Whenever I see any pests or webs I use neem oil. 🤘🤘🤗
If you diffuse your hair on high heat it will be damaging in the long run. If you use it on the cool setting it won't be damaging. If at all you need heat you can switch it to the medium setting for a few seconds. With will be less damaging. Air drying also causes hair damage in the long run. So 'the dose of the poison' argument applies here.

Hi Michelle, I started doing the CG routine after coming across your videos. My curl definition is fine but they look frizzy after a while. Can you help suggest a good deep conditioner also, how do I tie my hair? Any sort of hair accessories that to be used for curly hair. Waiting for your reply

I'm following CGM techniques religiously since 3 months. But I'm still struggling with definition. I have very fine, feather light and low density 2b hair. No matter what I do, how carefully I dry my hair, clump opens up so easily and I'm back to the old days of poofy frizz ball, within 1-2 hours. Gels are not able to hold my waves. My hair is not weighed down. Its just not holding the beautiful clumps I formed by spending 1.5 hours in shower.☹️ Any suggestion?
Could you tell me which gel you're using? What if you go in with a mousse first and then double up with a gel. Or use a gel after you finish plopping? Or start on slightly damp hair instead of wet hair. There's a lot you can do. Don't give up just yet.
@@MichelleManuel My shower routine involves Shampoo - Condition - STC - FMC leave in/FMC butter - FMC gelly/Set wet ultimate hold gel.I didn't buy mousse because I was already overwhelmed with products I'm using☹️. Also, because my hair wasnt weighed down at all from gel. Damp styling always gave me frizz. So I do wet styling. I do upside down styling, and sometimes I have tried plump method for thicker clumps. I plop for 40 mins and carefully hover-diffuse.
Hi anu, i know its been a while and maybe u solves the problem already, but id suggest you try plopping for 15min instead of 40, that should keep more moisture in your hair, maybe thats something you could do :)
@@Walkingtalkingprayer Thank you for your reply. I agree with your plopping suggestion. And the 15-20 mins works great, if I have done damp styling with lighter products. Lately, I have realized I need little more moisturizing leave-in/curl cream and gel, to maintain the definition and clumping until next wash. Plopping time would be little more required here, because the product has to form 15-20% cast, before I can start diffusing. Otherwise, I have to dry my hair close to 50mins, which is painfully long.
Hi Michelle, I love your videos as it has even helpful to me. I tried your beginner steps and it worked. But I seem to have dandruff, which I never have before and my curly hair is thin. So the night before, I generally use coconut oil and the next day, now I can take the steps you use in respect of non wash days. The antidandruff shampoo in SA is generally not for curly hair. Can I use any antidandruff before, I can get the right products from Amazon. I don't have a diffuser as yet, therefore it takes basically the entire day to dry as it's cold in SA. I also coloured my hair, would this have an impact as my roots where Going Grey and wanted my natural hair color back with the curls. Any advice. Thank you so much. God bless you 🙏 ❤
Okay. I'll answer one thing at at time. Dandruff: are you sure you have dandruff or is your gel flaking? If you apply gel on hair that is not wet, it might look like flakes when it dries. So always apply on damp hair
Is it okay to colour your hair on cg? CGM does not allow hair colouring. I follow a modified version of cgm. You'll see how i colour my roots at home. Covered the whole process. Check out my videos. All your questions have been answered in detail
@@MichelleManuel perfect, I'm going to check how you do it. As honestly, it didn't work and was going crazy. Going to check it out. You are a real gem 💎
Hi Michelle I am a beginner to the CG method. I wanted to know that in this refreshing technique, can we skip the diffuser part? Since I dont have one. And if yes, is air drying alternative to the diffuser in this technique? Thank you
How to control frizziness of hair??I am just a beginner..Though i already have a frizzy dry hair..and after doing this CHM,hair becomes good in the 1st day then frizziness increases..Any solutions for it??
Use a serum. I have a video on cg serums in India. It should help within reason. Your best bet is a good set of hairstyles... They help to disguise frizz like crazy when you first start. In the beginning you're going to have lots of frizz. It's going to take time before you perfect your styling routine. Once you do it will settle down to a great extent. After that you'll need to clarify and maintain protein moisture balance. And then you're good to go
Hey Pali. You don't need a diffuser to refresh. I used it because it makes the process much faster and helps when you're in a hurry. I think my in post workout refresh video I used a similar method, minus the diffuser (if I remember correctly).
Hey Michelle! This is such an easy refresh video, definitely trying it out. I have a query - how do you get to know if your hair needs more water while applying the gel? 🙂
Brilliant question. So when you're refreshing quickly, you don't want to get the hair too wet. You want it to be on the slightly damp side. You're not looking for that squishy sound either (like when you style on washday). If you keep adding water till you hear the sound, the drying time will be way longer. So just check to see if the water you added is just enough to pat down all your fly-aways and broken clumps. That should be enough. One to 3 sprays of water should be enough if at all (depending on your length).
I have a video on oils for curly hair based on porosity and a video on serums that are cg friendly. Please have a look and choose as per your requirement. :)
Hi Shizza. So if you look up curly hair products in Pakistan, you will find 2 youtubers, Bhaloo and Plantbasedpakistani. They have some curly hair turtorials on their channels. So after I did a bit of digging, I see that you guys don't have amazon in Pakistan. I'm guessing the creators bought from Amazon in the states and had it shipped. (Which means they probably had to pay customs). This would be a super expensive affair. My advice to you is this, follow the techniques and routines but don't follow cg. Look for any shampoo, conditioner, leave in conditioner and gel that you can find there (that suits your budget). CGM is one method of taking care of curls but it's not the only method out there. Lots of textured people use silicones and sulphates and their hair looks great. So don't fuss about products. Use whatever you can find there.
Hi Michelle I also have hard water at my place and it has made my hair fall a lot. Also rough and dry. I have stopped using stylers, and hair is in a pathetic state. In place of leave in conditioner, can I use leave in cream?
I'm not sure if hard water causes hairfall per say. I think if there's excessive build up on the scalp for a prolonged period of time, it could potentially lead to hair fall. Maybe try clarifying. Switch it a cream if your hair can take the weight.
I would never recommend refreshing that often. I've mentioned this point in detail in my first video on how to fully refresh your hair. Have a look. Do it sparingly when absolutely necessary. Other than that I don't have any other solution to offer.
Would it be possible to line your helmet with satin? Buy some satin fabric and try to use some fabric glue and see if it holds. If not, wear a satin scarf underneath your helmet.
Hi Michelle, i started CGM journey, itz been 10 days. But when i am not washing my hair for 3-4 days, dandruff is comingon my scalp. Usually i don't have dandruff, but when i dont clean my hair properly or for long period, it comes. Need your suggestion. Please advise
Would it be possible for you to wash with either a more cleansing shampoo or wash a little more frequently? I have zero experience with a scalp scalp. I might not be the best person to ask. But it sounds concerning. If your scalp itchy as well? Do you feel like washing a little more regularly will help the issue? Would you be able to style your hair if you wash more frequently? What if you did a simple rake and scrunch with a leave in + mousse (lesser drying time) Have a look at the video and see if it's feasible. Could we rule out possible product allergies/build up? I'm know I'm throwing suggestions out there. Let me know what you experience if you decide to change any of these factors in your routine.
@@MichelleManuel no itchy scalp, 3rd day i feel like some oil buildup on my scalp, hair strands look fluffy. Washing a little more regular might help and will be able to do styling as well but is it advisable in CGM JOURNEY
If it's oily then dry scalp massage for 7 mins. It will help to move the oil lower to the strand. I've noticed that it helps me. About your other concerns I just replied to your other thread.
Diffusers for curly hair have this setting called cool. You also have a low fan setting. You can diffuse your hair using the no heat and low fan setting.

