. XD Love him meeting Graceful Charity and Witch of the Black Forest in the forbidden realm.
this is definitely your best video yet I will love a second part, keep up with the nice work dude!
Thanks! I appreciate hearing it. I'm planning to do a a list on "the other top ten" backstories based on comments I've received so far.
I'm so happy! That Goblin finally returned home! I Spent years thinking he would wonder the multiverse forever!
This has been the single most interesting video I've seen in a very long time. Never did I imagine these kind of stories were told through multiple cards!
Glad you enjoyed the video! I always liked how Yugioh did that, so I decided to draw some attention toward it.
I kind of wish they'd do more with the lore stories from the cards. Since they go a lot deeper than just being a card game.
I gotta admit, this is the best video I've seen in YT on a while.
Thank you!
I would LOVE a mini-series where each episode (or every couple of episodes depending on how complex the specific story is) focuses on a different card's backstory.
DUDE THIS IS HILARIOUS!!TRUE AND HILARIOUS!!! I honestly need to say congrats for putting so much effort to this vid you just made my day awsome.
Hi you inspired my first YTP your my fav contreate create on the tubes you and your whole NetWork.
One of my favorite Yugioh vids out man thanks 👍🏽
The lore of the cards is one of the many reasons yugioh has lasted through the years. Early yugioh was so much fun you had to be there.
Just when I thought Sangan couldn’t be anymore wholesome and pure... *Sanwitch*
why do i feel like i just watched like a billion tv shows?
this was absolutely amazing, thank you.
i'm gonna see these cards in a whole new light now
Thanks! I always loved piecing together the stories, so I'm glad to hear other people enjoyed the final product!
I love this shit, I always wonder about cards stories when I look at the art and this is just totally awesome
This is a great job man! Well done I very much enjoyed this! 👍
You did a wonderful job my brother.
Thank you!
This is actually one of the best yugioh videos I've seen on UA-cam. Nobody would think yo talk about this.
Thank you!
We need more of this
One thing that should be mentioned is that when gagagigo the risen is taken into the new dimention marauding captain has his hands on the dimentional barrier in a way that looks like he's not too happy gagagigo's being taken away.
Top ten anime saddest moments
03:33 I think it was the cross around his neck. In Japan they don’t care but that sort of stuff doesn’t go over well just look at exodia and monster reborn.
Very original list. I like it!
Thanks!
Always thought some of these cards have story or connected. love your work! hope you do more of this!
The goblin's work in the factory, for example, I remember seeing long before some of the other stuff, though it could be in part because there are tons of cards I haven't seen.
the events in the card art needs its own show
Here’s a thought: what if the imperial order king is how the king views himself in his mind? Where the other cards show how he actually is
That would be a funny revelation! Yugioh has plenty of self-referential gag artwork, so we could see it at some point.
I had no idea how desperately my soul needed this video. All those warriors were my peeps.
after seeing sangans story, it makes a lot more sense why i've seen a lot of fan art of him hanging out with the tour guide from the underworld.
Wow that's deep, I'm a huge Yu-Gi-Oh fan but I never knew there was a backstory for monsters :0, nice video btw 😁👍🏻
Very enjoyable with your stories. Dair Grepher and Dark Night was some I liked a lot and wondered if they had some dragon slayer stories toghether.
17:38 It's an Archfiend version for The Simpsons but it's The Archfiends. (Hell version)
Great job on this, it was a lot of fun to watch.
Thanks! Glad you liked it
The tyrant King gets censored with a shirt yet Konami has no problem with buff shirtless men
The whale at 12:00 could be reference to hitchhikers guide to the galaxy where a whale basically appears just out of nowhere up in the air, falls down, realises it's own existence and shortly after that dies.
Maybe a bit farfetched but still quite cool if true
Oh snap. He's back in 'Dark Ruler no More'!!!
I was just thinking about this video. Glad to watch it again.
Thanks for dropping by again!
@@MrTopTenList your card backstories are fun to watch. Hope to see another one.
I suggest you look into it for the full story, but it is quite the grand tale.
wow that was a lot more neat and interesting then I thought it would be, you could make a series with all the lore and backstories you discussed
Mr. Top TenList, woudl you do a video with Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories on the Ps1? I love thaed that game when I was in Elementary school.
The art for D.D. Guide is sick
Top Ten Yugioh cards From the Manga and Anime that were never made into IRL cards
Like Skull Bat and King Rex
Since Demons' and Dark souls i've taking itens as ways of telling stories. And, damn, how fun it is to see Yu Gi Oh in that light!
I've also kinda noticed some references of some monsters to Berserk manga.... THAT'S SO AWESOME - lol, notice how YT creepingly has Berserk related videos to this topic -, for example
Dai Grepher is obviously Guts
Warrior Lady is like a blond version of knight Caska
- they hated each other in the manga as well at some point -
Witch of Black Forest is post eclipse messed up in the head Witch Caska
Dark Lucius is obviously Guts in his berserk armor
and there's even a card that resembles Corkus when he was willing to kill Guts
Really enjoyed this. I've always been interested in the backstories of cards.
Glad you liked it!
There's also the theory that "Warrior Dai Grepher" became "Dark Blade" in one scenario after equipping "Metalsliver Armor".
You did a wonderful job my brother.
Sangan never was freed, konami kills the real one the one their "freed" is an impostor.
So what was the cute little anti-Kuriboh banned for?
To add to it: at the time he was banned there were quite the amount of monster with either good stats for their cost (back then: Summoned Skull) or decent stats and a good effects (Jinzo) that had less than 1500 Defense.
Also the reason why witch didn't get banned because there weren't that many great mons for her.
Tenesfer yet other cards add it straight to the field. Pyramid Turtle being one of the betterones
I assume that it is because, at least with your example, they have other restriction.
Well that and sometimes the ban-list just straight up doesn't make sense. Sometimes they ban cards for archetypes that very few people play. And the later usually is for a reason.
I think the six samurai (old and new) deserve a video :P Interesting Stories nontheless. A job well done friend
I just watched a video on skull servant's Story, that one's really good as well!
dude, yeah I didn't know all of the storylines but if you (or anyone) are fascinated by lore and that, you can check out the Master guides, they are all translated in the wiki. :D
love anything yugioh! specially when a video is well done like this one thank you bro it was fun
Thanks a lot!
