Yes it is majestic out their, I was their on the same trail back in the mid 90s but it didn't have any rock slides that covered the trail or grass growing across the trail back then, I still want to go back their someday cause it's a awesome site👍

On our fall trip doing the mighty five we were going to pass by Quadalupe on our way home and go right to Big bend,. Won't skip this because of your great video. Love your conversations with yourself! Well done.

Thanks, Kim! I'm actually headed west, so I won't make it to OK.

Idk if youre still there but if you arent hiking the guadalupe peak, i recommended mckittrick canyon. Many peoppe say its arguably the best trail in Texas. Good luck. I knew as you went further and further west you would see more and more beautiful places. Wait until you get to NM and Colorado!

Thanks Eric! I don't think I'll get to McKittrick Canyon this time. I'm doing Carlsbad Canyons this weekend, then moving on to White Sands NP.

I've done some reading on McKittrick Canyon and I may go hike it tomorrow before leaving Carlsbad. Thanks for the recommendation!

@Sue_Cloutier there's not anywhere close to the amount of hiking there was at big bend and guadalupe. You can see all of the park in one day easily. The Alkali Flats trail is probably the best (it's the longest). As far as advice I'd say if you want solitude just walk a little down the trail. Most people will be all around the start so if you walk a little ways out you'll definitely get some peace. Lastly expect EVERYTHING to get sandy!