Using diffuser won't cause any damage to the hair???
And thank you so much for sharing all the tips and tricks it really helps alot ❤❤
Hey di, can you please make a video on dandruff and hair fall. I have oily scalp and dry hair ends as you have said in your routine video can u pls suggest a shampoo as this dandruff problem is going to be out of control bcoz of winter's. BTW congratulations on 10k 🎉🥰
I can't recommend a shampoo for dandruff. Contact a doctor if it's a severe issue. I'll try to make a video on dandruff soon. I do have a video on hairfall that you could watch. I have a video on hair loss coming very soon as well. ❤️
@@MichelleManuel thank you so much for replying. It's not severe dandruff. Your videos are really helpful 🙂 and now I am gonna wait for your video on dandruff.
Does applying these products without washing not cause hair damage?
Is it okay to refresh daily as my hair can't stand sleeping despite me putting them in a bonnet
Thank you!
❤️
Its too hot in rajasthan so i cant keep my hairs open . But in pony tail it doesn't look even ( lenths ) .or they loose there shape after i open scrunchie since i do tight pony as loose ones doesn't last
Hi Michelle, I started doing the CG routine after coming across your videos.
My curl definition is fine but they look frizzy after a while.
Can you help suggest a good deep conditioner also, how do I tie my hair? Any sort of hair accessories that to be used for curly hair.
Waiting for your reply

