Well, seeing this makes the entire accident involving Henry's speeding and intoxication and the tragic death of that lady & her dog even more sad. Henry's football career was inspired by a car accident and it ended with a car accident.

His football career maybe over but his life hasn't even really started yet. I'm sure he's not a bad person but actions have consequences. Hopefully when he is released from prison because I can't see him getting out of it without jail time. He turns into a positive person and makes a difference. To live with that guilt of what happened has to be extremely hard.

Neveda has the Strictest laws entire Country on Dui and Street racing. The 156 mph qualifies Ruggs to face sepretate charges on Street racing causes death. That is minimum 15 to 25. The 8 felonies Ruggs is facing is non probation violations. Meaning his lawyers can't drop or get all those charges changed to misdemeanors. I remember that day. I remember when we heard about it at Carver because one of our students was a passenger in that car. I re,member all the speeches to my students about wearing seat belts. I remember all of the days following the news about Rod, Darian, and the young lady who ended up in a wheelchair. I remember crying when I heard he died even though I didn't know Rod Scott personally. Three and a half years later and this still brings tears.

This multimillion-dollar athlete consciously chose not to call an Uber, not to call a limousine service, not to call a taxi after he became impaired. It wasn't a mistake and until we start realizing that it's a choice, this will continue to happen again and again. A mistake implies that he just needs to do better next time, needs to pay more attention, when we realize it was his choice, we can all choose never to drive while impaired.
