i still can't let go of my first 3x10 mtb and did repaint by myself into flat black then i bought a carbon rigid fork,i still use it til today, hey i loved the outcome of your project bike
@@BikeWithJohn - I think a 1x10 would suite someone who's accustomed to a single speed tbh. Like an Advent 1x 10 or depending on the levers you got - if they are 10 speed.
nice bike, will you make a future video about that fork?, I want to buy one but my trust on carbor fiber is not good. I use my bike for commuting, still, the roads here are not the best.
After buying a gravel bike, I concluded that a regular mountain bike, even a retro one, is simply better if you truly want to ride off-road. However, if you mainly ride on pavement, a road bike is much better. Gravel is a rotten compromise.
What a great bike. I got very similar looking Carbon fork from Ali Express four years ago to go on my Stanton Sherpa steel hardtail..been perfect.
Haha, glad to hear it's been working. Hoping mine holds up the same.
Beautiful conversion. Not enough people make these something from nothing bikes.

Great video! Seeing my bike workshop at 5:30 was cool. Glad I got to be involved for part of the project.
@@robertweiss9911 thanks man, I appreciate the help 🙏
amazing job for real!
Nice looking bike, I'd be tempted to put rx400 derailleur at back and utilise the 10 speed. But nice looking bike. 💯
Thanks man. I've been thinking that same thing. I'll probably upgrade that in the spring.

Nice bike revive. The A2C of that fork looks tall. Was it designed for MTB?
v brakes internal cable, thats rare, anyway be more careful with angle grinder