Shall i do this on my low porosity hair? Would it be no problem?
If you still think it's dandruff check out my last monthly favs video. I spoke about how to go about dandruff control when following cg
Can I use curl up curl cream and dilute it in water and use it instead of this ?
Hi Michelle
I am a beginner to the CG method. I wanted to know that in this refreshing technique, can we skip the diffuser part? Since I dont have one. And if yes, is air drying alternative to the diffuser in this technique?
Thank you
Yes. It's totally fine
And then you're good to go
@@MichelleManuel Thank you so much 😊😊❤️
Hey awesome video .. had a question tho, is it necessary to use a diffuser while refreshing? Or air drying works too?
Got it, thank you so much! ❤️
Do you refresh you curls everyday (except the wash days)
Hey Preesha. I don't refresh my hair normally. I just use a light oil everyday to lubricate the hair strands.
I only refesh when absolutely necessary.
Can you suggest few oils/serums for SOTC?
I have a video on oils for curly hair based on porosity and a video on serums that are cg friendly. Please have a look and choose as per your requirement. :)
Hey Michelle - is it mandatory to use the diffuser while refreshing the hair. Can we not air dry ?
You can air dry if you want. It's totally fine
hey michelle can i air dry instead of diffussing
How often do you suggest refreshing in a week for office looks?
Once max. I refresh maybe once a month based on where Im going. I mostly just wear an updo/pineapple.
im watching this at 6am 😂 my hair is a mess right now
So lucky found ur chhanel ❤❤❤❤❤
❤️❤️
Will just a curl styling cream work as well?
A curling cream will give you some shine. It wont give you hold or this kind of volume.
is this good for hair using this much products?
I'm from Pakistan
And I have also curly hairs
Which Pakistani curly hair products I used..?
Plz sis guide me
Love from Pakistan ❤️
I need to refresh my wavy curly hair every alternative day, these techniques cause hydral fatigue to the hair, what should we do avoid that.
I would never recommend refreshing that often. I've mentioned this point in detail in my first video on how to fully refresh your hair. Have a look.
Do it sparingly when absolutely necessary. Other than that I don't have any other solution to offer.
Hi Michelle... Could u advise on how to carry curly hair with helmet?
Would it be possible to line your helmet with satin? Buy some satin fabric and try to use some fabric glue and see if it holds. If not, wear a satin scarf underneath your helmet.
@@MichelleManuel Ya I would try that
Hi Michelle, i started CGM journey, itz been 10 days.
What if you did a simple rake and scrunch with a leave in + mousse (lesser drying time)
Have a look at the video and see if it's feasible.
Can u make a video on how to maintain these curls under hijab or shawl or wearing head caps as i am a medical student
You can either use a pineapple keeper under or line your hijab with satin or silk. It should do the trick
If we let the hair air dry can these results be obtained?? Don't have a diffuser. I'm just starting out and it's all too overwhelming
Yes. You can air dry as well
I can’t seem to get the cast off of my hair. It always looks wet. What should I do?
Use an oil to sotc
How long does the one bottle of mousse approximately last ?
It lasts quite a while since it's a big bottle. I don't use it regularly so I'm not sure exactly how long
Why are you so awesome
❤️❤️
Isn't using diffuser against the whole logic of CGM? Why are we using heat? I don't understand
Diffusers for curly hair have this setting called cool. You also have a low fan setting. You can diffuse your hair using the no heat and low fan setting.
Which brand of mouse did you use?
Enliven
Which is the diffuser you have used here?
Hi Swetha! I've listed it in the description.
Can you please tell me your hair colour shade?
I have a video on my hair colour. Please have a look.
Do you comb out your hair on daily basis?
Nope. I don't comb my hair on non washdays
How many times a week you wash your hair?
Once a week
Hey, which diffuser do you use?
Here you go

Giveaway result?
If we use a leave in conditioner, will the hair foam up if we get wet in rain?
Hehehe, no no, I just shook the bottle like a crazy person which is why it formed bubbles. It's not going to bubble up on your hair. 🤭
Can I air dry my hair instead of using defuser ?
Yes absolutely. It will take longer to dry is all.

How to prevent frizz when travelling
Maybe get or make a pineapple keeper? Or see if you're comfortable using a satin scarf while travelling.
@@MichelleManuel yes i can, but i travel in my college bus
i mostly sit on window seat.
And its almost 1hr travel so i can't stop myself from sleeping/leaning back and it makes my hair look more frizzy🤧
