+Mr Mako No, really it's not. But this is a great concert. It was on MTV at the time (one night only), and I had my mother's best r\friend record it for me on VCR, lol. I'd watch it all the time. About Face is decent, though. Frankly every other PF solo album is better, except for Wright's stuff. Man, he was not a good solo artist. The two albums with Nick Mason's name on them beat About Face all to crap, btw -- both Profiles and Ficticious Sports. Carla Bley could have joined Pink Floyd and I'd have been good with it.
+Dan Williams Um, yes it is. It's compact, pop-inflected melodies, with occasional, airy brooders in PFmode (e.g., Murder) what a versatile artist Gilmour. The album is perfectly paved to hook the listener through its duration. Gilmour dares, successfully, to deviate from PF formula. It's actually my favorite of the PF solo albums, and I say this as someone displeased with PF continuing on without Waters.
I'm not very good with this funky sort of thing, But uh, sometimes, when the inspiration strikes, I can get down with the best of them. - David Gilmour
Absolutely awesome! I am a former weekend rock radio DJ at WHCN in Hartford, and I had just the audio from this concert in the 80's. "Blue Light" is my favorite cut from this show and the About Face album....I luv Dave's banter also.....The guy in the audience yelling out Roy Harper.:).......Dave saying...."I'd like to introduce you to the members of my ensemble:"......killer!
A lot of Floyd FREAKS don't like this song. Their loss. Saw this tour in July , 1984, Garden State Atrs Center, Holmdel NJ. Drummer Chris Slade, was later with The Firm and AC/ DC. SAW HIM ON THAT TOUR ALSO. This Song Jams!
Me gustan cada una de sus actuaciones, es una felicidad escucharte, toda esta música de él sobre todo y la de los demas músicos . Maravilloso ❤❤❤❤❤❤David Gilmour ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Was there! These were the days when you could find the band drinking in the bar before hand and have a chat. Dave at his most unrestrained and having fun!
So glad I found this! Full on jam session. Great performance! About Face is a really good album.

Nice boots Mr. Sax Player!!!!
I loved this so much when it came out. The 80's had some great stuff happening that gets forgotten.

That was great. Letting the band groove and have fun.
Awesome! Thanks for posting. This cut is off "About Face" his second solo CD.
Chris Slade on Drum kit NICE!!!

With even one single bendy bluesy note, David Gilmour can say more any speed demon guitarist.
genius
I think her name is Jamie Lynscott. Until she does her solo, you can't hear her at all, but when she gets her turn, she kills.
It's Jody Linscott
Her interaction with slade os the high point of this tune
