- With my husband out in Oregon helping his family, I decided to go on a special Mother/son Date with my 4 year old, so we headed off to Dutch Wonderland for a fun day of rides and laughter! We had such a great time!

Smiling and laughing out loud . You will have to watch this with him some rainy day, Mom you have such a kind son. His gestures when you told him you were feeling sick were so sweet. I love his love of life and just being a little boy that makes those around smile and remember when they were that age.
Yes... I take these videos so years down the road we can all sit down and watch them. I know, I truly saw his expressions in the video afterwards how he was worried for me. Makes my heart melt!

Oh my word, Dutch Wonderland! I went there when I was young, I took my children there when they were young, next will be the grand children. Looks like Xander had a great time. Jeannine, you're a good mom, some of those rides gave me a milkshake tummy just watching the two of you. Should I go with my grand children I think I will be a bystander and let the parents get milkshake tummies with the grands. Thanks for sharing your adventure, it brought back fond memories for me. Wooo, it must be a happy day for Xander! When I'm a child, we don't even have this condition to go to such an amusement park. But now, we can go too by ourselves. Yeah, it is really really really funny, we only need to do is enjoying the day.

😆 yes they cracked me up too! There was a group of them I believe... that came from a special needs home... and they were so serious the whole time! Was funny!
We took our boys to a 50 inches and under park which was awesome . Not too big and they could go on all the rides . So fun !

Xander, you are way braver than I am. (I am 68) . Thank you for letting me come along. I always wondered what that park looked like. We have been in that area many times but never in that park. I would say that was a great mommy and son day.

Dutch Wonderland! Oh the memories! It’s pronounced Strazburg. Lancaster County is where I was born and raised. ❤️. You were brave to take him on the rollercoaster. When our daughter was little her daddy took her on the scary rides! As she got older Hershey Park was more her style.

Oh my, the dodgems & car would have been my cuppa, just about everything else I'd have been jumping off - the spinning disc-thing is frightful, I nearly came off it the only time I ever rode it, but I don't recall it going backwards - or maybe that's when I tried to bail! Things not to do with vertigo!!!! Looked like a nicely kept theme park with plenty to keep just about everyone happy. Thanks for sharing - even the last time I rode the carousel it was too fast for me!!!!! Take care!

I loved taking my kids to Dutch Wonderland when they were little! Such great memories! We live right in South Jersey so it’s only 1.5 hours from us. We drive up now just to do some grocery shopping several times a year!

Yes, as a child many years ago, in the early 60’s I went to Dutch Wonderland. It has changed a great deal. More rides now!

Great way to fill the void of a missing Dad for a day! From here it looked like every ride EXCEPT the big roller coaster was Xander's favorite. Good of you to go through that with your sensitive stomach. Looks like you had a gorgeous day and beautiful scenery there. Had never heard of that park before. Bet they will be busier next summer because of this video!

I was sitting safe in my recliner and I still felt like a milkshake! Brings back memories when I took my children to Dollywood and King's Dominion, with the exception that their dad had the privilege of having that milkshake kind or feeling! I shared Xanders experience (shown on his face) riding the roller coaster! I began to believe that I was putting the Lord to the test too much in asking for His protection...yep, I'm a humongous CHICKEN! Proud of you for enduring to the end to brighten your son's day! 😀 yes some of those rides can be scary lol. But I think I enjoyed it as much as he did. Thankfully no slingshot type rides or I would've been trembling myself!
Such a great day foe you two! I bet he was talking all about it the next few days afterwards?LOL!! I know our son did,he was about Xander's age when we took him there also,but he wasn't tall enough for some of the rides either. Which was sort or a blessing ... If you know what I mean? LOL!! If you go back up camping up at Prince Galitizen ,take a day trip down to Tipton ,Pa. And take Xander to Delgrosso's amusement park, it is really reasonably priced and they have a water park as well,You can get a day pass and ride rides and play at the water park ,it is so worth the money. They have a walk over the highway from one side of the park to the other. I think you guys would enjoy it and their food is sooo good. It use to be called Blands Park when I was young ,but The Delgrosso family bought it and made it a lot bigger since I was little. It is only a few miles away from Tyrone ,maybe next year you guys could go there. The Delgrosso family has their own Spaghetti sauce line ,they sell it in stores all over the country. We Love their sauces. You should check out their website and see if it is some place you would like to go to. We Love it there . The park is very clean and I think Xander would Lobe it there. It usually opens on Mother's day weekend and runs till The last weekend in September. But like I said just check out their website. Hope Nolan had a productive time back home . I hope he had a safe trip home as well.hugs from Ephrata.😘💓

We have a new place called Agape on Rte. 896, just a mile or so from Dutch Wonderland, and it’s awesome - great drinks, food & deserts! Also has a shop connected that has beautiful farmhouse decor. 🥰❤️
