Story idea to get away from multi-dimensional for the most part.
Liu Kang has gotten his titan powers back and has to remain the titan of time. (Keeps him out of the story as an instant win)
Sub-zero finds a relic that ONLY shows alt universes and peers into the og MK1-armagedon. He fights to claim what he still feels is his right but also attempts to sway certain characters via their old personality reminders/acts done to them/ how low they have fallen from that universe. Keeps time and dimensions away from the cast used minus Sub-zero peering and stays planetary/realm in scale
All netherealm is missing is towers and some form of a krypt. Honestly, they should have made the invasions formula be the krypt itself, navigating and unlocking rng skins and fatalities but have boss fights tied to the more expensive krypt purchases

I agree with the thumbnail I think this mk1’s kameo system is actually fun and its not a 2v2 its a combo extender and starter still a 1v1 just an additional moveset for ur character essentially and I genuinely like the addon movesets

Hot take: Mk11 was the final Mortal Kombat where the characters each had a purpose but since every universe has their own Titan, it kinda makes introducing Onaga pointless because all the main hero would have to do is make peace with other titans of various characters from other universes to beat him. I know a lot hate Kronika, but with all these titans over various timelines kinda defeats the purpose of a Titan.
Bro netherealm studio lied to us all man, they said liu kang wouod be facing against an enemy he hasnt faced before and it not only turned out to be shang tsung but the original shang tsung he already beat in mk11 aftermath. I was personally hoping to see liu kang face someone like (ONAGA) the dragon king is like the thanos or darkside of mortal kombat and the guy needs to be shown why everyone fears him and also why the logo is a dragon
Titan Onaga exists and Ed Boon even said the dragon on the logo is Onaga so we'll see.
@@DonYoGi8331 I hope so I really do coz to me ONAGA is like the ultimate bad guy he literally feels intimidating and a legit choice for all realms to work together to stop him ect I just hope they make his design this time a bit smaller so they can show how skilled he is and not just a tank like goro kintaro and Motaro ect
i really think that Mortal Kombat 1 is a GREAT video game, no game is perfect and yes it has its flaws but i think it’s awesome

@@TRAY-D23because apparently it's a trend to hate on popular franchises now like Star Wars, Marvel, or MK. Even if people do genuinely hate a specific movie, show, or video game, their opinions shouldn't matter to you. Only you control your opinion.
I would LOVE to see Invasion to have a Mario Party-esque overhaul to make it accessible for both Main and Cameo characters to play as. And as old as MK IS, they have enough items, relics trophies, etc. to make a board game strategy with. Why waste all this opportunity , you know?
I just wish Sareena was playable and not just a kameo, she's a character I've wanted since MKX, and she was on a personal wishlist of characters I wanted leading up to MK1 release. I think certain kameos would have been better as playable instead of just being a kameo (Stryker, Sareena, Tremor are the three for me)

1.) 3 gear
2.) Custom intro, outro
3.) cancel opponent breakaway (god I love it)
4.) Kronika boss is better than Titan Shang Tsung in (MK1: Final Chapter)
5.) Krushing Blow
6.) Breakaway>Breaker
7.) Mini-Jump
8.) Krypt
The gameplay,graphics and story of mk1 are way better than mk11 , the most important things are better in mk1 than mk11
1. MK1 gameplay is far superior online
2. The roster is more viable than MK11s
3. 7 of MK11s DLC characters were underwhelming or mid not to mention half the roster iteself was mid
4.The gear in MK11 is quantity over quality
5. Krushing blow is nothing but a crutch for cheap damage

Breakaway is so annoying. Half the time its a gamble of whether you'll get punished or don't. Breaker. Just gets you out. Some characters have insane combos. And if you try to break. Boom punished

I want a 2v2 mode. Two player teams vs one another. If both you and your teammate win, you win. If you win but your teammate loses, you fight the opponent of your teammate. THIS WITH VOICE CHAT WOULD BE SO HYPE

I feel like the multiverse stuff was an excuse for them to have more skin variations to sell. Skins for undead Lui Kang, Old Lui Kang, Young Lui Kang, etc. lol.

Thanks for including my INVASIONS board game tweet! I made a whole video about the changes NRS could make to take INVASIONS in the right direction. It should be a mode people want to play not feel obligated to endure.

Mortal Kombat party could be one of the best things they could make. It could have motor Kombat, Chess Kombat, test your might, test your sight, and so much more. That's how you make money.
I think it would be cool to give us the option to play without a Kameo
Just to see the character strengths on their own and see some familiarity and callback to the older MK games.
2v2(ish) is fun, but the 1v1s were always a test of who was truly better at base without assistance

While you can argue people will see just how much Kameos do for this game, I believe you can go without them and master your character's raw power could be really good. Master the base without Kameo, you can get an even better understanding of which kameo can fit your character.

