How can Fighting Films possibly compete with this FREE quality content?
A Name every champion has their techniques and super star judo has ENORMOUS database going back years
two of my favorites, follow both of these gentlemen. They're hilarious together, should do more of these team ups while the lockdowns are happening.
Very subtle Sumi Gaeshi, thank you both, gonna teach my son this throw.
This guy profile pic look like he going to throw his son outta the window
@@armandogarcia-halevi8375 Well my friend, judging by the number of gold medals in BJJ (Romanian championship) my son already collected, he is more than able to throw me. At 53 my judo is a bit rusty.
Smh do uk what a joke is
Not sumi gaeshi, more like hikikomi gaeshi.
Shintaro, you're a nice person calling Travis Stevens a nice person. The great Travis Stevens ... .The throw is taught as Hikkomi Gaeshi everywhere outside of Travis' dojo.
A hook sweep is a hook sweep.
@@jeefsquaa So? A hip throw is a hip throw; 10 of them in the Go Kyo. What are you saying?
@@jeefsquaa yes but the name is for practical reason to destinguish which variation of a hook sweep it is🤔
I follow both of you guys along with Marcel. You guys keep my mind and body working non stop.
Thanks again for sharing your knowledge of judo this was the first style I learned from a professional. As always GOD 🙏 Y'all and your team friends and family 🤘out.
Sliding yourself at an angle so you can get control of his hips very cool.
Very good!
Thank you Travis. Thank you Shintaro. I realy enjoy seing high level judo competitor share their knowledge.
That´s a great detail, many people don´t do it alright from that grip.
Yes!! Do the ne waza and tachiwaza video!!
Great stuff
these two are hilarious ... *tears*
I watched all the Doha 90kg masters a few weeks ago and I saw a bunch of sumi gaeshi's that looked like they failed for exactly the reasons discussed here. Its easy for me to armchair quarterback a bunch of people fighting at the top of the sport of course, but I wonder if that's what Travis was talking about with the "not pointing fingers" bit lol.
Fighting ?
Sumi Geishi the throw i manage too pull of the most. That said i am just a recreational guy haveing some fun so it is not saying much but somehow this seems too fit me most. I just seem too be the sacrifice throws kind of guy. I do it slightly differently usually. English not my best language but i will try to explain. I put the top of my foot against the front of uke's hip with my knee sticking as deeply as i can past his/her side. Then i just roll back and toss them over in a strait line. So i basicly am sligthly of his centerline while setting it up. If you can still follow me. I almost never have the problem of not quite not getting the throw like you showed. Then again i hardly ever practice with competing guy's. But as long as i get my position and load the guy properly on my lower leg/foot. They hardly ever seem to able to avoid their "dimise". Any thoughts on that way of doing it ?
They should do a Judo Comedy show together or sth lol I love the dy8between these two!!!
Please, teache Harai Goshi.
Travis v Shintaro randori and rolling, please! 😁
A way to newaza. BJJ gone 💖 this.
Sensei, Sumi gaeshi or hikikomi gaeshi 🤔?
Travis takes himself way to seriously, a legit Buzz Killington
So when are we gonna see some glove on glove sparring between you two? I'm sure I recall a challenge being laid down during a interview not that long ago? 🤷♂️ 😆😉
Can't wait to see it
So is this version of sumi more like a wing sweep then?
Also watching this is better than watching falcon and winter soldier 🤣
Not sumi gaeshi, more like hikikomi gaeshi.
