  • In this tutorial, I'll show you how to easily delete files on your Chromebook, whether they're located in your Downloads folder, Google Drive, or other storage locations.
    🗑️ What You'll Learn:
Delete Files from the Downloads Folder:
Open the Files app on your Chromebook.
    Navigate to the "Downloads" folder.
Select the file(s) you want to delete by clicking on them.
Right-click on the selected file(s) and choose "Delete" from the menu.
    Confirm the deletion when prompted.
    Delete Files from Google Drive:
Open the Files app on your Chromebook.
Click on "Google Drive" in the left sidebar.
Navigate to the folder containing the file(s) you want to delete.
Right-click on the file(s) and select "Remove" or "Move to Trash."
    Confirm the removal when prompted.
    Empty the Trash:
Deleted files are moved to the Trash or Bin.
To permanently delete them, click on the "Trash" or "Bin" icon in the Files app.
Right-click on the files in the Trash and choose "Delete forever" or "Empty trash."
Confirm the action to permanently delete the files.
    Delete Files from External Storage:
If you have files on an external USB drive or SD card, plug it into your Chromebook.
Open the Files app and navigate to the external storage location.
Select the files you want to delete and right-click to choose "Delete" or drag them to the Trash.
    Use Keyboard Shortcut:
For a quick deletion, select the file(s) and press "Shift + Delete" on your keyboard.
This bypasses the Trash and permanently deletes the file(s).
Remember, deleted files cannot be recovered unless they're in the Trash. Once you empty the Trash, the files are gone for good.
