By the way, andy, i have built model airplanes for years since i was like 7 (im 15 now) and i had no idea that there were model tanks until i saw your videos. And over the years, i found that watching your videos has helped me improve in my skills in modeling. I recently looked back at my first model ( the revell f18 suler hornet) and i looked at my newest tamiya f14 and i realized how much i improved over the course of discovering your channel. The way you paint with the black wi th white higlights along with the dark yellow or the olive drab the get the one color two tone sorta deal with the model tanks is another thing ive been doing with my model tanks. Also, my grandfather gave me an airbrush for my birthday 2 years ago and ive watxhed your tutorials and they have helped me.
I'm 16 and I have been modeling for a similar amount of time, and I started on planes. My first ever model was either a JU 87 Stuka or a F4U Corsair. I dont remember which.
I started (again) back when i was 21, i found that as long as you constantly experiment and improve you will have a lot of fun. I'm happy to hear about so many younger people getting into this hobby.
Andy thanks! I'm buying this kit, very cheap and quality details i saw thanks to you)) I got BORDER Tiger kit with multiple variants, thanks to you i bought it too for my birthday 32 years)))
I purchased this model and it went fantastic. I assembled everything and painted and chipped, weathered etc . Then started on tracks ???? What a night mare ! These tracks are very difficult and a lot of clean up . Took me longer to do tracks than the rest of model 😢 . It’s A very nice kit ? But would recommend aftermarket tracks . Love your videos and keep them coming. Thank you sir .
Yes, very interested in the Tiger book, also enjoy your build video's very much. It challenges me to improve my efforts. Like others I am a Panzer nut as well. Tigers have always been at the top of my list. Thank's Andy
Hi Andy I just received my copy of the Panther book from the states and "oh boy" am I impressed with the contents of it, especially with the photographic selection, some I've never seen before. Cheers mate for bringing it to our attention.
Thank you for your work! Thanks to you I bought my first models. On Google maps even found your store. It is beautiful there. I'm from Ukraine. 70 km to the territory where the war is going on
Andy was home Sick last week and I've watched almost all of your videos... Great stuff! please keep it going ! Love your builds and techniques... plan to get to do some building soon.
First i thought... Damn it! Not another tiger!... But turns out to be a really good looking one! Plus, i never saw that way of making the zimmerit option... Thank u to share this video Andy!
Hey Andy. Yes, I'm def interested in this Tiger book. I love the Panther book so, why not purchase another reprint of this book. I just wanted to mention that another modeler made the suspension workable by cutting off the key on the torsion bar part, then pushed it through the lower hull and crimped the end with needle nose pliers and the running wheels will turn. Great build and I ordered this kit last week and should have it in 10 days or so. I'm really looking forward to building this Tiger and thanks for taking the time to vid your build.
Wow trumpeter has really made some improvement in the quality of their kits! I remember back in the days they used to make those cheap and rough kit, like the KV series. Nice review!
Looks like Trumpeter is right up there with Tamiya now in terms of parts fitting together. Quality Engineering! They were heading in this direction as far back as 2014 ( when I first noticed that their kits had notably changed )
I've been using a rivals metal tracks NOT nearly as good as the friulmodel ones AND the use of staples is brilliant thanks for that Andy never thought of that way used differant diameters of wire bought over e-bay was frustrating to say the least and very time consuming. ....I've bought two of the Trumpeter tigers (late edition) and a couple of the Academy ones again late so purchased the friulmodel tracks after I've struggled with a competitor's to do the early edition tigers (×3).....sorry to hear the bad news about your family i hope everything goes better for you all this year .....regards IAN from York,England (UK)
Yes, interested in the Tiger book!! :) I have noticed you can get this on Amazon, but I think it's a bit more expensive there, so if the price of the re-print is around the same as the Panther book then that will be worth getting the re-print.
It's a good looking kit, not sure if I need to add it to the pile of Dragon Tiger I's in the stash. I'd be more tempted to buy this kit if the tracks were accurate.
Hi Andy, great build of the Trumpeter late production Tiger1. The zimmerit is a brilliant idea! Andy, I'm interested in the reprint of the Tiger & Sturmtiger books by Feist. sorry if I spelt it wrong.

Yes, interested in the Tiger book!! :)
I have noticed you can get this on Amazon, but I think it's a bit more expensive there, so if the price of the re-print is around the same as the Panther book then that will be worth getting the re-print.

Came out looking better than the box art behind it, I have to say! Top stuff
The "little plug" on the rear wall leads to the engine's water cooling pipe. A blowtorch could be placed here on a cold morning to heat the water.

When your painting the stripes what is your psi?
I think that the part on the rear that you had to trim the zimmerite for was a cover used to crank start the engine.
should i glue the turret ring ?
Andy, do you have a website or do any kind of shipping for kits? Amazing video. I’m building a late tiger now. And very helpful for the pant
