Spending quality time with one another is priceless and doesn't require spending a lot of money and running every where until your so exhausted at the end of the trip that you realize I didn't get to truly enjoy myself. That last snip was hilarious! Xander truly is maturing before our very eyes - fascinating to see him adopting adult-type poses and expressions and he's not at school yet, is he? (Kids in UK generally start school late 4-yrs, depending on their birthday & of course so many of them are in nursery & pre-school almost from infant-hood.) You all certainly had a lovely time camping, Xander is a great Big Brother & Lexie seems very content. - I think it is great fun for kids, get them into nature (I'd hope!) doing all kinds of real life things they mightn't do in their regular life, share chores, cook on the open fire (rather than going for take-outs) & gets them thinking outside the box. Sometimes I suggest camping at home - (especially if one is rural) my young relatives love to camp out in the orchard on the farm at home, & the Old Folks can come out & have fun for an hour or two, too. (Nolan!!) So doesn't have to be expensive, but parents can make even that into something of an adventure - to that question: spending REAL TIME with your kids & yes, taking them with, sharing your passions, so important. Lovely video.

Wonderful camping trip. When my husband and I went camping, we slept in a little tent. It wasn’t very pleasant. My back hurt for days. He didn’t want to fish or go on walks. 😬

You and Nolan have a wonderful relationship. You two are great parents. As parents you will find multiple "transition" ages where your kids seem to change/jump ahead without you realizing it. Just remember, it is ok to tell your children that they need to be comfortable with "alone time" and not always depend on you, and Nolan, for entertainment. Do not worry, you are doing a great job.

I use to love camping. The kids always got along, we would sit around the camp firer and just talk. It’s like a whole another world. Do it as much as you can. Our one son has a camper. They go to the shore each year. Camping is something that will give them ( kids ) great memories. Loved the questions.

As a parent, you guide your children to be a solid person of character, have integrity, and awareness of God's grace. Jeanine, you show yourself as a human being - no one is perfect, only God is perfect and with his grace we try to be the best we can be as a person. It shows you and your husband are teaching your children the way forward. This is only my opinion, from one imperfect human following in God's grace.

I really enjoy your videos and how well they are put together. You have mad skills :). Lexi seems to be a good sleeper - comparing her to my granddaughter who had trouble sleeping for the first 10 months of her little life.
Oh I am so glad you guys still like going camping there, I Love to see it there I miss it so very much. It was our favorite place to go every weekend and we would go there for the whole week of the 4th of July, back then( in the 70' s) that was the only vacation time my parents had, vacation time off they would close their work down for that week and that was when we would go . Watching you guys there just brought back so many memories , when Xander was fishing and the hook caught his shirt, I remember when my older brother went to cast out his line it caught the back of his ear and he was screaming and bleeding. I laughed at him because he always acted like he was the best at everything and that showed he wasn't. LOL ! Have you been over to headache hill? It is a old water tower that you can go up on and get a beautiful panoramic view, I Love it up,there. There is a ice cream stand that's down the road from headache hill , it used to be called the pirates cove ,they had great ice cream I am not sure if it is still there or not. Maybe next time you go maybe ask about it and there use to be a small miniature golf place that had good pizza and there was a great ice cream place across the street from the golf course, it use to be called the black bear but I think they may have changed the name that is if it is still there. Oh the memories, I got teary eyed when I watched this because all of the memories came rushing back to me. We took our son camping there and he loved fishing as well, we met a lot of awesome people camping and we are all still good friends. Thanks for sharing my happy place in your videos. Really enjoy your channel. You mentioned that you have ulcerative colitis. Can you share more of your life with having it. My son is 24 and was diagnosed at 21. It got bad that he now sees a specialist in Denver. He is in remission taking Humira in the last year. Please keep him in your prayers. His 7th colonoscopy is coming up in December.

My children are in their 20’s now and one is married with a 3.5 yo son an baby on the way. We all enjoy camping but to go together is hard to schedule now. In 5 weeks we are spending a weekend at a local state park. We’ve rented a cabin. Our plan is to make it an annual event. Camping as a family is such a great way to create memories that last forever.

The little seat cushion that you put Lexie in is a marvelous invention; the way it holds baby upright & supported so she can take part in activities instead of having to be laying flat all the time. I use to love camping. The kids always got along, we would sit around the camp firer and just talk. It’s like a whole another world. Do it as much as you can. Our one son has a camper. They go to the shore each year. Camping is something that will give them ( kids ) great memories. Loved the questions.
This was a lovely vlog. Xander is a fantastic big brother. He will be very protective over her as they grow. Great idea on the question game. It went very good. Another lovely video! 🥰 A key to quell your worry about the teenage years is keeping the lines of communication open; like any other relationship. As a parent, you guide your children to be a solid person of character, have integrity, and awareness of God's grace. Jeanine, you show yourself as a human being - no one is perfect, only God is perfect and with his grace we try to be the best we can be as a person. It shows you and your husband are teaching your children the way forward. This is only my opinion, from one imperfect human following in God's grace.

I really enjoy your videos and how well they are put together. You have mad skills :). Lexi seems to be a good sleeper - comparing her to my granddaughter who had trouble sleeping for the first 10 months of her little life.

Oh I am so glad you guys still like going camping there, I Love to see it there I miss it so very much. It was our favorite place to go every weekend and we would go there for the whole week of the 4th of July, back then( in the 70' s) that was the only vacation time my parents had, vacation time off they would close their work down for that week and that was when we would go . Watching you guys there just brought back so many memories , when Xander was fishing and the hook caught his shirt, I remember when my older brother went to cast out his line it caught the back of his ear and he was screaming and bleeding. I laughed at him because he always acted like he was the best at everything and that showed he wasn't. LOL ! Have you been over to headache hill? It is a old water tower that you can go up on and get a beautiful panoramic view, I Love it up,there. There is a ice cream stand that's down the road from headache hill , it used to be called the pirates cove ,they had great ice cream I am not sure if it is still there or not. Maybe next time you go maybe ask about it and there use to be a small miniature golf place that had good pizza and there was a great ice cream place across the street from the golf course, it use to be called the black bear but I think they may have changed the name that is if it is still there. Oh the memories, I got teary eyed when I watched this because all of the memories came rushing back to me. We took our son camping there and he loved fishing as well, we met a lot of

Really enjoy your channel. You mentioned that you have ulcerative colitis. Can you share more of your life with having it. My son is 24 and was diagnosed at 21. It got bad that he now sees a specialist in Denver. He is in remission taking Humira in the last year. Please keep him in your prayers. His 7th colonoscopy is coming up in December.

I'm glad that you had a wonderful time camping with the family. It's nice to take time away to do that. It's also nice to come home and appreciate the home a little more.
Don't borrow trouble being concerned about the future and all that it might entail. Just take it moment by moment, day by day, and the Lord will give you what you need when you need it. He always does. 😊

My children are in their 20’s now and one is married with a 3.5 yo son an baby on the way. We all enjoy camping but to go together is hard to schedule now. In 5 weeks we are spending a weekend at a local state park. We’ve rented a cabin. Our plan is to make it an annual event.
Camping as a family is such a great way to create memories that last forever.
I can imagine schedules get complicated! So glad you get to do that I how you all have a great time!

Thank you for hauling us along on your family 🏕 camping trip. I really liked Xander & his fish 🐟🎣. The little seat cushion that you put Lexie in is a marvelous invention; the way it holds baby upright & supported so she can take part in activities instead of having to be laying flat all the time. Wish I'd had one of those many years ago (my oldest turned 35 years old last month). Wow! Time really does fly by us. Enjoy your family. ❤❤