I think a hot take would be improving the grind, it gives more reasons to keep playing the game. Imagine having to rank a character like subzero to the max to unlock a noob saibot skin? Or having to complete the story for young version on shang tsung? Even an og remade shao skin without the horns etc. The only good looking smoke skin is the winter one imo, but they have such a huge oppertunity to add things like they are with new moves for rain, reptile and scorpion. Even shujinko. King jerrod skin for ermac? 😅 maybe this game is a tester to see what theyve done right and what they can improve on or may add into the next game. I believe injustice 3 may be in the works too so we might see what the fans want then too
MK1 is fun. I have played fighting games at a casual level my whole life. Didn't have Internet growing up so I only played locally with friends and family and didn't even know combos were a thing until I eventually got internet and saw people play online. I never played online until MK 1. I've played every MK game, grew up poor so we had old systems even when newer stuff was out so I grew up with MK trilogy and the 3D games even when MK trilogy came out before I was born. I also started actually taking time to learn how to play fighting games when Injustice 2 came out. Also played a lot of MK 11, mostly just to grind towers lol, but I have to say. Out of all the games, even revisiting MKX and MK9, MK1 was easily the easiest and most fun to play.
First there aren't a lot of confusing mechanics in MK1 that are in other games. Sprint, stamina, air escapes, ground escapes, and so on. Injustice 2 and MK11 were a lot harder in my opinion. Mostly having to manage meters, as the only way to combo was to use meter unless you play Fujin, was difficult. In those games it felt like in order be effective at all you had to know a lot of these systems and know when to use them.
With MK1 it can be as simple or as hard as you want it to be. You can play a character that has a bunch of move cancels and mixups with a kameo that you puppet around or just play a simple character and a kameo that just extends your kombos a little.
Mk1 was a hell of a lot easier to understand to me and allowed me to learn more complicated stuff as I wanted or stay with simple but still be effective. This was the first game where I was easily discovering combos on my own without needing to look up videos on characters and the best meter combos starters and so on. Up blocking I saw was a thing in reviews before the game came out so when the game came out I just practiced pressing up on jump ins and now it's become second nature. Combos are incredibly easy and the game was a lot easier to understand, at least to me, than every other MK game and like I said I have played them all.
As for those who don't like the Kameo system, it honestly just feels like an MK game where you can choose your own Injustice Trait. The combat is incredibly fluid and combos can be incredibly easy or incredibly hard depending on how you want to play.
The game can either be the easiest or the hardest in the series and that really depends on how you choose to play. If you think the game is too hard I'd say try an easy character with an easy kameo.
This will be the best mk of all time

Mortal Kombat is missing a wonderful co-op RPG experience and mini games. It would be epic to see Mortal Kombat style Mario party mini games and obviously I don't think there's a fan out there who doesn't want either a remake of Shaolin monks or a new story in that style. The mods for MK1 for PC are ridiculous and I absolutely enjoy seeing how pretty much everything is being put into the game and I thought MK 11 had epic mods 😮

Im sorry but I feel most of you have forgotten how Krypts work and the grind they are, especially in MK11. Invasions is simple compared to krypts. I played every krypt in every game going back to Deception. When krypt is done that's it no more content, in mk11 you could replenish krypt. I did so many times but majority is konsumables or crafting material with no guide on what to craft with just a few select recipes. How do you earn currency for the krypt, obviously by fighting matches in single player mode, towers, ext. and unless you change the rounds you are going to have to fight 2 rounds each time. In Invasions most are single round matches and the chests always include skin, palettes, gear more is added each season. I play invasions to level up my characters while unlocking content in Invasions, in Dragon Forge, in the seasonal currency store and when leveling up my characters. I've spend hundreds of hours in krypts and hundred plus in Invasions and here you get the best of both. Quicker matches to fight and access to actual character customization content. Krypts are a grind and having to search all over for chests you replenish in MK11 is a pain. I can't wait for next season of Invasions where Dark Raiden will be bringing the Thunder and lightning!
I love MK1's gameplay, roster and a lot of the new designs for characters. However, no matter what your feelings are on this game, it was clearly not finished when it first launched and still isn't now. There is just so much more this game should be capable of since a lot of the missing content is already in the game. More special moves, test your might/survival towers to play with instead of them being locked only in Invasions, DLC alternate costumes for Quan Chi and Ermac, and all online modes having access to crossplay.
Kreate a fighter in MK1 is the biggest missed opportunity! Not only does the game contain the Armageddon storyline but they've basically been building up to it. There have been customization options for special moves, intros/outros, gear pieces/ costumes, and now even fatality customization. All of that on top of the mutiverse timeline and gender swaps.The end of story mode was literally everything Kreate a fighter could have been.

The Mileena Season 4 skins with the Mohawks and green colors are not nearly as bad as people are making them out to be. Yes they don’t fit Mileena and should’ve came with Havik season, but they still look good enough

The game play is absolutely unbalanced. There's literally nothing competently put together. MKX was still unbalanced, but getting there. MK11 was mid. They finally found a game play worth keeping.
Ok I feel like RayShot was just thinking of everything and just accusing it without evidence, like the mk11 and mk1 skins are the same except mk11 put like 50 freaking color pallets that didn't even match. And then mk11 I feel like had worse micro transactions because you couldn't even f###### buy the full bundle like rains classic skin without waiting for the f##### shop refresh which the shop was down right bad. And then mk11s movement felt clunky and off because of how you moved but yea I feel like mk11 is just worse I know it's a hot take but in my opinion it's not good

Honestly I don't really like the mechanics in mk1 I feel like it makes for cheep combos (having to do the same move repeatedly in the same combo to get a good chain) and throwing in the kameos idk for me it's just not as fun. I know it'll never happen but I wish there was a mode where there were no kameo fighters

my biggest issue with mk1 is why do the dlc have such wide range of move sets and abilities and the main rosters limited I feel if they treated main roster the same attention as the dlcs it be more rounded overall better game just my opinion 💯
Every new MK game was better - in its own way - than the previous ones. That's why they are so great and NRS alwys does such a great job since the first reboot (MK 9). Which doesn't make the older games "bad" or something, they are simply products of their time and I still enjoy playing MK 9 and MK 10 (X) - even these days. They just don't look and feel as good as the current MK1, of course.
